I've rewatch this series twice and its still one of my favorite game to anime adaptation!

If you are a pso2 fan and have played the story before, this cover the story of Episode 1-3 and its well written with some little hidden details that some fans might have not notice in the game. In the game we are used to npc and character saying their depressing story but never actually get to see how brutally cruel the world is and how majority of the people can actually die.

This is actually a really good summary if you have played pso2 and played the story but ... want a quick summary of what the main plotline for pso2.

If you are not a pso2 fan and have not played their game you would probably be confused and just give a bad review without even trying their game and figure out more of the lore story for pso2. This anime is mostly for pso2 fans more then newbies who are interested in the cover.

Highly reccommend to play the game then watch the anime if you enjoy it.

This is based from what i noticed in the Anime Episode 1-3.

Hananoi-kun seem pretty classy and a typical popular high school kid at first. after the scene of him and his ex breaking up together at the cafe, It was kinda odd for him using the term "soulmate". After Hotaru lend him a hand with an umbrella, Hananoi started on being very closed to Hotaru even though they just met yesterday. then I noticed Hananoi may be a possessive yandere type.

Episode 1 - Hotaru lost her hairpin after giving it to a friend, Hananoi was watching and knew they might lose it. after it was ... being buried in the snow, Hananoi was searching for the hairpin in the snow just to "surprise" Hotaru. even if he has frostbite, he wouldn't noticed or cared if it's for the person he "loved loved" so much.

Episode 2 - he wrote down all the notes for Hotaru in a single night. 10 notebook in 1 night. even for a normal guy who have a crush on a girl they liked so much, they don't have the insanity to do 10 notebook in 1 night just to help the girl that they like. only a yandere would do that if you ask me. Hananoi waited 2 hours early to wait for Hotaru outside to go to school together, it seem pretty too excessive to wait that long, then we got the part where Hananoi wanted to make Hotaru belong to HIM only. like in a possessive boyfriend manner. and then we move on to where Hotaru went to Hananoi house. on the picture frame 17:15 you can noticed how the pictures were INTENTIONALLY CUT out from someone. A family photo who I assume either be Hananoi parents or "previous house owner". you can noticed how the picture cut out what seem to be a young boy from the picture frame, the boy seem to have dark skin and look pretty young based on the height. I'm not sure what happen to that kid BUT THIS IS VERY VERY CREEPY AND WEIRD. And just like Yandere Simulatior, Hananoi apparently have a "Hotaru" Shrine, Hananoi manage to stop Hotaru from peeking and warn her a little bit BUT OH HO HO A SHRINE OF A GIRL YOU LIKE??? we are already going into the Yandere levels with this one. I won't speak what happen later on at the end of the episode how Hotaru almost got "non-consent" touched too.

Episode 3 - Hananoi ends up being sick. after Hotaru walk out with her family, Hananoi called her MANY MANY times like sick yandere levels and ends up manage to found her location in the same ice rink just went Hotaru finish her sentence. Hananoi knew her birthday which shock Hotaru since she doesn't remember telling him her birthday. In the end they went on dates together during christmas and stuff, but after seeing all of this. man I wish the protagonist would stop being so dumb founded and realize her life may be in danger.

maybe that might change after seeing 12 episode for the anime or manga, but yeahh this series is like "my boyfriend is a Yandere and I didn't know lmao"

Everything about nagi no asukara is amazing! The characters in the story, and how their actions could reflect upon the world is unlike any other anime. The story will be hard to understand at first if you aren't really familiar with the meaning of love and families. the main protagonist, Hikari is an amazing character. Hikari is basically a kid who doesn't want to change, wishing for everything to still be the same, wanting every moment he had in his childhood life to be the same. but as he grew older and things starts on changing little by little, Hikari start on realizing those changes ... and tried to stop it, or accept those changes. Each of the characters have their unique personality as well, and you can find them very relatable depending on your personality test. i've rewatch it and seen it multiple times and i still love it to this day. if you are ever lost or feel helpless and doesn't understand the meaning of love, Nagi no Asukara will show you the way, and give an unforgettable feeling.
