the spoiler portion of this review has a warning before it, so you can read the rest of the review without worrying.
Maitsuki Niwa-tsuki Ooya-tsuki is one of the fluffiest manga I have ever read, executed to near perfection. While the story does have some drama, it never really gets angsty, and often resolves conflict in a very comfy way. Instead of focusing on some grandiose plot, the entire story is within the relationships of each of the characters. This pays off incredibly well, as each character is incredibly distinct in personality, and very interesting to watch. The mangaka has a bit of same-face syndrome with
...
their art, however it never really becomes a problem with how different each character's personalities are. The main focus of this manga is obviously the relationship between the tenant and landlord, and it is one of the best fluffy romances I've read. Nothing really drags on, and there isn't much comedy filler, each chapter you see the two get closer and closer. One very cute thing this manga has is it shows off the layout of the two's home at each point in the manga. If you combine all of these together you can see a very cute display of the main couple getting closer and closer, even before dating. The story is also very grounded while staying lighthearted, It portrays its topics in a realistic, but optimistic way. One of the leads is an idol, and it deals with things like the paparazzi, stalking, etc. with the serious they deserve, but not so much to bring the mood down. When one of the leads of a romance is an idolized person I usually don't like it, as they are often held to some very strange level. An example of this is any high school romance that involves a "prince" or "princess" character. They are often obsessively hounded, without ever shedding any light to the issue of their popularity. Either that or their popularity is used as a way to hold the plot back. however this manga does none of this. Miyako's life as an idol is separate from her current life, and while she still faces issues from it, it is not her entire existence.
[End Spoilers]
One thing I have seen criticized of this manga is that the ending was inconclusive and rushed. While I can tell the author definitely did not have the time to cover everything they wanted, I believe they did everything they could with the time they had left. For example, there is a "side couple" in the manga that never gets together. It really seemed like the mangaka wanted to finish their plot together, but decided to leave it open and not rush it instead. The ending itself I don't have much issue with either. While It went by pretty fast, it was as grounded as the rest of the manga, didn't make up bullshit for the plot to move forward, and had an ending that was very in-character. I was personally satisfied with the ending.
[Spoilers Over]
I guess i should grade it's aspects:
plot - 8
characters - 9
world - 8 (focusing on it's depiction of the idol industry)
enjoyment - 9
Overall this manga was exactly what my heart needed after a very stressful month.
87-90/100

Days With My Stepsister is an incredibly strange show. From it's title you might expect something along the lines of OreImo or Eromanga Sensei, however it couldn't be further from those shows. I was surprised at how much popularity this show garnered, considering both the original light novel, and the manga adaptation were not very popular. however, Studio Deen, has made some incredible shows in the past, as well as some not great, but still intriguing ones. Deen certainly delivered with this one.
Story
Days With My Stepsister is a show where ultimately, almost nothing happens. The story moves painfully slow, especially at the beginning, and skips
...
a lot of the events you'd actually expect stuff to happen, instead replacing them with journal entries. However, the show also has no real filler. Except for the movie sequence, every single minute of this show goes to developing characters or forwarding the relationship between the main 2 leads. Despite this being one of the slowest shows ever made, more development happens in it than the majority of romances. The story actually really gets going near the end, and it becomes an incredibly realistic depiction of what a relationship between two step siblings would look like. There is some jank in the story, but overall it is really great. Not very many stories even attempt to pull of a normal-ish romance like this anymore, which is why I'm happy to see it.
8/10
Writing
The dialogue is a different story, it goes from impressively boring to unintentionally hilarious. A lot of the dialogue in this show is one of a few things, first being a boring incoherent "philosophical" conversation between the two leads. This is mostly what occupies the beginning of this show, and has a serious negative impact on the show. The show also attempts (and fails at) comedy, mostly with Yomiyuri. Like a lot of other rom-coms Not a single intentional joke actually made me laugh, or even chuckle, but they are there anyway to pad out the runtime. Once the characters are established, the dialogue starts focusing mostly on the relationships between characters, and this is where it finally becomes interesting. While the writing never gets to become anything really that stand-out at least by episode 5 or so, It's not flat out boring anymore. The last kind of line in the show are the ones that are unintentionally hilarious. Every once in a while you will see a character say, do, or suggest something completely out of left field, only to be forgotten about. The best one was when the ethics professor started lecturing Saki on why she really SHOULD fuck her brother. However, there are a lot of people that push the relationship between these two step siblings that you really wouldn't expect. Overall, the writing is the weakest part of this show, and it will really shine in other places.
3/10
Characters
The characters are where this story really shines. I won't go too in depth into them to avoid spoiling things, but both the leads go through a lot of character development for how slow the story is. Every single episode, the characters learn something new, change their perspective and grow as people. Saki especially goes from someone who seems to be totally inept with the world, relying on Asamura more than she should, to be the mature one over Asamura by the end of the series. Asamura breaks the mold of being a generic male self insert protagonist, by actually having worries and stresses of his own. One thing that slightly annoys me is how neither main character seems to really have a hobby. We are said that Asamura loves books, but this doesn't seem to affect his character at all outside of a few interactions. Saki has no hobbies whatsoever, which considering the fact she is kind of an unstable person makes sense, however it still makes for two characters that start off as incredibly boring before we get to know them.
8/10
Directing
The direction of this show is what really makes it stand out. Remember how I said almost nothing happens? well, the directors are somehow able to keep this show incredibly interesting. It has it's hiccups in the beginning, much like the rest of this series, with some incredibly weird long shots, however by the end there is so much tension in the scenes you could cut it. Despite the obvious budget limitations, The directors are able to create the awkward atmosphere that would come around 2 people suddenly living together so well, as well as the tense nature of 2 step sibling stressing over being in love with one another. I am not very well researched with the production side of anime, however whatever they did here was certainly impressive. It made the show stand out way more than it ever would have.
10/10
Music
The music in the show is beautiful, however it's use is incredibly strange. Most of the soundtrack is composed of very slow emotional pieces you might hear at the end of a very long drama series, but they decide to play the tracks as early as the first episode. The music is amazing, but it's use makes no sense to me. Every scene feels like it's trying to be a somber finale.
music: 8/10
use: 4/10
Enjoyment
I had a great time with this series, it was something quite different from a lot of the anime getting made currently, and It kept my attention all the way through. As stated earlier, the first 5-6 episodes had me yelling in my seat for the to do SOMETHING, however once they actually did, the early episodes paid off with how they built up the characters. I almost dropped the show on episode 4, as there was an incredibly baffling writing decision in that episode, but thankfully it was retconned. Overall, the show was above average, and as I rate things based on enjoyment here is my personal score:
7.4/10
I would recommend you check this show out. Despite it's flaws and strange subject matter, it delivers an interesting experience.

This show offers the perfect solution to bullying:
Find a boy who has the power to control time, have him give you horny magical girl powers so you can beat up some bullies, give him your scarf which in turn makes him disappear, and time rewind to a point where no one around you is being bullied.
This show doesn't have subs, and is only available on bilibili, so It was pretty hard to tell what was going on, but it was still a fun watch, especially for the incredibly jarring horny camera angle of the latex clad magical girl.

(I edited this significantly later to improve readability)
Joshikou dakara Safe is an example of how a plot twist or ending can utterly ruin an entire story. For the majority of the manga, it is quite fun, albiet being pretty generic for a yuri. If you still want to read this manga id recommend reading anywhere from chapter 22-24 and then dropping it. up until this point, I was enjoying the manga.
(SPOILERS)
Sadly, a single arc ruins this. Either the author didn't know how to smoothly make a confession happen for the main couple, or they wanted to put in some dramatic twist. What came out
...
of it was a of blackmail rape plot involving the main character, to upset her love interest. This is quite jarring. What makes it worse is how the manga handles it, as the tone of the story is still comedic, while sexual assault is happening. This ruined the manga for me, and left a horrible taste in my mouth.
Plot: 1
the main problem. as mentioned above, the rape arc ruined this for me. Before that, the manga felt much more like a slice-of-life, and not much plot, the one exception being the side characters, two of which having short and sweet romance arc.
Characters: 6:
Most of the main cast was good. the one exception being the main character, whose bullying can go a bit too far in my personal opinion, and she was quite prone to blatant sexual assault.
Art: 5
not bad, not amazing.
Enjoyment: 1
Ruined my day.

"100 Scenes of Girl's Love" has a pretty self explanatory name. A massive number of yuri short stories, usually only being a page long. Despite the title saying "100" there is actually 200 total scenes, as it combines Hachiko's original "100 Scenes of Girl's Love" with "The Four Seasons of Girl's Love" which also has 100 scenes.
There is no story, there doesn't need to be. It is just pure sweetness 100% of the time. No drama to get in the way, just cuteness. Some characters do appear multiple times, but so little I barely noticed it. It reads like looking through an artist's pixiv account.
The
...
art is nothing special, but it is very cute. The characters have a bit of same-face-syndrome, but it doesn't hurt any of the scenes in the manga.
If you love GL and yuri, you will love this manga.
