The opening scene, the music, the animation. It was like nothing I had seen before. Epic.
Oh my goodness, why do I have to write filler content to publish my short and sweet review? Okay so. It's got it all. An incredibly cool protoganist, a sleek and competent femal protagonist and a conflicted central character (Tetsuo) and his girlfriend.
It's an incredible movie that has been endlessly replicated but it's a thoughtful and beautiful progenitor of anime. There might be no anime now without Akira or just endless Pokemon rubbish. Released in 1988, this film changed everything for me and

I seriously cannot understand why the market for stories that involve grown ups is not bigger in anime. It's great to come across a series that is not rubbish and has an interesting storyline and incredible animation.
In Hell's Paradise, there is an intriguing story with ruthless characters that develop and show a human side with some genuinely moving storylines. Next step will be a story that doesn't rely on a character like Yuzuriha to be so scantily clad and still succeeds. Well done. More of this please. I can't publish my brief review without more words, so I'll try fill in some stuff. ...

Not getting the hate.
It's a guy who works hard as per the work ethic in his previous life when he was a salesman. It's only episode 4 and he's off to set up a clinic. It's nice the dynamic between him and Brod who trains him. The only really disappointing thing is that they are not referring more to his previous life skills as the series progreses. Also, the bevy of babes cliche is OTT and annoying. It would be great to see another series where they are not so reliant on loads of curvy girls being attracted to ... |
