Cross Ange seems to be an anime, that is well accepted and liked by the community. However it fails miserably, let me tell you why:
# # # What to expect # # #
Cruelity, discriminity and a rotten world
Quite decent female lead, many say she rocks
Good OST
Gundam like vehicles
Fanservice
Yuri-Fanservice
...
Almost all female cast, pleasing to the eyes, battlesuites that barely cover their skin
Wide variety of genres (Romance for example)
Unillogical stuff happens, aswell as plot holes
# # # Conclusion # # #
It´s a series about a fallen princess named „Ange“, in a rotten world. She must fight everyday to live on and she is pretty damn good at it. She doesn´t put up with every bullshit, is though, strong willed and an ace at fighting. Every inch the woman, sexy and a lead character with personality. She surely is memorable and a strong point of the show. (Alongside with the great OST)
In terms of the Story progression we have the first one or two episodes that feel a bit annoying, sometimes cruel and awkward. Then the show actually starts to become decent and enjoyable. However be prepared that around the middle the pacing will change and we will often see plot twists and weird shit going on. From that point onward you can´t really tell what´s going to happen in the next episode. Illogical stuff occurs and some things aren´t explained.
The biggest problem I have with this show, is that at a certain point it had no more clear identity. I didn´t see or get what it wants to be.
The creators tossed everything, that they thought will be appealing for the viewer, into a blender and pressed ON. The outcome is a smoothie, that tastes like everything, but you can´t really define one of the flavours exactly, nor does any of them stand out. It´s purpose is, that it´s a drink for everyone.
Imagine, you watching an episode and there´s some really cruel shit happenening, lots of blood, people dying, corpses burning. Then the next episodes you feel like you are watching an awkward slice of life romance with supposedly humoric elements. The next episode you are in a postapocalyptic, asian style like, wonderworld. And after that? Guess what, pure Michael Bay
action! Armored combat in mechas above the sea with many explosions.
Feels awkward man.
On top of that, we have illogical things happenening here and there, that don´t get explained. One of theese events even made me rage. (Almost ragequit heh!)
Oh and lots of Deus Ex Machina of course to kill every bit of tension that could build up.
I wont say it´s outright bad or horrible, but there isn´t anything great in it either.
Like I mentioned before there is identity missing.
The „jack of all trades“ mentality is bullshit. And it kills the atmosphere.
5 from me
Cheers

# # # What does the Fox say? # # #
Seriously, what´s with this name? Why the heck....
Anyways, we got hot chicks, kisses and se~x AAAaah I meant tenderness~ inside. Wanna sneak a peak?
# # # What to expect? # # #
# Hot Chicks
# Somewhat Barbie- and Ken-like feeling when looking at character designs
# Hot and wet XXX-Scenes
...
# Kisses, oooh my dear, so affectionate kisses!
# Drama
# Blossoming flowers
# Flashbacks into the past of our characters (way too much)
# Not very slice of lifer-ish, more about the characters and their relationships with each other
# Sometimes tiresome to read → found myself flipping forth and back often to understand what was going on (due to past and presence, bad translation and whatever)
Conclusion:
„What does the Fox say?“ is a lesbian romance themed, comic style, korean manhwa. Despite the weird name it´s a show about various characters, their affairs, their pasts and how they interact with each other.
Well at first I wanna say this series, no matter if you come to like or hate it, certainly does add a lot of value to the colourful world of yuri.
Since we are cursed with stuff like anime episodes that are only between 4~10mins long. Or the fact that a lot of yuri mangas are either oneshots, or damn short. We can be happy that this manhwa has a beautiful number of 93 chapters waiting to be read. And that will take some of your time. Credit for that!
I like the fact that for once it´s not a highschool themed read of adoloscent teenagers. Instead the manhwa starts with our blondie mc during her first workday at a new company.
From there we will see many things, from hot and wet sex scenes, to endearing and heartwarming kisses, to young flowers that sometimes blossom, sometimes wither.
This read does not have your typical slice of lifer-ish elements where we see our cute mc´s doing cute things. No, it´s really all about the relationships and the interactions between our characters.
I wanna add that there is still a bit of humour here and there. You will get to know the siscon couple and they are absoloutely hilarious and adorable.
What I like too is, that on one hand we get to see a very pure and affectionate kind of love and on the other hand a very toxic relationship with its lewdness and drama. It can be heartwarming and charming at times, but on the flipside very hot and erotic.
The art is beautiful and refreshing since it´s not your typical manga art and more of a comic style, however the first few chapters irritated me. I needed to get used to it. Some of the characters look way to perfect and unrealistic. Barbie and Ken is what instantly came to my mind. But all in all it looks appealing. It´s coloured and the passionately drawed sex scenes benefit a lot from it.
A big part while reading are the pasts of certain characters. The flashbacks take up a lot of pages and can be quite confusing at times. The translation isn´t the best either. Unfortunate. As a result I found myself often „flipping“ back and forth between the pages and rereading passages.
This can be tiresome and there is also a share of drama that sometimes feels uncalled for and forced, however in the long run I would say it was a good read. It didn´t score a homerun for me, but it was definitely worth my time and a good journey with ups and downs. Like a rollercoaster. I also wanna add that it left me with some food for thought after the finish and that´s always a good thing.
Well deserved 8 from me!
# # # Notes and Tipps # # #
# The translation sucks, thank you for doing it Translator-san, yet still I wished it was a little bit more professional!
# I often wondered why X did Z, maybe the translation left things out idk.
# When you read keep in mind: Black frame past, White frame present.
# Names are weird and change sometimes: sungji, or seongji, or sung-ji...
# One of the characters gets called Team Leader all the time, which is weird considering she is called like that by her lover while laying by her side, naked on a rainy sunday afternoon. Prob bad translation.
# Maybe in the korean original the meaning of team leader is something similar like when the japs say senpai or sensei to someone.

# # # Kimi no Na wa # # #
is a good movie that is highly appreciated by fans and critics worldwide. One striking factor for that are the pretty visuals and artwork. It´s really insane to see what nowadays technique is capable of. So even if you dislike the story you´ll get at least some eye candy. This brings me to my next point which is the story.
The first half is more on the funnier side before the movie carries you along and tries to hit you emotionally. Added to that are the great OST and some nice and well placed songs.
This
...
package works for some while it doesn´t for everybody.
The author achieved his goal to create a story that is accessible for everyone, yet deep enough that you can´t really grasp what´s going on at first sight. However many people claim that the plot is filled with holes and is illogical. And I have to aggree. Not everything is well executed and even if you give the plot a lot of thought, there are some things that don´t sum up.
We have to accept that it´s only a movie and the story is made up in the head of one genius. We can´t expect everything to be perfect. We are no robots. At the end of the day I would advise the viewer rather to enjoy the movie instead of trying to dissect frame by frame over analyzing everything.
For me personally I think a big weak point were the characters. They just don´t shine with personality and authentic emotions. This movie will remain in our heads for its glorious artwork, for the tricky plot, but surely not for its characters. Their faces and names will be forgotten.
However I think the harsh critique of some people is kind of undeserved. It is with no doubt a great movie to watch and highly enjoyable. Easy to understand yet highly demanding and thought-provoking.

This special snowflake disappoints. Let us take a closer look why.
# In the interrogation room: Noir #
# # # PRO # # #
# Bob Ross like backgrounds
# Strong OST
# OP was like a female japanese version of james bond, thus pretty stylish
...
# Ending was decent
# # # CON # # #
# Weird gunbattles (enemies braindead, unauthentic, unspectacular for the most part)
# Very „dark“ themend anime with lots of kills, lots of gunbattles, but no blood...
# Weak characters
# Constant flashbacks that kill the enjoyment fast
# Overuse of OST till it becomes annoying
# Overall bleak
Conclusion:
This anime is really bad and that in multiple ways.
Let´s start with good things first: The OST is very good. I like the OP, it feels like a japanese, female version of a James Bond movie and is very catchy (sure isn´t for everyone though). So the OST is generally a stronger point of the anime, however it is kind of overused. Sometimes it´s the melody of a pocket watch, sometimes choir like singing. It gets a bit annoying at some point. Fair enough to say that I marathoned it though.
Now a quick note on the backgrounds. While watching we meet a lot of places and different countries and while doing so we get served with many beautiful background pictures. Feels like Bob Ross man!
That´s about it. The rest is a bleak and tiresome journey with little value. The journey consists of little short stories that take place around the globe with our main plot being revealed slowly. The first half focuses more on the completion of tasks where the second half picks up the pace with focus on the main story.
So a big part are the gunbattles where hundreds of faceless men are killed. Therefore I wanna mention that watching it just doesn´t feel right, they are way too stupid and fail every shot. The setting is very dark, mysterious and mature, yet the producers censored this show (No blood). First I think this is a very bad choice designwise, second it adds to the already pretty dumb gunfights making them look even more weird. See where I am getting at? Take a 2017 action blockbuster. You go into the cinema knowing that the plot is bad, but at least you get eye candy in form of special effects and decent fights.
The characters are weak aswell. They have little life and personality, add lack of conversations and the situation becomes disadvantegeous. We have one character who is amnesiac and emotionless. That´s okay, but what about her companion? Where are the emotions? Where is the anger, the sadness, the passion, everything? Noir tries to show instead to tell. For me it didn´t click.
This brings me to my last point. The biggest turn off since episode two were the incredible amounts of flashbacks. I always thought every second of screentime is worth of gold. I always thought producers have the problem of bringing the plot meaningful to screen without ever wasting time. Noir is the complete opposite. They tried to buy time whenever they could. I was thinking of dropping this series more than once. Dear producers, are you assuming most of us viewers are cursed with alzheimer?
I rate this show with a 5. The beautiful backgrounds and OST work for me. Unfortunately the rest does not.
Noir I´m sorry, we´re not becoming friends.

You know it has been a good one when it leaves you behind with a confused feeling after the finish.
El Cazador de la Bruja, it has been a blast. (The name itself is very catchy)
Here I was sitting, resentful and sad that it´s already over. Let me tell you why:
# # # PRO # # #
# A story about traveling and the people that you meet along the way
# Authentic, impressive and bad ass characters
...
# Great and fitting episodic narrative
# Love and friendship factor
# Soundscape + OST
# The whole vibe of this series is just amazing and pretty damn cool
# # # CON # # #
# Designwise good, but art looks very outdated
# Parts of the frame story and characters not well concluded
# Episodic storytelling isn´t for everyone
# Some people find there is a lack of plot and/or slow plot progression
Conclusion:
This anime did hit my tastes perfectly through and through. So what is it about you might ask.
First and foremost: It´s a journey. A journey of our unlike pair of protagonists in a mexico inspired landscape heading south.
There is a framework-story, but my personal opinion is, that it´s just the frame. The real story is the journey itself and the people that they meet on their way. I believe this is what the author wants to tell us.
The narration is an episodic one. Let me tell you this much. The two protagonists Nadie, a woman I´d fall for in a second, if I were to meet her in real life, and Ellis, a child like teen with amnesia, end up together. Nadie takes Ellis into her custody and they both head towards their goal which is somewhere south. So basically even though there is a frame story the majority of the plot is their travel. Now we see why an episodic narration makes sense. Almost every episode is a short story about different people they meet along their journey. It´s simple yet effective.
I believe this anime is highly enjoyable because of the complete vibe it has. I won´t say it´s unique, but in a world where every anime setting is centered around teens during highschool this is a welcomed variety.
This ~vibe~ I am talking about could be described as a mixture of a dirty old wild western classic and other different subcomponents. Namely: Narration, Soundscape, Characters, Affection and Love.
We already talked about the narration. Next up:
# Soundscape #
The OST aswell as the OP and ED work well and could be from some old western movie. Paired with our characters whom happen to be bountyhunters, killers and the mexican scenery. You see where this is going.
# Characters #
They are highly enjoyable, even the antagonists. What I liked a lot was the portayal of the male and female gender. By that I mean we have characters that are in their respective core of their gender.
They feel authentic aswell as likeable.
You will get to know Ricardo, every inch the man, quiet and by no means a macho. Very caring about his young companion. Certainly not someone that you want to accidently spill your drink over late night in a bar.
On the flipside Nadie is a deadly marksman, who doesn´t put up with every bullshit she gets confronted with, yet still. She is as caring, as loving and as supporting as she can be. What a woman!
# Affection and Love #
Not much to say here since I wont spoiler. But hey think about it. You travel together and with it comes the hardships and fun moments. So it´s only natural that a strong bond and dependence on another blossoms.
If we toss all those subcomponents together what do we get out of it?
Above all the story is one thing:

I wanna introduce you to a good old friend of mine. Despite being damn ass slow with updates and translations he has a special place in my heart.
Forever.
# # # Tamen De Gushi or SQ: Beginn w/ your name # # #
Some facts about the Series:
# It´s fun, cute, relaxing
# Very pure and slow evolving relationship
# No BS like forced drama, unrequited love and triangles
# Very adorable characters (Mophead, I´m thinking of you)
...
# Unfortunately short chapters, mostly ~10 pages
# You will read through it pretty damn fast
# It´s not yet finished, hopefully it will soon with faster updates
# One of my favs because it does everything right
# Simple yet effective, that´s where its strength lay
Conclusion:
This series is a Manhua about Sun Jing and Qui Tong. Sounds funny right? I thought the same. As always I was on the lookout for heartwarming, relaxing and healing Yuri lovestories and oh boy, what gem had I found when I stumbled across this one.
At first glance I was super sceptic, because the art looks weird. It´s not your classical japanese manga style art. It´s more of a comic approach and colored. However let me tell you, after I read a few chapters I came to love the art. It is very appealing and expressive. Most of all it feels fresh. The colours and blushing faces will make your day brighter.
So what is this Manhua about? Well mainly about giving YOU the reader all the positive emotions that you seek when picking up a series like this.
What are you speaking of Kokosnuss?
Look, reading this will calm you down. It will leave you with a sweet and satisfied feeling in your tummy.
No matter what stresses you have gone through at work, you read a few chapters of this and it will leave a smile on your face.
Besides that it can reduce your blood pressure. Your acne might go away, it even cures cancer.
Jk
If I were to criticize this series, then I would say the slow updates are super annoying. One could also argue that there is no plot, or that there is no character depth what so ever. I would say NO.
This manhua strives to be easy on the reader and to make you feel good. That´s really all that there is about.
And it´s being super effective at it, point.
10/10 from me
Cheers

On my mission to save humanity from a world full of betrayal, hate and despair I must continue my search for mankinds last hopes.
This time in the interrogation room:
# # # CASE : Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san # # #
It´s a very fast paced comedy show with a dozen of episodes, which are only 3-4 minutes long. It´s supposedly romantic aswell, but in reality all you see is a hyperactive and extrovert doglike mc jumping around like crazy whenever she meets a new girl.
Design wise I found the not so original idea of the animal theme still appealing and the character art
...
was beautiful too.
The female catlike mc Nekoyama is someone worth mentioning, she looks incredible cute. Mainly due to her hairstyle.
In the very first episode we have our main pair, one is catlike and loves dogs and the other vice versa, introduced to us. It looks like they fall in love from the start and things are getting a little lewd aswell, seemed promising was what I thought. What followed was unfortunately a disappointment. Our doglike mc´s loveinterests were everything that had boobs and two legs, the pacing was incredible fast, the jokes weren´t all that funny. So as a result: Even though you can watch the complete show in 30 minutes it became tiring for me.
I wanna add that the doglike mc Inugami reminded me off Kyouko from Yuru-Yuri, but in a bad way. Like a cheap, unoriginal rip off. Maybe it´s just my impression, but that´s how I see it.
All in all it´s a diverting sidedish at most that can be eaten for fast entertainment with not much to offer in terms of taste.
Could be worth watching...
...if you have an weird animal fetish
...if you saw a picture of Nekoyama and thought: „so cute!“
...If you seek a quick fix of cuteness and humor
...if you like yuri
...if you wanna watch something lighthearted
...if you like the pervy female dog like creature
Things you could dislike...
...the fast pace
...the short episodes
...the missing plot and developement that comes with it
...the pervy female dog like creature (← this is me)
...the feeling that it´s unoriginal and a ripoff from other shows

CASE: Ore Monogatari!!
### as shoujo as it can get # # #
+++ PRO +++
#Heartwarming
#Easy story
#Fluttery feelings
#Fun
...
#Relaxing
#Drama free zone
#Somewhat unordinary romance
#Beautiful art with flowers, bubbles and lots of colours
- - - CON - - -
#Plain characters
#Character development kind off lacking
#Lots of episodes yet nothing seems to happen in terms of character, plot and relationship development
#Female lead was one of the worse characters
#Starts well but falls off
Conclusion:
First off I may add that this show is as shoujo as it can get. Bubbles, colours and flowers everywhere. Yay !!!
My first impression after 2-3 episodes was: „Wow this is truly great. It feels different and I like the characters a lot!“
What started out as a simple yet charming and heartwarming love story caught my interest pretty damn fast and gave me fluttery feelings, aswell as happiness and a good dose of laughter. But beware.
You may get the impression that this is something else, however after many episodes you will notice how generic and cliche it really is. It´s in no regard something special.
Since this series is on the longer end the simplicity and plainness got to much for me. I like slice of life, but I have to admit that it became a little bit boring and repetitiv. What´s lacking is more depth in our characters as well as some good developement.
I understand, that´s not what this anime is trying to be. Here I would advice the viewer to take it bite by bite like a delicious pastry from a famous cook. You wouldn´t swallow that in one take right? That´s probably the approach we have to take in this anime, to counter the simplicity and to enjoy the positive aspects of the show to their fullest potential. These aspects like charm and humour make it great. It´s a very positive vibe throughout the show.
Furthermore I really wish we would have seen more development in the romantic relationship. They are so head over heels right from the start, yet too pure and innocent. A few more kisses and hugs here and there wouldn´t have hurt anyone. That`s the spirit.
Alright Kokosnuss, enough stories about pastries and famous cooks. Tell me who is it for?
Well I´d say for...
+ Shoujo lovers
+ Romance lovers
+ If you got bored from standard romance shit
+ If you prefer seeing a harmonic couple rather than some ntr, forced drama and unrequited love BS
+ If you like pastries
+ If you are ready for our bear like, 2 meters tall, fat lipped, deep voiced male mc and his cute, little, doll like, pastry baking, charming girlfriend
And not so much...
- if you can´t take the huge amount of sweetnes (if you already have diabetes take care, you might not surive)
-If you wish for a more demanding story
(yes this one is sweet, but it could be too boring for some)
- if you dislike bear or gorilla like male mc´s and prefer the slender female looking, glass wearing, pale and whiney ass generic one that the anime gods have cursed us with.
(God bless, we truly live in dark ages nowadays)

All girls, cute art. I take that.
Let us look together what we find inside of the package.
+++ PRO +++
#Cute girls and design
#Lighthearted, easy to watch
#Ecchi (Although I´d prefered it wasn´t that much)
#Relaxing
#Has some good doses of humor in it (Military sisters, Im thinking of you)
...
#Affection between characters and pairs is really heartwarming
--- CON ---
#Story felt rush
#Few more ep´s would have definetly helped story and character developement
#Kinda predictable
#Weird double harem scenario
#Ecchi is not fitting for this show IMO
#Ecchi censoring is horrible in this one
#Rumors say even blue ray is censored (Wtf)
#Just cut out the creepy ecchi shit and give us a heartwarming relaxing anime instead
#Moe´ness of one character in general annoyed the shit out of me
Conclusion:
I kind of liked watching this anime.
On my mission to look for the most relaxing and cute animes, to save world from melancholy and despair, I stumbled across this canidate.
And yes, I can reassure you, this one doesn´t disappoint.
Well at least for the most part.
The first two episodes weren´t all that special and rather boring, but after some time it still caught my interest. Mostly because of the very adorable intercourse and affection of the characters, who make the most part of this anime.
We need to talk about bathhouse scenes and F1 car sounds.
I mean, cute girls, anime, bathhouse, ecchi, well I guess theese things somehow connect. But when we spent half of an episode in a bathhouse with lightning cutting the screen to save the waifus from our lustful looks it becomes tiring. Not because we wanna see nipples, but rather because it´s just not nice to look at given the amount of time we have to. The biggest joke is that rumors say even the Blu ray version is censored. Well RIP.
One thing comes my mind. Why so much nudity then? The show is cute and adorable in itself. No need for that creepy ass shit. Cut it out. It´s uncalled for.
Next case: We have a girl, she appears already in the very first minutes, who is specialized in flying fast, it´s her fighting style. While that in itself is okay, everytime she crosses the screen we hear a sound like a F1 car or a hayabusa. The first time I had to cringe, eventually I truly had to ask myself what the sounddesigners had in mind. Fucking horrible.
When it comes to the plot, I would say it was rushed. The focus lense is so much on the characters, their pasts and their relationships, that I miss some info about their enemies and universe. There are 5 different worlds. Unfortunately we dont get to know or explore much of them. This is definitely potential wasted. Furthermore it´s kind of a „double harem“ layout, which I found to be weird. All in all I would say the story becomes a little bit repetive and way to predictable throughout the watch.
Tell me Kokosnuss is this show for me?
+ If you like cute girls and moe
+ If you enjoy girls only
+ If you look for light entertainment
+ If you like shoujo ai
- If you demand deep characters and story
- If you are homophobiac
- If you´d be annoyed by the infinite amount of bathhouse scenes
- Moe could be too much for you

All girls, sexy art, count me in is what I thought.
Was looking for some nice "all girls" action, had to leave disappointed.
Let me tell you why.
Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai
Review
+++ PRO +++
#Character designs are very sexy
#Lots of ecchi (if you like that)
...
#Artwork wasn´t that bad
- - - CON - - -
#Nothing noteworthy besides of horrendous amounts of ecchi
#Didnt get what the anime was trying to be. At times felt like anime parody, other times tried to hard to be serious/emotionally.
#Starts fine but you lose interest rather fast
#Infinite Deus ex machina
#Yes it has lots of nudity, but eventually you become accustomed to it and the rest of the show has nothing to offer so…
Conclusion:
This will definetly be a show that I wont remember for long. Always on the lookout for nice yuri I saw this show and immediatly gave it a try. I am a fan of sexy and appealing art and at first glance this seemed promising. And hey, the first episode wasn´t even that bad, but what followed didn´t have much to offer.
At times I even thought that I am watching a parody. Some episodes do have a certain theme. So without further spoilering just to give you an example one episode was about music and idols, another ep. about games.
Well I can live with that, because we also have to take in account that this show provides you with ecchi and nudity all the time. But then again there are scenes where the anime is trying way to hard to be emotional and serious and that didn´t click for me.
I didn´t like the female lead much. She was a lil bit of a badass, but not very feminine. You could have swapped her with a male mc and it wouldn´t have made any difference I guess.
I didn´t understand what this show wants to be. IMO it´s just plain bad and boring. And that one phenomen that people call "Deus Ex Machina", it happend A LOT.
If you´re here for ecchi only, that´s okay, but I bet there are better shows with greater value.
+++ So then tell me Kokosnuss who would you recommend this for? +++
#Well if you look more for a visual appeal than an actual story. (-> fapshow, character designs are pretty good)
#If you like all girl shows (<- This is me. Cuz fuck those whiney ass male mcs)
- - - I would not recommend this to you if you look for yuri - - -
#Yes it has affection between characters, yet it´s not about romance.
