There are few rare anime series which have a consistency of delivering top notch quality throughout consecutive seasons and even few who can take it up to another level. Chihayafuru is one of those.
The 3rd season of this amazing series has just been so amazing that i am sure that all the older and new fans were hooked onto it with the utmost interest and awe. Madhouse has just outdone themselves again and its not just a regular praise, it comes from a heart of a fan
who has read the manga and seen the adaptation with such finesse and quality it actually makes me happy
...
to be a anime fan especially for this show.
This underrated show has been like the one of the most beautiful gems of the fall season, that i cant appreciate and praise it enough.
The story continues with our trio with their journey of Karuta. The unique aspect of this show which is karuta is that even though its based on a card game,
its unlike other card based shows which captivates the viewers with just the hype, or through unbelievable power ups of characters in a battle or some unreal logic, but through
realistic game plays which is portrayed through the playstyle of the players, their background story, personality, how they view & perceive karuta through their minds and most importantly how karuta is presented through these beautiful traditional japanese poems which have depth in their storytelling of folklore and depicts what these stories are
trying to convey with their words and poetry which will leave you mesmerized. Absolute breathtaking stuff.
The main trio are great characters with their own stories and development. One of the element which i found missing in the first two seasons was one of the trio i.e Arata Wataya not getting enough screen time for the viewers to watch and understand his character more in depth, but this season it was quite well resolved which made me satisfied. Also there was major development with the other male character Taichi Mashima and his transformation, which had
been quite a sight to watch. As for our female MC Chihaya Ayase, she continues through various developments regarding her future in general life and the game which is her most important passion i.e Karuta.
I am actually quite happy to see the three progressing with the story line which perfectly paced and enjoyable to watch.
But another main factor is that makes chihayafuru so special is that it not only focuses on the main trio but also on the supporting side characters as well, depicting their journey so far with their personal development & background story in relation
to the game. Also one of the interesting things that caught my eye this season is how they explore the character background in depth of the new challengers, major professional players and even more importantly the Master and queen (The reigning champions)
whom had been shown as mystery figures on the surface so far in season 1 & 2 and since our
main characters ultimate goal is to win the title from them, it was actually unique seeing things from the perspective of the opposite side.
The narration has been so on point and it actually never fails to keep you interested.Every tiny detail, every tiny scene, flashback or sequence makes up for the bigger picture in the present & for future scenarios. Almost every character is portrayed developing
in the most humane way and the changes make them more sensibly compatible for the plot. Especially the trio who inspite keeping their original self, develop necessary changes which make bigger impacts for their personal story and with the main story as well.
Coming to animation and sound, Boy i cant praise mad house enough,Not a single episode from these 24 episodes have gone by and i have been like "Meh that was ok i guess" and i am not exaggerating. Every episode has been adapted so gracefully with attention to details from the
source material. The beautiful art and colors, fluid life like animation, brilliant character designs and visuals. Even when a important scene happens or emotions are being depicted, it literally comes to life that viewers can actually feel them with their eyes, its
that mindblowing. The sound is so pure and crystal clear with the amazing performance of all the VA's of different character make it even more enticing and enjoyable. The OP and ED are equally well made, especially the ED with the artwork and the music from Band harassment made it my favorite.
Overall as its one my personal favorite series i would easily give it a 10/10. Its underrated as hell and i would love that other anime fans would give this masterpiece a chance especially if they enjoy a mix of competitive sport,Japanese culture and a amazing story with brilliant characters.
I know my review might seem i am over selling this, but trust me please do give this a try, it will definitely be worth your time and i am positive you would appreciate this amazing piece of work and the content it tries to share with its viewers.
I just want this beautiful series to be recognized and appreciated more for its value it truly deserves.

First of all before giving a review. To the people who are planning to watch, are currently watching or dropped it halfway.
Please for the love of anime, be very patient with this series, because its really worth it
Boogiepop is adapted from the novel/manga and not original like the 2000 boogiepop series)
Its a psychological,Horror series which is shrouded in mystery and revolves around a enigmatic supernatural entity known as boogiepop,
which possesses one of our MC's miyashita touka.Boogiepop though rumored to target and murder people in a really mysterious way is actually
is a guardian who awakens and manifests itself when the world is in danger or an enemy appears, enemy
...
that is in the eyes of Boogiepop.
The reason being this series can slow paced and confusing at times, you will be like "What just happened, who's this, what does that even mean",
but that's the beauty of this series, its like a beautiful puzzle which viewers cannot envision at first but when it comes together, that to when
it does it comes in a amazing fast paced manner,it just hits and blows your mind over literally.
This show focuses on theme and meaning of humanity in various spectrum. From the beautiful, mysterious side of humans to the dark and disgusting side.
It has different arcs which starts with random scenes and characters on which light is shed much later which mostly revealed to be related to a new enemy
and threat which is constantly at play at a psychological degree which begins at a personal level, slowing growing to social and global scale, through various
mediums including unfathomable chain reactions of character interaction and conversations.
Each different arc every time has a majority of new characters with some of the original main cast constantly involved. But the best part is each time when a new character enters with a new arc, almost every single one of them has a interesting personality, character
and a decent backstory, which makes it more intriguing to watch & keeps the viewers attention hooked.
Also the characters are not only backed up by their words about who they are but by actions too, and i am talking about really good and surprising fighting and action choreography,
which for a psychological horror animes was really a feast for my eyes.
There are really good badass characters in this show, one of favorites would be Nagi, one of the main cast. Her character, with her backstory and development really caught my eye and made
her one of the most interesting characters.
One of the best parts which i myself personally find is even though the series revolves around, boogiepop makes the least appearance, while the other characters play out their part
in the episodes and the arc in a proper fashion while boogiepop enters as a savior at the last moments with its beautiful yet mysterious dialogues which will just mesmerize you.
Another reason why boogiepops dialogues are beautiful is the fact the amazing script and even more amazing and breathtaking Voice acting of Yuki Aoi. I could listen to boogiepops like
an ASMR over and over, its that addictive. Hats off to her.
During this show, with every episode i just find myself getting totally lost and immersed in the world this series presents,i just love how its made including the characters.
The narrative structure, its like we are presented with different pieces of story at different points in time that get pieced together gradually. It creates a nice mystery to her as well.
The ideology, the mindset of humanity, how every scene and conversations between characters just plays with the viewers mind in a complex but beautiful manner, the concept/message from the
build up period to the finishing of each arc and episode just pure guilty pleasure for a mature audience.
Another thing i am glad to see the horror aspects is done with specific scenarios and very mild gore element which can at times spook and take the audience by surprise.
Animation wise, Madhouse has done a really good work on this series. The character designs and animation pretty well fit the aesthetics of the show.It mostly reminds me of Parasyte maxim, another great horror show,
so you kinda understand what i am talking about. Its really well done. Only problem i had was sometimes i had trouble sometimes distinguishing characters,as most of the designs were quite closely similar.
Other than that setting of show, the background sceneries with its slightly dark, but tranquil element captures the atmosphere in high levels.
The production and filter usage also were quite top grade.
The sound/OST is another great part of this series.
Starting off with OP and ED,especially the OP "Shadowgraph" arguably the Best Op of this season and my personal favorite,Myth and roid again with a home run with a beautiful and breathtaking track.
Every time i hear it gives my a tranquil feeling and giving me goosebumps at the same time, its that good. ED also quite satisfying to listen to and fits well.
The OST's and background music is just great and well adapts to the story line and scenarios, while giving the feel of mysterious, tension and bit of horror, also during the fight and climax scenes
it picks up the pace, while giving a chill and tranquil vibe during amazing and deep conversations between characters.
Also as i mentioned earlier Voice actors have performed well and given justice character, especially Yukii Aoi with Boogiepop, her calm and soothing voice for boogipop is eargasm for my ears literally.
The studio and staff just delivered a great package to the viewers.
Coming to the end of the review,i would say this is the underrated show of the season, people have been dropping it due to slow pacing and the confusion the plot causes at the start, but are not patient
for it to unfold in an amazing manner which is the unique selling point of this show.
It needs immense focus at times but its worth it and i could say its quite a masterpiece in its own way.
We might not have another boogiepop, its that unique and kind of a gift from the anime industry to the mature audiences.
Watching this show,it really made me realize how much I miss watching a good horror/psychological story, no wonder this series is so beloved and influential towards other LN's.
This show needs more recognition and appreciation. Really highly recommended.

"I don't do well when people do things i didn't expect.
but its after those unexpected things happen, that you find little discoveries and new encounters.
So once in a while it might not be bad" - Subaru
There are many slice of life genre anime out there, most of them simple and sweet, for a nice enjoyable time.
Then there comes those special kinds of slice of genre, which just capture your heart in the most unique way, and this season
we have one, the beautiful hidden gem called My roommate is a cat.
Sometimes in life, there is someone who will come along and change your life and your perspective
...
on it.
But it doesn't necessarily mean, it has to be a human, a change can come in different and smallest of forms.
In this case its a sweet little adorable cat named Haru.
The story begins with our MC a 23 year old man named Subaru, who is a writer by profession and has recently in unfortunate
circumstances has lost his parents.A sad but a soon to be what is a beautiful beginning of a beautiful story and relationship
between two amazing characters
After his parents death,Subaru who already was a book lover & a introvert, has started to seclude himself more, alienating himself
from the society and any forms of contact. Be it fate or Gods calling as one day when he is paying homage on his parents grave with some food, enters our 2nd MC
a little curious looking cat lured by the food, and subaru on an unknown instinct decides to take her in.
Then begins this wonderful journey between the human and his pet, which was quite interesting to see because it was something new for a story.
The most amazing thing i found about this anime series it provides us Two POV's in the daily episode storyline.
One from subaru's perspective and then from Haru's perspective. Which was really creative and quite a amazing view from the viewers point to be honest.
Their journey begins from a basic Master and pet relationship, that is shelter and basic food provision.
But slowly you see this amazing change, which mostly initated and caused by Haru.
For example as Subaru, shut himself up in his house with hardly any contact, while working on his novels, hardly used to
pay attention to himself, including his eating habits, he hardly ate anything for himself, but somehow made sure to feed haru and even took some efforts in it.
Surprising right? but the more surprising fact was, while looking at haru Eating,he started eating his meals.
And when we See Haru's POV,while she is in the house, carefully studying everything around her including subaru.
She always wonders why he doesn't eat, and in her inner monologue, wants subaru to eat,as her personal belief is Food is important.
This just a showcase of how simple but quite amazing the perspective of animals can be, we sometimes think what our pets or some animals
We see in our daily lives might be like, what they think or why they do certain stuff, the curiosity, simple beliefs, the connection between humans and animals everything is shown in beautiful spectrum.
And this one example was just one of the many beautiful plot scenes of the storyline. There are so many instances and scenes which make you go like just "Wow" and something near to heart which will make you smile and might bring a tear or two to your face.
Not only Haru, the POV's of other animals and pets which are show in the series, also are really well presented which shows and teaches something every now and then.
Another great thing about this show, they show the struggles of an introvert through our MC.
It also shows that animals can actually be a form of therapy for people who are struggling in daily life
Subaru who exhibits social anxiety, his life was on the verge of a gloomy standstill point until haru came in his life, he slowly starts
understanding the meaning of creating bonds and relationships the people by being with her.
But not only with support form haru,Subaru also display's his personal weakness, and how difficult it is to overcome it,even that you might not
be able to overcome it most times, but taking the first step is winning halfway and moving on forward is the next step.
That's how beautifully this concept is presented, that i cant find much words to appreciate it.
Not only the animals, along with Subaru the viewers can get the notion what the anime tries to tell us.
The people present in your life right now, those who care for us, support us and are there for us.We might
not realize their value right now until their gone. Which was mainly shown with flashbacks of Subaru with his parents, when he realizes all those conversations and time he spent with them, how much it actually meant to him, how much he misses them and that painful feeling which remains.
And now he has all these people with him who are supporting him and care for him, how he should reciprocate and regard the value of those people.
All of which he slowly learns and changes himself with his daily life with Haru.
That said the other side characters including the animals are really interesting to watch, as not only they help in the plot with supporting and being a part of
Subaru's life, but also have good character personality and are a absolute joy to watch too.
That's the reason i consider these kind of slice of life a great piece of work, not only does it show us heartwarming and light moments,
but keeps giving us the harsh reality checks. A real perfect balance.
Coming to animation, no complaints, infact it really quite adapts to the series. It gives out quite a calm and collected feel.I never seen Zero G's works before, but its
quite going to be a upcoming studio for sure as they delivered quite well from the plot and story narration, character development and presentation. The consistency of
the animation in each episode. Its quite the delight to your eyes which makes it more attractive to the viewers. Good stuff.
Sound wise, great work again. I would even give it a amazing certificate, as the OST's are superb, from the heartwarming scenes to the slight dark events, the music just adapts and releases itself
in perfectly.Even during important parts where the characters are having really wholesome but conversations with feelings it really helps with the background music. The OP is my favorite, it has a nice catchy tune, which is uplifting and really heartwarming,i myself cant help but shake my head along with the tunes xD
The ED is a nice calming track, which is perfect for a show like this, just relaxes
you more at the end of each episode.
Overall i just wanna say, if i might be so bold, this show is a masterpiece in its own way. There is not a single episode, that will disappoint you. Each episode with its wholesomeness, bit of feels and sentimental values, mixed with a glaze of nice fun comedy and most importantly Haru's cute antics will just entice your heart with variety of emotions.
I loved this series, and i consider it to be one of the underrated shows of the season, it deserves more attention and love from viewers and i do hope it does.
If you are looking for a real piece of slice of life, with all the beautiful concepts of life presented in a delightful yet in a meaningful way, and something to relax and de-stress you, make you smile and bring a few tears with feels.
then this is the show for you. Highly recommended.

The Second Season of 3d Kanojo well, to be honest it really was a fast paced but really well done both story and animation wise to be precise.
The life of our Mc otaku tsutsun continues with his new relationship with Iroha, the prettiest and popular girl in school with the timeline of the 6 months where she
is supposedly leaving the school. Quite a decent interesting setup for a romance series
There was a lack of character development in the first season, but its quite satisfyingly covered this season with the plot
and to be honest the “intensity” of this season (a lot of things happen in
...
each episode) comes from season one doing an great job setting up the characters and their scenarios.
Starting off with our two MC's.
Tsutsun, our introvert otaku who still is struggling with his introvert problems and ability to stand for himself
in the school, social circle and mainly his relationship with iroha.
During this season. The events in the plot quite transformed him surprisingly,
not only he matured as a teenager who can understand people, relationships better and take the effort to converse and interact out of his comfort zone & succeeding. Also step up as a matured responsible man and as a really good partner for iroha, which was really great to see.
Now Iroha, she didn't much of a good connection in the relationship with tsutsun, in the earlier season nor any development in the character,
but her good judgement of character and the way she actually grows her affection towards tsutsun and also supports him in various situations including family and personal matters,
really upgrades her status as a girlfriend in this season.
Their relationship progresses in a normal, but sweet and quite delightful manner, with bit of drama and little ups & downs, which is enjoyable to watch, but at the same time the foreshadowing of the fact that it will only last for 6 months kind of cuts it down. But it also creates the curiosity and a bit of excitement in store for the viewers to see how the story will pan out with the happy or the monotonous sad ending.
Now the other four supporting characters which were relevant to the series and their relationship story, well that had quite a development too.
First of all Ito and Ayado, their friendship cum relationship transformation was quite a bit forced in the series to be honest,as both are otaku's their bonding was quite natural and understandable.
but i feel they should have been given a bit more time and development for their relationship.
time for their relationship development. Individually Ito had also great development, similar to tsutsun but much faster. He actually was the first one to show development,
from the shy boy to a grown teenager, both mentally and physically if you know what i mean.
Ayado well her character development was just being more open with her feelings and expressing them in a shy but bold way, pretty much that's all there is to her.
Then comes our best Girl Ishino, the best support character, the only actual comedian of the series and wingman, have been praying for some decent screen time and plot for her. Wasn't disappointed.
Not only did she continue with her great supporting performance, but also had good development as far as making herself recognized as a best girlfriend potential to actually valuing herself
more and improving her life choices including guys.
For Takanashi, he was another surprise, from being the asshole of the first season, he quite showed us his another side,as a responsible son, brother, a actual caring friend (ofc he doesnt like to show it),
and for the first time actually started valuing and caring for ishino while playing the tsundere trope and keeping his snobbish attitude.
Their love hate relationship with the drama is quite annoying at times especially from Takanashis side, but is bearable and worth to watch as it has its moments.
Another good and noticeable thing about the series is that, even other side characters had decent involvement with their own backstory scenes and bit of development in the story, like the siblings of tsutsun & takanashi and also Tsutsuns parents which played quite a decent role into the plot progression.
Hoods entertainment actually took good amount of rework measurements and increased the production quality this time, in contrary to the first season, which was really not worthwhile.
The animation and art style are pretty decent with contrasting bright themed colors. Especially the Opening and the ED which have nice relaxing visuals and color play.
Same goes for the sound, i liked both the Op and especially the ed as whenever any episode ends on a dramatic note the Ed plays up which quite fits nicely.
The OST are also pleasant and heartwarming and adapt quite well with romantic and some emotional scenes.Really well done.
The Va's did quite well with the delivery of dialogues and speeches, especially tsutsuns and iroha's.
Overall i would say this is quite a normal but a nice romantic series to watch, it quite presents the journey of a teenager life, high school life, friendships. usual life problems, including struggles of a introvert (otakus especially),starting of love life including confessions, the usual good relationship moments and struggles, somethings which the viewer can relate to at a personal level.
The plus point to this is that with the foreshadowing of a a limited time of 6 months with the two Mc's you get the vibe of "Your lie in April" feeling. At the start it wont be that relevant, but at the few end episodes of the series it will be a nice roller coaster of emotions and drama.
So be really patient, because its really worth the watch,it has its nice moments, emotions & good scenes,so do enjoy it.

From the makers of Uchi no maid, Doga kobo presents another loli fest Wata ten.
But compared to Uchi no maid, this is much more softer in terms of lolicon parody and to be honest more enjoying in
a heartwarming delightful manner.
The story revolves around our main characters Miyako and Hana.
One day Miyakos sister Hinata (Best girl btw) brings her classmate Hina to her house, and introduces
her to Miyako and voila, Miyako is instant smitten by this lovely little "angel" looking girl.
Love at first sight, ok quite the cliche moving on.
Now we learn a bit about miyako, she is well quite the introvert university student who
...
is into fashion designing.
Not only she is a great cook, a good designer but also a responsible sister.Ideal waifu material? sure But here comes the fun part.
Her favorite hobby and pastime? of course making up cosplay clothes for little girls. Also after meeting hana and falling for
her little angelic beauty, hana has become the prime model for her cosplay fantasies.
Now Hana, inspite of her being young, quite the sensible and matured girl, but as always there will always be a weakness.
and the weakness is.... *Drum rolls*, she is a hard core glutton or lets just say foody. She literally is a food hooker.
and i meant it in a good way. She will do anything as long as she is fed good food.
So miyako being a good cook, with her fantasies of dressing up Hana in her cospaly clothes, what else could be the perfect god made setting?
In spite of Hana noticing Miyakos side of lolicon and dressin up fetishes and even kind of repulsing a bit at it, as long as the tasty food
is made by miyako, all is well.
Next of the main loli trio, we have Hinata. Absolutely 100% the best girl of the show. This fanged loli is the burst of her energy of smiles and happiness.
Her obsessive, cute love for her miyako, especially of her famous trademark name for Miyako "Mya nee!!", which she says so many times throughout the series,(in a non annoying way that too).
Her world literally revolves around miyako, praising her, wanting to be around and receving mental and physical affections from her just adorable. siscon over 9000.
She just uplifts and supports all characters in a really sweet way and manages to just make the show more enjoyable for viewers in every way with her smile and antics.
Finally we have Noa, who moved next to miyakos house and well one day caught Miyako cosplaying and quite smugly blackmailed her so that she could wear miyakos hand made dresses.
Noa is well another matured and sensible girl of her age, she has a high sense of fashion and likes to compete with hana on the cosplay dressing scenes,
to prove that she is cute and get attention from miyako in the process, but most of the times unfortunately Hana as she is the prized cute gem for miyako wins.
She is also a quite sweet addition to the trio, she helps miyako at times while dealing in situations with hana and hinata
Also she is quite fond of Hinata especially, and harbors a quite platonic love for her.
Other side characters are also quite interesting and enjoyable to watch,
The other two classmates of Hinata, Koyori and Kanon.
They both are the Class reps of the class, while Koyori tries to be the dominant, dependable class rep,
its actually kanon whom the class looks up to, as she actually is the most matured, sensible, responsible, calm and sweet matured as Koyori is clumsy
and usualy clutters and makes a mess of her work.
But both of them have a real good friendship and can be seen hanging out together often where kanon usually takes care of koyori. Really sweet and heartwarming.
Finally we have Matsumoto. The downgraded version of Midori of uchi no maid.
She was once in the same class as miyako, once saw her sewing in economics room with dedication
and instantly became smitten and attracted to her,
Whatever may come, she is obsessed with miyako, and stalks her since high school, with her weird fetishes like popping out of nowhere in front of miyako, making dresses for miyako where she knows her measurement
without ever measuring her, making miyako like dolls,a more of scary and weird dialogues relating to miyako which are all but for comic purposes.
She has a normal, sweet little sister who likes playing acting role with her dog, still oblivious to her big sisters weird habits.
With all these likable characters, their antics and personalities, it makes up of for a sweet, great comedy and a heartwarming series.
The best feature i find is apart from the all the normal fun stuff, after Mikoyan's introduction and daily interaction with these girls slowly makes her open up a bit more and express herself more,
and improve upon her introvert and NEET nature, which is really enjoyable and pleasant to watch.
Something rare to watch.
As for animation Doga Kobo did a great job once again with giving us nice light pastel colors and simple art design with really great animation, especially for a series like this.
Brings out the cute and adorable aspect of the show along with bit of comedy drama parts instilled in between scenes.
Sound wise,no complains there as well. The OST are relaxing and pleasant to listen to while watching the anime.
Also The Opening and ED are well made.I liked the ED especially, the Little girls singing "Happy Happy Friends" joyfully
at the top of their voices, gives a great delight to end the show on a happy high note. Love it.
Another nice slice of Life, Shoujo Ai. If you wanna layback relax and watch a bunch of cute girls do some sweet stuff with a nice glaze of fun comedy and Yuri,
then please go ahead and give it a watch. Really well made, Enjoyable and recommended.

This series is like the best word for it a meme show. i mean for a anime which makes your eyes go wide open and make you spit out your drink with laughter there is no other justified title.
This might be one of the hidden gem for a comedic series this season.
Lets just dive in on a short review. Bit of minor spoilers mind you.
The plot revolves around three high school students and their science club activities, but of course its no ordinary activity nor are the students
Meet our main female Mc, Ueno who is a fanged tsundere girl with a strong attitude, clumsy
...
ofc, a bit perverted and most importantly a fucking genius.
A genius in creating Bizarre, crazy and amazing Inventions, which could uplift and help mankind into a better future. But who cares for mankind as the personal her junior and the male mc Tanaka.
Tanaka lets say is another of a normal but top tier dense, blockhead Mc of all time. Ofc i termed him blockhead is for the his continuous aloofness and ignorance of Uenos advances.
But Ueno on the other hand is not so normal in her advances, as her idea of conveying feelings of love is messed up or rather to get to the point she tries to appeal with her kinky, thirsty feminine side with weird ass fetishes.
Yep fetishes like stockings, panties, swimsuits even urine and sweat and the list just goes on.
The inventions which are the main tools of attracting Tanaka are at first seemingly brilliantly amazing if applied and looked at normally, its explained by the narrator in a really good way too.
But then comes the true perverted motive behind explained by ueno, how she can use it to awaken Tanaka's manly perverted side and divert it towards her.
For example a invention to create urine and sweat into drinking water (her urine for tanaka to drink ofc), or to make stockings turn into a pet or a stocking as a phone charger. (you see where i am going)
This is just the start of the comedy, the real fun starts when Tanaka in his simple curiosity gets baited into using the inventions, which either causes him to screw up the purpose of the invention in his simplicity or cause physical contact with ueno who is the perverted mind but all of a sudden turns into a maiden of heart with his touch with her shy and girly side awakened which of course causes nervous breakdown in her and in the end the plan to fail hilariously.
Finally we have our third support character Yamashita, Ueno's assistant. A normal character, but with some good rare comedic outbursts, antics and dialogues.
She knows whats ueno's upto and supports her cause, but sometimes ends up as the guinea pig for her inventions or sometimes the poor victim of the failures. But best thing is she is a wingman & always save Ueno's ass on time. literally.
There are other side characters too mainly which are all girls, who are mostly weird and sometimes present weird sexual kinky innuendos, but in a series is like this its pretty normal and quite adds up quite nicely to the plot.
Apart from the weird, crazed fill comedy, there are some rare sweet moments which are delightful and worth it. That's what made me like this show even more.
Animation is quite decent, clear cut drawings and bright colors, makes it look a kid show but definitely serves the purpose of the series.
The ED which has three different Versions which have great visuals, good sound track and amazing creativity which caught my eye. example constellations in a dark sky made in the designs of Ueno's Inventions
That was particularly interesting and really well done.
Another feature i liked was Ueno's VA performance, her delivery of random lines and the ones where Ueno is supposed to be nervous, anxious or the likes really helps to complete Ueno's personality.
In the end i would say, the only downside to this is its a short series of 12 minutes. wish it was longer
but if you have a good capacity for really bizzare,a bit vulgar, weird but good comedy which can really make you enjoy and laugh your ass out. Then this one is really worth the watch. Don't miss it.

A underrated hidden gem of the fall season. This show actually depicts the literal and true meaning of colors in life. Another good thing it's an original series which makes it quite more interesting..
The start of the series begins in a world sixty years from now, people where people have incorporated using various magic to ease up their life.
But our female protagonist Hitomi who comes from a family of magicians hates magic. The very irony.
Also she has another dilemma color blindness. The cause? Quite a mystery. She's doesn't feel much joy from life. Leads quite a monotonous life.
Her grandmother, Kohaku, knowing what hitomi
...
is going through, decides to send her sixty years back to meet her younger self, in hopes of helping Hitomi to overcome the situation.
And now the Story begins with hitomi living life in the past along with the grandmother and her other school friends.
Characters 7/10
Our female Mc Hitomi. As I said earlier at the start she is quite the typical shy, a little slight depressed, quiet character. She doesn't like magic due to apparent reasons. But throughout the series she shows slow but good character development from liking, learning and using magic to opening up with her emotions and learning to enjoy life more.
Quite pleasant to watch.
Our male Mc Aoi. Quite the normal Mc at first, but more to him than meets the eye. A excellent artist with his drawings. Sensible and smart. But still has some personal problems with his motivation and desire to draw and create art.
Interesting thing, the only place Hitomi can see colors is Aoi's drawings, which literally come to life for her, Magic? well you can find that for yourselves. Obviously she is mysteriously attracted to it, curious and wanting to see more. Aoi on the other hand with his problems is also intrigued by this unique situation as he later gets to know about her color blindness.
So now both share and develop a unique bonding & start trying to figure out and indirectly help with each others situation, while growing closer to each other at the same time.
At the few end episodes of the series a strong hint of romance is indicated between them
Then there is the grandmother or lets say the young version of grandmother Kohaku. She is for me the MVP of the series. A Joyful, carefree girl who is not only smart and skilled at magic, but also knows how to play the wingman for our two MC's.
She also can be a serious & sensible person who you can rely for advice and help in need. Great character and waifu material for sure.
The Other side characters are interesting too. They provide good entertainment to the main story and support to the MC's and have bit of decent development to their personalities as well.
They don't have any extra ordinary qualities, but i really like it, mainly because of how good the relationships built between the characters are.
Story 8/10
The plot is a combination of Slice of life, Magic and Romance. Magic is the main concept, which is definitely shown and represented in abundance and in quality.
The story presented to be honest is a bit complicated but rather it is really well supported by the supernatural and fantasy element with a bit of emotions and feels thrown into the mix.
The Beautiful concept and application of Magic is displayed which along with the stunning visual scenarios can be breathtaking at times for real.
It just shows us how beautiful and deep meaning colors have in our life, which depicting every bit of deep emotions.
Hitomi's character especially when we see the monochrome view through her perspective, we realize how dull and monotonous life is without colors, not literally but the actual color of life.
Also, most of the times it maintains its the simplicity which is really enjoyable
One thing i was slightly disappointed was they took a bit of time for story progress and mainly character development, and very less amount of drama and romance. Which was later a bit rushed and incorporated in the final few episodes.
They could have done better in that department considering its a original series.
Art 10/10
The Best part of the series and i mean for real. like literally if i could say If any anime could come close to Violet Evergarden in terms of animation this year. It would be this series
I mean PA Works just outdone themselves, i mean literally blew me out of my seat from the first episode and got me hooked The background art is literally one of the best you can find in anime, the multi admirable display and usage of colors and some indeed very well captured unique camera angles and beautiful sceneries, literally makes this show stand out from the rest.
Character animations are very smooth and looks natural. Absolutely top quality animations. Mad respect again to PA Works. I would watch it again Just for the Art and animation.
Sound 9/10
I want to appreciate voice acting on this show and the background sound track, really well done. But more than that, i want to give a heartfelt applause to really to the OST, both Opening and Ending tracks.
From the first episode I was already like *WOW* from the soundtracks. The OST used are almost certainly beautiful, just as the show itself is, its really heartwarming and melodic.
On a side note i really love the ED "Mimei no Kimi to Hakumei no Mahou" sung by Nagi Yanagi, what a talent. The song itself is so melancholic and soothing with the amazing animation again.
It just makes me wanna close my eyes and let the song take me away for real.
Conclusion
I would just say, please watch it. This show is really amazing and consistent with its Stunning mind blowing, Visuals,Satisfying plot, likable characters, the wonderful world of colorful Magic and a bit of a powerful message to the meaning of people and colors in life.
Lets just say how the right people bring different colors to your life. Great Job PA works again wonderful work done right.
It started unexpectedly for me but this series still made me craving for more right to the end. Good stuff.

Hell is always imagined to be a Dark, Dangerous place full of torturous, tormented filled with savage beings and creatures.
Well you can throw all that imagination out of the window when you see what this anime beholds especially for an idea of the Underworld.
The anime revolves around a Hell or rather a paradise looking hell called Pandemonium which is the mix of a bit of ancient and modern age developed setting with the very high element of cuteness, moe and Fluffiness (Yes you heard me) .
Characters
Meet our MC's Miss Beelzebub who is the supreme demon leader of the underworld who is a air
...
head, laid back adorable and a pretty teenage looking girl who's obsessed with cute things and food with her favorite word being "MOFU MOFU" (soft/Fluffy in Japanese description) and her personal assistant/guardian Myurin, who takes care of her persona work matters, makes sure she finishes her work instead of lazying around and is responsible most of the times. Also is a bit of a shy Tsundere in nature.
Apart from this, there's also a special close relation between them which is lingering but is still developing. As Myurin really has admiration and respect for Beelzebub as the demon lord and his boss, but also likes her cute side and adores her secretly and is protective. Also Beelzebub is really dependent on myurin for her work and chores being a bit of a lazy, air head girl but also really values him and somewhere secretly also has a big soft spot for him, which is slowly developing into feelings.
This adorable relationship between them keeps being developed with their respective characters throughout the series in a really cute, humorous and heartwarming way, almost like watching young innocent teenagers beginning to learn about love.
Also there are relationship developments along with other side character couples too which are really interesting and pleasant to watch too.
Besides the MC we have our Side characters who have great enjoyable personalities as well ,for example:
Azazel , A manly ripped guy/Former Demon lord who is a bit shy and speaks using placards and secretly also loves Cute things.
Berphegor a really sweet, cute shy girl who has big time anxiety talking to others except for beelzebub. Her anxiety means she shakes from fear almost constantly and also has a nervous bladder when she is really frightened and she dashes to the washroom several times a minute.
Eurynome A big time Shotacon who's love for small boys grow no bounds and has a ability where she can imagine a Grown up guy in his small boy form which is really hilarious especially when she reacts to it.
Azeroth another demon lord, who calls himself Beelzebub's Elder brother though not related who is a small time siscon, but loves to flirt around with other girls most of the time.
Azeroth's assistant Sargatans who is has a sadist only towards him, and despite her calm appearance loves punishing Azeroth when he lazes around flirting with girls and punishes him more harshly with wrestling moves when he calls her Flat. Despite her violence she also enjoys cute things but prefers to keep her hobby a secret.
Other good characters with interesting personalities are also present, which viewers will quite enjoy.
This really simple plot with hell and demon/fallen angel references with these main and side characters with their unique and enjoyable personalities and antics with the element of comedy and cuteness overload and a good bit of romance make for a great relaxing and enjoyable series.
Animation and Art.
The Animation quality is top notch by LIDENFILMS, with their clear, but elegant and bright pastel color's and beautiful & adorable creations which brings out the cuteness and lighthearted moments of the anime.
Sound.
The background music with the intro and outro are equally chill, calming & delightful to hear, along with a calm and enjoyable narration in between scenes.
Conclusion
A soothing and warm series, purely about the happy stuff, a real stress reliever, perfect for all those who are into this type of anime. I personally am and can't watch this show without smiling and giving a few laughs and just taking in the cuteness and heartwarming moments.
Hope more viewers delve into this show to have a really good and enjoyable time. Really good recommendation. :)

Just from viewing the title and poster i assumed it was a typical fan service anime, but boy was i ever wrong. Never would actually expect this anime to actually have such a deep complex meaning towards life. Going to put minimum amount of spoilers as possible on this review :)
Basically the anime revolves around the life of a High school teenager Sakuta, trying to live his daily life normally, but supernatural occurrences known as "Puberty syndrome" is affecting the people or lets just say the girls he encounters. Whom he must try and help.
Characters 9/10
We have our two main characters Sakuta and Mai
...
, their personalities a lot refreshing and enjoyable to watch, also it contrasts a lot with each other but when two come together they carry good quality conversations and really have a good chemistry for a romance anime.
They aren't the usual cliched characters with the same generic background, behavior pattern as most of the high school characters have. So that's a bonus.
The main male character or lets say the "Rascal" Sakuta, who has a nice refreshing quiet, self-contained attitude and with a kind of a interesting dark past which slowly gets revealed during the series as story progresses.
But what sets him apart from the other normal MC's is his surprisingly normal, cool yet interesting personality, his high quality conversations which most of the time are sarcasm, his humor, ability to talk to female characters at a refreshing way.even able to roast them and crack jokes at them especially with his famous semi lewd jokes which is definitely enjoyable, but also his serious nature and ability to handle problems with intellectual prowess in a sensible and calm way when the situation arises like mainly helping the girls with the puberty syndromes.
Also i forgot to mention our boy has a bit of a fetish of masochism which is presented in a quite humorous way. :3
Then we have our Female MC or lets say Sakuta's "Bunny Girl Senpai", Mai who is a fairly famous actress, goes to the same school as him, and the first girl he helps with the syndrome. A beautiful calm matured girl with a sense of maturity, also has a bit of a tsundere personality not too much which i find really refreshing and nice to see.
Also speaking of other good traits, she cooks well, skilled at her work and studies, knows how to support Sakuta when in need, being romantic to him at times and also knows how to keep him in check giving him a little bit of physical punishment like pinching him and stepping on his foot etc. Yep Best girl qualities for sure.
Other side characters too which i found personally interesting and likable. For example
Futaba rio, sakuta's close school friend, who's really sensible, smart and a science student, mostly found working in the chemistry lab and whom sakuta seeks advice for the syndrome problem and is the main source of help for him.
Also she likes to tease and insult sakuta in a friendly way, and every time calling him a Buta yarou (Rascal).
Kunimi his very close male friend whom he knows for a long time, A carefree, athletic, jolly guy, together with futaba all three of them are like really good friends.
Toga , Sakuta's Junior in school, who is a little scatterbrained, and is a bit over conscious of her social life and status and how other people look at her.
Kaede, the most adorable and cute girl in the series in my opinion,Sakuta's younger sister. who had a incident in her past due to which she confined herself at home, loves her elder brother and panda's the most and also is timid and shy to talk to others.
Clings to sakuta when he awakes in the morning, tries to express her sisterly love in the most adorable manner. Really is a heartwarming and lovable character.
There are other good characters too which are interesting, not boring and good personalities too, but didn't appeal to me that much.
Story 8/10
Anyways coming to the main story, more than romance the plot is basically about Puberty Syndrome affecting the girls and how Sakuta tries to solve them.
The syndrome's are so well presented and how their connections are explained in relevance to actual Scientific theories for example Schrodinger's cat, Laplace's demon etc.
But more importantly how these syndrome occurrences are due to the emotions, the personality, and the past of the characters in the story and actual in real life problems too.
Each girl with syndrome is given a certain set of episodes, which is the Syndrome arc, and it goes at a good pace and good character conversations and meaningful interactions which will hook you.
You could say the viewers can feel the same vibes as the monogatari series (If you have watched the series that is), especially with the main characters personality and different encounters with the girls.
Art/Animation 8/10
Speaking of Animation and art, Its really detailed, clean and well made.Color quality is good too and well balanced. Will kinda remind you of Oregairu. Cloverworks did a good job overall though.
Sound 9/10
Going to sound, Nothing much to talk about, Sound quality is good, especially with background music which goes well with the occuring scenario and scenes
The Opening Song (Kimi no Sei) though by the Peggies is amazing, from the animation, the scenes and the visuals, how it is presented to the lyrics.
Also i like the ending song (Fukashigi no Carte) which is really pleasant and interesting to watch, because it has a nice melody to it,apart from the music changes with each arc, syndrome and the girl concerned and is sung by the VA of the respective girl. Good Stuff.
Conclusion:
Lastly, i would say that this series is really good. The supernatural element with the mysteries of “puberty syndrome”, how it is presented, explained, connected and solved.
A good bit of romance, a bit of slice of life and comedy, roller coaster of emotions, drama and plot twists with such good refreshing MC's and other characters with good interactions, development, visuals with good pacing is really more than worth your time.
A really High recommended watch for sure.

Selling manga that customer wants , without being overwhelmed by the strange turns, that is the task of a Comic Bookstore. - Honda 2018
This anime series is a Hidden gem in the fall season. A short 15 minute per episode series but packed with a lot of comedy plus actual daily life of a book store employee problems and antics mixed.
The series is basically depicted on the daily work life of a skeleton guy ,yea he is literally a skeleton wearing normal clothes and not only that there are other weird looking characters/employees example, a mummy girl a pumpkin head etc. which will
...
make it quite weird for the viewers at the start but as the anime progresses you just not only to get used to it actually start to delve and enjoy how the anime is presented with its comical antics and humor.
Not only you get to enjoy the comedy aspect but also learn a lot of stuff about how a book store is operated on a daily basis, the hectic life of employees and also how they have to survive the pressure of handling both the customers and the sales representatives while keeping tabs on inventory and sales of manga, comics, novels etc. Also how the relationship of the bookstore employees with other customers, publishing companies, distributors and managers, basically the entire world of anime, manga industry and how the connection between them works is well presented in a really humorous but in a hidden beautiful manner.
Also there are so many known Anime references, which are thrown into the mix which you will recognize, enjoy and the comedy included with learning how the relation of a bookstore and book company/ the industry works from promotion, to delivery and sales. This show has it all.
Honda's Seiyuu/VA Saito Souma did a amazing job, where he actually brings the character and personality making him really enjoyable and entertaining to watch.
Animation i wouldn't say is top notch but really well done because mostly i think most of the characters and background is made to make it more stereotype and to present the characters in a bit weird manner, but honestly it really doesn't matter because the show will captivate you with its plot and humor , bit of real life emotions and lessons and finally not to forget Honda's antics with other employees and customers.
A really Highly Recommended Watch for sure. Enjoy. :)
