after reading the entire first volume i came out of this disappointed

this manga feels like a bad excuse to show some anime girl titties
i'd personally be fine with that if the humor weren't so mediocre it could put a snorlax to sleep and some of the characters being sexualized were not FUCKING CHILDREN
there was literally no story and the characters were one-note caricatures that weren't fun to watch

i spent money on this shit thinking it would be a fun side-story about a franchise i kinda liked
came out of it with some below average fap material

This anime made me wanna get back into watching anime again.
After years away from the anime comunity, this weird amalgamation of genres caught my interest.
Maid cafe wars, how can't you love that idea?

Even liking this show i still came out of it with some mixed feelings.
It felt inconsistent, the first episode was strange and high-concept with a quite outstanding fight scene, just to follow that up with a mediocre at best gambling episode that doesn't really add anything to the show.
I feel like all the filler kinda kills the show, if it were slightly more serialized it could have turned a fine show into a ... great one.
I also hate how sometimes it doesn't take itself seriously, like, don't get me wrong, it doesn't happen all the time, but, when it does, it's so obnoxious. The characters might be in some dangerous situation and then someone might say something dumb like: "OH NO! We are in the middle of a war? But i just did my nails, i don't want them to break so soon :(", but the can be overlooked as it mostly happens on filler episodes.
To be honest, if i were to recommend this show to someone i'd say just watch the first, third, sixth and seventh episodes, as i feel the rest seems to be either irrelevant, boring or the eighth episode(aka: the worst thing human life has created)
Like i said, it's a mixed bag, but when it hits it goes hard. The two-parter almost made me tear up a little and the ending to it felt satifying and deserved, the series could have ended there and it would still be great.

the quality for this is surprisingly high, the animation can look gorgeous and flow super well and the sound track is criminally amazing(seriously, they need to put it on a cd or something), but i also feel like when the scenes aren't that important you can feel it in every single aspect as the quality fall down a building with no one to hold them episode 4 style.
The melancholic jazz from the ending paired up with the visuals give me a feeling unlike any other, the way the wave moves as the final notes play always sends a chill down my spine.

As i write this the most recent episode is episode eight(that sucks in a way i cannot put into words, it's horrible) and, with only 4 episodes left, i am scared for the future of this series.
Sure, half of it might have been great so far, but a lot of it was hot garbage, way too much to be able to call this a "must watch" anime.
If you enjoy fun and dumb stuff, this series is perfect for you, but if you don't enjoy watching something with a break-neck pace and extreme dips in quality then i recommend you to go as far as you can away from this.

I do believe this could turn out great, if it plays its cards right in a few years this could become a classic.
But, as it stands, it's just slightly above mediocrity.
