Both movies talk about a wild animal that been raised by humans, the hero in Tibet Inu Monogatari is Douji; a dog with golden hair ,and in Daisetsusan no Yuusha Kibaou is Fang; a brown wolf. Both of those animals' human families had been killed by a giant monster. The way both of Douji, Fang, and their friends from the same tribe fought the evil creature is almost alike. beside both movies show how dogs are loyal to their owners.

Both have the same idea. In Mushi-Uta, the Mushi (insects) are able to consume people's dreams and thoughts. In Tegami Batchi, the Gaishou (also insects) eat people's feelings and emotions. After they devour people's thoughts and feelings, people become like dolls! They don't talk, speak, or show any reactions. They are alive but dead inside!
