The anime is well-done, as all fans, including me who had jumped into this series, had our emotions given a roller coaster ride. Each cliffhanger made us dying to know what's next, each character development episode had us craving for action, the daily activities of these teenagers had us wishing for our ships to finally sail among the characters. If one doesn't term this entertaining and engrossing, I have no idea what else would interesting refer to.
I had my hesitation about this as the name was "Darling in the Franxx", where the darling part had me expecting crazy fanservice with plots not worth my while,
...
and the first few episodes of mechas being ridden doggystyle wasn't something that got on my good side either. However, the plot is about a group of awkward teenagers going through their development amidst the dystopia they were in and the fact that they were left in heavy ignorance about the world, had us empathise and sympathise their experience, as we got to know the characters much better throughout the series. The story of unrequited love, generous love and true love, the anime had expressed and developed these different types of love with much attention, care and detail.
Although I wished the side characters would be better developed rather than 1 or 2 episodes appearance to show us the difference in the environment the main group was brought up in, the episode had given us multiple climaxes in the story and the way they solve the huge world of mystery in the anime had been great. The reminiscent art style from anohana had been very pleasing to watch as well.
There are still many mysteries to be solved, and I hope the rest of the episodes would all had us satisfied in the end. Overall, this anime had been great and had me in tension just like steins; gate, SAO, Kill la Kill and the like.

I couldn't give this a much higher rating...so this might even be just a rant. Not because of character, music, art etc, but the storyline. With so many animes such as sora no tooi no basho, yuru camp and hakumei to meikochi coming out, similarity being about girls doing their things of interest, while some being slice of life. I had to give everything a try and plan to stick through till the end. Most of the animes similar to this are worth it to stick to the end, some becoming my all-time favourites.
However, this one was the one I couldn't stick to the end.
...
It was an interesting concept and the sword art was pretty amazing but storyline just threw me off. With just a brief introduction to how the sword art was used, I was thrown into the unknown starting from these girls' competitions, 2 good friends/rivals and a mysterious girl that appeared out of nowhere with killing intents for the last 'Boss'. The story might be aiming for action 1st to catch the attention of the watchers, but this attempt seemed to fail miserably, as by 6th to 8th episode, I'm literally at a loss.
A main character who just so decisively decided to leave everything behind just to escape with the very girl she first met properly only during the competition, leaving everything behind without a second thought, meanwhile putting her long time same school best friend/ rival in a tight spot. This mysterious girl that is dying the kill the 'last boss', and just nice the main character seemed to have seen that "evil aura" behind the 'last boss' when it was not even shown to the watchers, which normally should have been shown in a normal show. Then without introductions or background known, we have head mistresses of the schools helping these 2 runaway girls in secret.
All these characters linked only with the name of the blades the runaway pair used. I had dropped around 12th episode, as I could not even be bothered to understand whatever developments might come later, as I felt like the climax of the story was thrust into my face from the 1st episode and the story do not know whether they want to focus on the girls' bonds/development or the action that had held potential in the 1st few episodes. I would have preferred to not even give this show a rating of 4 at all, but even lower, but the art shows effort though the story is a mess.
If I'm asked if I want to recommend, I would say absolute no, but if you are interested in action and doesn't bother about them being random, as this year's spring anime had been pretty much relaxing and fuwa fuwa time, or ninja cutting onions everywhere in the room, this might be something worthwhile for you.

First of all, I would like to say that I had big expectations as it's been a while since we travelled back to the 1st few generations of the pokemon anime. Even more so when it is going to be animated with current amazing anime animations and art. I was all into this movie and might have been slightly disappointed in this endeavor, but all the while making me feel that it was worthwhile that I watched it, as I travelled along with Ash on this nostalgic road.
Spoilers will be included in this review as I write it down.
Story: 7/10
I give it a 7/10 as
...
the movie scenes were kinda rushed. There were just so many scenes from the first few generations which made pokemon amazing that we come to be fans of what makes up the Pokemon anime seasons and the movies today, despite the fact that most of the seasons are mainly episodic. (Except for the X & Y and X, Y & Z series, which I was very entranced by.) Such scenes include the Butterfree and Charmander story. I would have to say that choosing such amazing stories from the seasons, it would require time to make the story in the movie heartwarming, yet this movie sandwiched all these stories into 1.5 hour, meanwhile pushing for the main story to move along with the new Ho-Oh rainbow hero arc.
I have to say there were amazing heartwarming moments in the movie, yet there was not enough time for the audience to get into these moments and exclaim "It's amazing!". All these moments are just flashed by and you can see these pokemon evolving every 10 to 15 minutes or-so. It played a lot with fans' nostalgia, yet the movie turned on and off the audience's emotion switch like a flickering light. An example would be the ending, which was a bit similar to "Pokemon: The first movie" ending yet everything suddenly turned into colors of the rainbow. Overall, everything is too rushed and mashed up, but it's still an enjoyable nostalgic watch so hence 7/10.
Art: 9/10
It was amazing, as amazing as X & Y season, hence I have no qualms but to be entranced by it.
Sound 9/10:
Mainly because it seems to me like it is an enhanced version of the original catch'em all song.
Character 9/10:
The new 2 travelling partners were well-developed, they had their opinions and dreams yet support Ash ketchum well in the movie. I had no problems in this area.
Enjoyment 7/10:
It was nostalgic and amazing, but due to the rushed and mashed up story development, I wasn't able to be engrossed in the movie. I could only give it 7/10, mainly due to nostalgia.
Overall: 8/10

I picked this anime up after watching some trailers and... well, who doesn't play MMORPG at least once in their lifetime these days? This is one of those stories that would call out to you as relatable. And I would say it had been a fun watch so far.
Story: 7/10
Character: 6/10
I would say the story overall is relatable, except the MC's bold decision to quit her job and be an elite NEET for the year. It was a fun watch, jokes being a relaxing laugh for the day, and ships you would want to see sailing.
The only thing that make me feel a bit
...
off is the amount of coincidences the author put together in this story and the fact that the main character did not show even slightest distrust towards her net game-mates. Although MC used gaming as an escape from real life and that she did not enjoy her real-life work, I would expect MC to be more proper in making decisions and act mature for her age, even more so with her approximate 10 years of work life in addition to normal approximate 13 years of school life. Instead, MC suddenly became socially inept as a 30 years old. Discussing everything from what to wear to a drinking party to anything with an online "partner" from the gaming world where everyone is unknown... Although I get the idea that she wants to "totally escape" from real life... I feel that this aspect is totally unrealistic and makes me feel totally off about the story.
Moreover, just how lucky can you get in an MMORPG to have every member of the same guild living in the area near the MC and they all met at least once in the lawson convenience store? I get the fact that the story is moving so nicely this way and I see the possible small reverse-harem and ships around the MC (I personally have a ship I wanted to see sailing for the MC). But to have a "partner" in a random MMORPG be the friend of a colleague... The amount coincidences are too stacked up that the story feels too unrealistic.
I am not saying everything must be realistic because this is an anime. But unlike series like re-zero and konotsuba, this series uses realism as a theme and relativity as an attractive mechanism for the fun watch and I feel those two pillars are just barely preventing themselves from crumbling. I would be expecting something close to relife or tsuki ga kirei style even if it is slight.
Meanwhile I do feel that male protagonists are quite realistic as working adults including the fact that they are not the typical super dense guys you see in a romance anime.
The downside pretty much would be that it is 10 episodes and that we will hardly see proper development for MC's background.
However, I do enjoy it nonetheless for the small laughs I get from this anime, hence giving it 7/10 for the story and 6/10 for characters.
Art: 7/10
Art is pretty okay. I like how they make the change obvious for the NEET MC and the MC when attending social gathering. And it is obvious that there is a distinction between the real life and MMORPG, for the enemies you see is MMORPG are very random and not as appealng as 'real life' in the anime, which are pretty good details. There is consistent art as well so far. Hence 7/10.
Music: 7/10
The music is good, the beats are catchy and each time you watch an episode, it is one of those opening you would probably want to continue to listen. The same applies for the ending. But I can't say it is very great. Hence giving it 7/10.
I did enjoyed the jokes and the developments despite the flaws. It is a recommendation if you want stress-relieving jokes in your life, with not serious themes like shounen, I would say this would be a good remedy. But as a fan of shows such as these and slice of life, I can't say this is very good with all the loopholes... hence the overall score of 7/10 .

To be honest, I picked this up due the attractive artwork caught my attention and the title itself, tsuki ga kirei. I was not disappointed.
Story: 10/10
As a fan of slice of life shows like non non biyori, natsume yuujinchou, Flying witch, K-on, Is your order a rabbit? , yama no susume, Anohana, Your life in april and many others, this show started slow and relaxing like any other slice of life anime, not giving away any eye catching moments like other genres. I basically like how it started off. The story slowly develops, and I have to say, is the most natural, most realistic
...
and the most beautiful romance story out of all I have watched thus far.
It is a story about how a group of high school students go through their days, those who fell in love, those with unrequited love. But, the important thing is that all these happened naturally, not with alot of drama even for scenes unrequited love which we often encounter in anime with the girls boldly trying to snatch the guy despite the obvious love the guy shows for one of the particular girls e.g. Nisekoi. This anime beautifully captures the meaning of tsuki ga kirei (I love you) and emphasises on the quiet first-times the girl and the boy share with each other. The pace was pretty fine as well, I don't find the ending rushed and I'm more than happy that the ending song at the last episode shows a brief after story and a proper consistent ending the anime deserves. I'm also glad that they know when to stop instead of making it crazy long to milk the series and bore us.
The only complaint I have is the amount of screen time for "Lime" or Line chatting app. I have no idea if Line takes part in all the slice of life gems or something but I usually find that app in these gems in my case. Others include relife. While I found it used too often is this series but is not a bad thing as it does contribute to the relationship development between the introvert couple... although I would have preferred a bit more face to face times for them. That aside, I have no qualms about the story.
Characters: 8/10
The characters are pretty likable. You don't find a single character you would want to suddenly call a "bitch" in the middle of the anime, neither do you find any irritating characters around the MCs.
Music: 8/10
I'd say, it is relaxing, I can't say it got one of the best OSTs out there but it matches the story just fine. I pretty much like how relaxing it is just like the story.
Art:10/10
The important thing I look for in an anime is consistent art (wouldn't want wobbling art like naruto shippuden in the pain arc), and I have no problems with it here. The art used here is one of a kind and it really very pretty. This utilization is very appealing to me in this slice of life romance.
I really enjoyed the story as one of the best slice of life romance out there. The story is depicted realistically and naturally, about a quiet romance that might be occurring in corners of the world that we may never know. At least that is the feeling I get with this series, thus giving it 10/10

I must say, the anime is plain amazing. Similar to Tengan Toppa Gurren Lagann, the animation indeed is very fluid. Trigger did a great job animating parts that matters and areas that viewers will focus, while reducing animation on areas that don't really matter. The art style is really cute, especially mako, except that I would prefer the study body to include some females instead of multiple clones of the same guy with the exact same coconut hair style. The development of Ryuko is done pretty well, while the hallelujah moments of mako are really a nice touch. The comedy mainly belongs to the
...
cute mako, a best friend anybody would want ^-^
I dropped it once before as I heard the equipment they use have too much fan service, but this fan service is just a side thing that wasn't even a focus in the story, which is very nice. I feel that all the important characters in the anime has proper spotlight given to them to be developed, if we ignore the fact that the base of the story line is pretty absurd, for it's a battle between clothes and mankind. Overall, I did enjoy all 24 episodes, and the final special is a pretty nice touch. Hence, rating it 9 stars out of 10. If you like SAO and adventure kind of thing, this is really right up your alley.

The whole story is about a trio's adventures as they work towards their own goals. Atsuko aims to be like chariot, and works hard towards the goal despite facing many obstacles. The story is about how as she gives it her all to move towards that goal.
It is definitely a deviation from the normal anime series and takes after the western cartoon episodes such as kim possible initially. However, as the episodes moves along, the randomness slowly decreases, and the anime moves into the main storyline. Silly actions of Atsuko is a given, and despite having a separate story for each episode, the main
...
storyline moves the series along.
The animation is great, the side characters are well drawn, even if they may only appear for only one episode. The character each have their own goals and are emphasized well, except for certain characters like Diana's partners.
Overall, it is just a simple comedy and remind me of how people tries their hardest to reach their goals and it really is just satisfying to watch. If slice of life is your thing, you might enjoy this series as something different.

I have recently finished the whole series, and I must rate it 10/10 for such a touching story. Season 1 initially wouldn't catch much attention, but after all the story buildup, season 2 is a blast. Koro-sensei is definitely a sensei many would like to have. Not only it has comedy to laugh at, the whole story-line is well carried out, except for slight rush at the ending. Still, the ending has it's proper impact it made my eyes water.
I am particularly amazed at the character development. From the normal plain looking student to main characters in class 3-E, they are all well developed, instead
...
of black or colored shadows or still images for the school mates or classmates, each student in the class of 28 and even their schoolmates and rivals has proper airing space for development. The art is also well drawn, unlike those of naruto shippuden in the later episodes.
The mix of genres for this anime is just great. I really enjoyed both seasons, and the anime is really worth the time.

I enjoy most of the slice of life anime, and this is one of the unique ones with magic and witch elements. This anime is funny, healing and really worth the time if you are a fan of slice of life.
Watching this is very soothing, just helps you relax from time to time. The visuals are also very suitable for slice of life anime such as this.
Characters are also quite funny and very heartwarming.
This is not comparable with slice of life anime like non non biyori which is much better, this has more of "harry potter" element and has much knowledge regarding witch craft.
...
The whale island is much amazing as well, reminded me of rune factory game from Nintendo Wii, and has many enjoyable fantasy elements. Recommended for those who enjoy both the slice of life and fantasy elements.
I enjoyed the series very much and would give 8/10 overall.

I watched about 18 episodes before deciding to drop the series. This story is mainly about when one likes someone, everything about the person just seem nice, which truly displays the idiom "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder". Unlike the typical romance series where the guy/girl overcome uncertainties to chase after a girl/boy he/she likes, this is mainly about a very nice and huge guy getting a cute girlfriend and their experiences.
To be honest it's worse than the slice of life I tend to enjoy, such as non non biyori or Flying witch. It lacks content for me to continue
...
on and finish the whole series. But for those who enjoy very very very peaceful, very high level slice of life romance, this might be your cup of tea.
