Take Crows and add Steins:Gate, then fuck them both up and you get this garbage.
So much potential and no delivery.
The MC is a nonfactor just there for the timetravel gimmickand to repeat things and act as an explainer to the audience of what the rest do around him. this shows feels so condescending...
The other characters range in likeability and are mostly just narration pawns, but do seem to have superhuman strenght without any explanation or exploration of why. In that same note nobody seems to want to teach the MC how to fight, anchoring him as an useless medium for the story. Very strange choices

I want into Aku no Hana by a friends recommendation and without big expectations. I ended up liking every little thing about it.
A true masterpiece, which I feel like I don't need to spoil with my personal opinions, it's that good, just watch it. THe rotoscopic animation is a hit or miss for most people, didn't bother me the slightest, as not only it had a fresh feeling, but allowed for much better facial expression than what animation can normally provide. But there is an argument to be made that it isn't really anime as such, but who cares, whatever it is, it's a must watch. |
