This, by no means was a good anime and the only reasons keeping it that way is the lack of or complete lack of emphasis on the importance of plot and character development. I don’t feel like this is a bad anime either, the visuals and sound plus many others things shows that the studio actually puts an effort into this anime.

Story: 5/10
Ok, how do I even begin? This is a 12 episodes anime which in today’s anime industry isn’t very long. And how did they manage the use of those precious times? By adding filler like episodes that serves no purpose at plot and ... characters development but solely for shits and giggles. The studio would’ve like to think that the extra irrelevant stories are for the audience and the character itself to grew attached to each other. But no, as far as I see the overused comedic effects does not helped and all this wasted times could’ve being used to explain more important matters such as more expansive details on character’s background.

Art and Sound: 8/10
When it goes with the art and sound, this anime is by far the best I’ve ever seen. The use of lighting adds on the mood and suits the situation. In addition the soundtrack that was used also adds on either a relax and happy feeling or a sense of danger and urgency. The studio’s attention to details are also noted on each of the characters, making them diverse and easy to identify with their personality clearing printed on their looks. I absolutely love how versatile the character was when their emotion changes. Like Akihito’s mother, both her serious and goofy side reflects well on her face despite them being miles apart.

Characters: 6/10
Despite the appearance of the character is being given extra attention. The development of each is being completely ignored. From the beginning to the end, each and everyone of main and side character experience zero to no dynamic changes and the only one I could think of is Mirai’s acceptance to her grief and despair of killing her best friend. Other than that the characters feels one sided and their personalities are being made from a mold; the movie did a much better job.

Enjoyment: 8/10
I’ve be lying if I said I didn’t had a good time watching this anime. Despite majority of the story being wasted on non plot important content. Those moments are absolutely the cutest and desirable for people to enjoy. It’s safe to say the the movie delve in more on the side that is lacking in the series, but also loses the essential part that is slice of life.

Overall: 7/10
I would’ve recommend this anime to you if you like SAO where the archetype is essentially the same. If you are also looking in for the best waifu material, mirai is definitely the go to choice for you.

Hey! Studio clown messed up another anime, what a surprise! Ok, you already know what I am gonna say about this anime, it’s more of a rant than an actual review

Story: 2/10
Honestly, how do you mess up a already clichic shounen and make it even worse? By cutting out a bunch of plot important villains of course! And add in a some random dungeon bosses that serves no purpose at all but just for shits and giggles. This is by far the worst plot line I’ve ever seen in myentire life, the ending and the intro totally contradicts it self and leaves the viewer ... in a total wtf state and the sole purpose of the main character that is to make a god baby have literally been given up.

Art: 3/10
For a person who thinks the absurd neck length of code geass was actually pretty good. This anime’s art is absolutely, totally disgusting. Every goddamn character looks like they had a failed plastic surgery having the exact same eyes and some even with a stretched face that could double as a chopping board. The bright color of the character and the dark black ground also don’t blend in with the whole style of the anime. And not to mention those destroyed city background takes up 40% of the entire anime!

Sound: 5/10
Last time I checked the story it is about an ancient society that battles monsters in the modern world. So the genuine of the music should be a blend of traditional and modern; which the third op did a incredible job. But no, they blast you with disgusting electric music that is the same throughout out the story.

Characters: 1/10
Whoever made this story adviously needs to be fired. The only character development they believe in is a tragic life and some op superpower that would top everything else. Hey what’s even better? Oh Yeah ! A love triangle and a moment where the mc's life was endangered. Guess what anime also uses that? All other shounens, and twin stars exorcist still manage to mess it up b erasing everything they build up with comedic effects.

Enjoyment: 2/10
The running animation gave me a good laugh, so 1 extra points.

Overall: 3/10
So, is twin star exorcist the worst of all time? Na, at least they tried, but I would strongly advise that nobody watches this horrible pieces of garbage. Take your time at some better anime’s such as my hero academia instead.

Violet Evergarden looks like and feels like a decent anime but with serious drawbacks with its plot

Problems I had is the lack of character development it had with some more important characters, it instead dedicated it's time at developing miner characters that has no plot importance and leaving out many things that made the source material good.

The lack of emotional feel I had after watching each episode is due to the predictable ending and the show desperately trying to make you cry. I know they have done a decent job at this but I have read similar stories with the exact ending depicted in VE.

The ... original light novel gives a good conclusion to everything has happened and the confrontation with the captain just make the ending even better. It gives incredible insight to the character of major's brother and erased any thought of a sequel. Instead of following the same storyline, the anime version seriously wanted to milk it by creating a beautiful yet shallow story so it could have a sequel.

I have nothing against the studio, it did an incredible job with the art and the music. But in exchange for the beautiful art and story, the plot is severely dumb down keeping the anime to a decent instead of a masterpiece.
