If you do not wish to read all of this banter, just skip to the very last paragraph for a simpler review of this anime.
Well this anime was quite a boring adventure. I had quite high hopes for it because it seemed like it would be all cute and happy, but in the end all I got was an anime with close to no plot and chaotic boringness.
Story [5]:
If you asked me what the story was about, I would have no idea how to explain. The plot was so chaotic and only at the last episode did I understand a TINY bit what I had
...
just witnessed. It was absolute nonsense. At the very beginning I felt that there was some idea the authors had, then they just came up with stuff as it progressed and later on just tried to mash some kind of conclusion. And so, Comet Lucifer was born.
Art [4]:
The animation and art seemed really, really simple. I felt like there wasn't much effort put in, only maybe at the parts where giant mechas were fighting, other than that it was plain and boring even though it did seem very colorful at times.
Sound [3]:
There is absolutely nothing memorable from the soundtracks. Just nothing. At least it somewhat did it's job to make the mood right, but even so.
Character [5]:
Very plain and cliche. We have the same boring protagonist who ends up in a love triangle with a very cliche tsundere. All of the focus was on Felia it felt like the other characters were completely neglected. They were THERE, but accomplished NOTHING. This is what ticked me off quite a bit, because some characters had potential and I liked them a bit, but they ended up meeting a tragic end or just got completely neglected. Thanks a lot.
Enjoyment [4]:
I felt like I was forcing myself to watch this. In the middle I just put this on as some background noise while I was doing other things, but at the last 2 episodes I managed to force myself to finish it. It's not enjoyable at all, it's completely boring. Okay, maybe at some points it was A BIT entertaining to watch, which is why I gave this a 4 instead of a 1, but those few moments do not make up for the absolute crap this show is.
Overall [5]:
Comet Lucifer is one of those boring anime's that you THINK would be good, but in the end it isn't. It's very cliche and a perfect example of a messed up plot. Everything can be predicted, which is why the plot twists the anime TRIED to make were failures. If you wish to give this a try, I suggest you don't. It's simply a waste of your time and you should just watch something worthwhile. Something that doesn't sully the 'mecha' genre, like Bokurano or Code Geass.

Makura no Danshi AKA 'Lonely Otaku's Looking For Men' (guilty as charged)
But no, in all seriousness this is one of those anime's you want to watch just to relax and enjoy the characters. (because fan service) It is also a very peculiar anime in a way, because throughout the anime there is no sound. Only the guy talking. The opening, naturally has a song and everything, but when it comes to actual sound during the episodes, there is none. It's very weird, but at the same time makes you want to focus on the voice talking more. The art, however, is not as good in
...
my opinion.. It's quite simple is all.
To kind of sum it all up: Makura no Danshi is an anime where you can enjoy 4 minutes of a guy who is 100% your type and awaken your inner fangirl for a short moment.
Now I will have to disappoint you otaku's, only a few episodes actually take place in a bed with the guys shirtless :( Such a disappointment.
Still a 100% husbando anime.

Charlotte is the typical kind of anime that starts off very unique, but then the second half of the anime slowly plunders to something very cheesy and typical. I was keeping a look on the rating as this anime aired and it did indeed go up until about episode 7, but then it started to slowly go down.
Story - 9
The plot of Charlotte is the one thing that made the anime unique. A story about child-teen ability-wielders and their life. It was definitely interesting to watch what kind of ability would be discovered the next episode and how it would be used. Later on,
...
however, it revealed that the story had many plotholes. It almost felt like the writers were focusing on pressuring the feelings of the viewers instead of explaining many missing things. At around that point Charlotte started to really go down.
Art - 8
If I was to give an example, I would say Charlotte has the highly upgraded Clannad art, or the style is similar to Glasslip. In any case it was quite gorgeous. The opening especially is one of my favorite openings because of how well-done the animation is. Sure at times the art seemed very simple, but at the same time it didn't really bother me too much. It still looked good and that's all that matters.
Sound - 10
Okay, now ZHIEND is like the best thing of this show. Everything else you could hear was good too, but ZHIEND. That group was also one of the good things about this show, I'm just sad they couldn't be mentioned a bit more near the end of the anime, but other than that I'm probably going to get some of their songs on my phone because they're just that stunning.
In any case, the music was a key point for this anime. At the perfect times it would come in with the glorious melodies that made your feelings swoon, and that's the kind of thing you definitely need in an anime.
Character - 7
THIS is the point where the anime started to crumble down. (Here comes the ultimate rant) Now let's start from the beginning. At the start we have a cool character who seems like he doesn't listen to anyone, a typical Lelouch, but at the end he transformed into a very cheesy and I will dare say cowardly person. " But Kitty, did you not see what he accomplished at the last episode and blah, blah. " Yes, but was his accomplishment even satisfying enough? It was so rushed in the first place and his personality had already taken a huge turn before and then he suddenly finds himself the predicament he was in at the very end. It just seemed so cheesy and sad to ruin a character who had potential in the beginning.
Now for the girl. To be honest I did like her a bit, but I feel like the writers tried to focus on making her the 'potential love interest' that they ruined her personality along the way as well. Or they just abused her all the time (I see you episode 11).
Honestly this anime had one of the best characters ever, but some were quickly forgotten about and not even put in some episodes which ticked me off a bit. What's the point in 'Main characters' if you don't plan to show their side of the story or put them in just to 'make fans have feels and then forget about them'. So many amazing characters simply wasted.
Enjoyment - 7
Now in total, did I enjoy this anime? Well, it was alright. In the end I can't say Charlotte was absolute garbage, but... It was close to the border of that, let's be honest. They just barely managed to 'save' it.
It was very rushed. If for the first 6 episodes they took their sweet time then for the last few they rushed it faster than a cat running away from a dog. A second season to focus on the idea Yuu had at the end of episode 12 would have been much more favorable, but alas, I don't know how it all goes in the anime industry. These are just my thoughts.

Most likely one of the best 3-minute anime you will ever lay your eyes upon. It only takes 36 minutes to finish this and it's very well worth it.
Not only is this anime one of many comedy masterpieces I have ever seen, it also addresses problems such as anxiety, addiction to smoking/drinking and many more. I didn't expect to see these kind of attributes in it, but I can't say it ruined the anime since it didn't.
If we focus on the comedy side, this anime has many jokes and references that would warm any otaku's heart with joy, simply because we can all relate to
...
the husband of this anime... Not only that but it has a gay brother who looks like a girl and quirky parents, the characters are amazing in this anime. Simply amazing. I could almost say the characters in this anime are better than most people i know in real life. (Yes, I said it.)
As the wise husband of a slice of life anime once said: '' A SLICE OF LIFE SERIES IS LIKE AN OASIS FOR ME SINCE I DON'T HAVE ANY FRIENDS ''.
Amen.

We’re all afraid, you know.. to get up on stage. Maybe you’ll mess up. Maybe they’ll totally reject you. Even so, you grit your teeth and get up on stage anyway. Something compels us… moves us to play music.
...
-Kaori Myazono
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso is an anime that at first everyone would have thought it was a romance comedy anime, only to later reveal the true tragic nature of the anime. Unlike many music genred anime, it's not about practicing and improving to play further, but it's about healing and learning to be able to move on. It adresses important issues such as child abuse, ilnesses and other issues.
Story [9]
As mentioned above, the story mostly focuses on the ability to learn to get over your fears or the ability to move on from the past and focus on the future. Of course the anime has it's adorable and quirky moments as well. The story was very well paced. There wasn't really a moment where anything was lagging behind or moving too quickly. It would various times bring up the past of the characters or adress their problems more clearly, highlighting just that this anime is not all about playing the piano.
Art&Sound [10]
The art and sound was the special thing about this anime. Not only are the colors vivid and the animation smooth and beautiful, the music was all about classical music. Now I'm not that big of a classical music fan, but after hearing Chopin and Chaikovsky again, it really made me miss the music school I go to. I think many will agree, that this anime made them love classical music, at least to some extent.
Characters [10]
The characters in this anime are so outstanding I don't even know if I can find a flaw. None of the characters stayed gray. The characters back stories, their insecurities and their goals were all addressed. Not only that, but almost all of these characters were lovable! (I say almost, because there are some characters that wouldn't have been so liked because of their nature)
Enjoyment&Overall [10]
Now to sum it all up, this anime is definitely something everyone should watch. It's an emotional roller coaster full of joy, sorrow, happiness and sadness that many would enjoy. Because of the gorgeous art, sound and characters that are the key factors for this anime, there's no wonder it had such a high ranking. And a high score from me.

I would say the name 'Glasslip' definitely is the perfect name. What? No I don't mean that because the main character dreams of becoming a glass artisan! I mean that this anime is like glass: pretty but with nothing in it. This is the perfect description for an anime with gorgeous art and no story.
To this day I don't think this anime came to any conclusion at all. It was going SOMEWHERE at SOME POINT, but just like glass the plot broke and became worthless.
" But Kitty, there must have been SOMETHING in that anime, it's 13 episodes after all! "
Aha! But you see these
...
13 episodes were about small and useless conflicts. It's like: This guy was bothered by something and he spent the whole episode talking to 7 different him's inside his head before finally coming to the conclusion that he realized nothing anyway. There was definitely some hint of romance between characters, but as I mentioned before, NOTHING happened. There was no progress in ANYTHING.
I wouldn't say the characters were horrendous, but they weren't special either. Every episode was like watching someone in real life talking with his/her friends, just in anime form. Because nothing happened in this show there was obviously no character development. However, i must say I definitely enjoyed Jonathan. He knew what was up. (For those who haven't seen the show, Jonathan is a chicken who lives in the school courtyard)
Even in this horribly boring anime I found a few things that were enjoyable: the art and music. The art itself was very gorgeous, even if there was nothing special about the animation it was still pleasing to the eye. The sound gave off a relaxing mood, being classical music and all. Very calm and soothing, something you could listen to while drawing.
Now the thing is, did I enjoy it? Heck no! I was expecting more from this since the producers are known for anime's such as Hyouka, Angel Beats, Another and many more, so I had high hopes for this! Boy, was I disappointed. All I got for my excitement was 13 episodes of no story and random chickens. (God bless Jonathan)

I'll be completely frank, this anime is utterly boring. I watched the whole thing again after it was complete, thinking, that maybe I'll find something interesting about it. But nothing.
I was almost glad it was only 2 minutes an episode, that's how bad it was.
There is pretty much no story here.
The art is simple and animation is basic, nothing interesting about it at all.
The characters are completely plain. There was no character development, basically everything stayed the same the whole show.
The sound was close to alright, it was calming and set the mood right but that doesn't make up for the anime at all.
...
Overall it's a 3. I didn't enjoy it at all and I'm pretty sure many wouldn't either. It has nothing special about it and nothing interesting happened at all. Just a waste of 24 minutes.
If you want to watch short anime I would recommend Orenchi no Furo Jijou or even Ai Mai Mi!, at least THOSE are interesting shows. (Guys, even Pupa was more fun to watch than this. FREAKING PUPA!)

Owari no Seraph was definitely one of the most hyped up anime this season, but it does have a reason to be like that. This is my own opinion, but I found this series very fun and exciting.
[Story - 7]
Now I admit the idea isn't... Creative. Boy seeking revenge for his family against vampires, sounds similar to Shingeki no Kyojin, no?(except it's titans) Hey, what can you do. As long as it's still enjoyable it's not that horrible. The thing that made this anime enjoyable was the anticipation of how things will unfold in the end. Will it go horribly or smoothly? That's the reason
...
many enjoyed this series.
[Art - 8]
The art wasn't extravagant, but I believe it didn't need to be anything special. It was smooth and pleasing to the eye. Not much to say there.
[Sound - 9]
Now the opening was something I enjoyed A LOT. The opening itself gave the anime a huge hype, the song just makes you all pumped up and want to sing along!(Also can we just talk about the freaking Universal logo thing at the beginning of each episode?) Now for the rest of the anime, I believe, that the sound played quite a large role. It got you pumped up when something was about to happen and also made you tear up at times because of something horrible happening. This is what music in anime is supposed to do, pull on your heart strings. And so, I myself think that the sound in Owari no Seraph did indeed have that. Of course it wasn't so good as to give a 10, that's reserved for Clannad.
[Character - 9]
I loved the characters in this. They were all unique in their own way and I can't say I hated any of them (Except maybe Shinoa because gurl, know when to stop). They all had their views and I'm glad we got decent backstory on at least Yuu's friends. I'll expect to find out more from Guren next season because he's the one I'm interested in the most, and maybe we'll even get some backstory from the other generals as well.
[Enjoyment - 10]
Now I, for one, found this anime extremely enjoyable. Sure it's not perfect, it has it's flaws but those flaws didn't affect the enjoyment, which is good. Every week I was pumped up to watch the new episode and see what happens next, it made me cry and also happy and too excited than I should have been lol. Anticipation for the next episode is already a sign that the anime is going to be good.
[Overall - 9]
Now I would definitely suggest someone to watch this anime. If you like shounen/vampire anime then this definitely is for you. For me the first episode already got me, but if the first episode isn't convincing then watch the first three. The first three should be enough for you to decide whether to continue watching it or not.

Oh Pupa... You didn't even try...
I honestly wanted to watch this because I thought it would be something like Ai Mai Mi!, by that I mean short but still pretty good. Except this was horror so I wasn't sure if that would work after all. It definitely gave off the Higurashi vibe at some point, but just... Okay I found this anime ridiculous.
I couldn't stop laughing at it, it was just so... So horrible. I don't think there even was a story here, it feels like the only reason it exists is for the brother-sister close bond in a VERY GORE way. The only reason
...
I actually continued watching this because the opening was stuck in my head...
You know what, there's not much to say. The art was normal but the rest was just bleh.
Recommend this to people you don't want to be friends with anymore.
