0Emo guy gets trapped in a vrmmorpg (virtual reality massive multi-player online role playing game) and has to beat the boss to get out or die.
Story: 5/10
I wish I could say it was more than what's above but honestly, it's not. The idea of being stuck in a video do or die is unoriginal and the story does little to compensate for that. It had a lot of potential and could have deserved all the attention it got but unfortunately imo it didn't. The first two episodes got me hooked, it started out GREAT. Kirito starts playing SAO, meeting a new friend and then
...
bam he finds out that he can't log out and it was all a scheme from the game maker. Everyone has to beat the game or die. But all of a sudden he decides to go solo (in a mmo ? -.-)because everyone thinks hes a cheater for being a beta tester. Instead of explaining that he didn't know about the first boss because it changed, he walks out. That's where things start to go downhill because the pacing suddenly gets rushed and uneeded characters are put in to traumatize Kirito and make the story seem meaningful or something. In reality it doesn't really change him because hes already all depressed to start with. Some episodes seemed like fillers to me where they could have done something to contribute to the story but it just ends up as another episode where a girl falls in love with Kirito then pretty much gets thrown in the trash can because they're just extras. A one time kind of thing. I honestly thought the second half was very unnecessary. Instead of suddenly skipping from floor 1 to floor 50 then (You know) they could have used the 25 episodes to fill in some plot holes and make the series seem not so rushed. Since they didn't it probably would have been better to end it at episode 14. That's how unnecessary i thought the second half was.
Characters 5/10:
You got your average unconfident 15 year old (or was he 14?) guy who likes to play video games. I know, how special, well that special guy is our MC. Magnificent. He's gloomy most of the time, pretty kind and at desperate moments can be really cheesy. Unfortunately he pretty much stays like that throughout the whole series. Then you got our typical Tsundere Asuna who falls in love with him just like 70% of the cast does. She's doing all the things Tsundere's do. Act mean, then nice. Cool. After that comes a girl named Silicia who falls in love with him for doing a good deed and we don't see her till like 15 eps later. Great. The rest of the supports are pretty much like that. Awesome. Except for that red haired guy. Yeah i dont remember his name because he appeared in like 2 episodes and came back 15 episodes later for 30 secs. Fascinating. Oh yeah you can't forget about Suguha. Kirito's cousin who has a crush on him (not creepy at all), has double g boobs (oh la la la this is not a complaint) and likes to create uneeded drama(but this is -.-). Magnificent. Lastly our villain in the second half. Im not even going to start because you all know what villains like to do. Capture the MC's loved ones then wait to be defeated by the MC. Amazing. Maybe im being a bit harsh on the characters because despite not developing much they were pretty enjoyable especially Asuna and Kirito's romance but overall just not great. For being entertaining i give them a 7, for being characters i give them a 5.
Art: The art is actually very good well it was made in 2012. So no duh but still. The landscapes were like dum bee do bee dum. All medieval fairytale like which is good because that's the whole point. No weird hair (game characters dont count those are cool CX), 5 meter long legs and cool video game outfits. What more could you ask for? 9/10
Soundtrack 8/10: I really liked the soundtrack. I usually skip the openings and endings but for SAO i listened to it twice (well its better than nothing). What i liked most was the whimsical music that made it seem like a fairytale. It was awesome. Some of the battle music could have been more epic but its battle music who cares as long as it builds suspense.
Enjoyment 7/10: Despite all my critism i actually liked SAO i mean when im watching anime im not in critic node im in my weird kaelynn self mode (basically childish mode) :P The characters are really entertaining and watching Asuna's + Kirito's romance is also enjoyable (Even though i dont really like romance) . Best thing is when scenes go over the top with being dramatic and end up being cheesy, you get a good laugh. If you just want some entertainment watch SAO or if you don't care about plotholes n all that reviewing stuff. If you're just a strict wuss then shoo! lol jk.. this is long. phew.

Ahhh Durarara funny how i always miss the third Ra.
Story: This is one of those episodic animes. Wait don't run away before i even finish LOL. Though it is an episodic anime it really is good and every episode basically is on different character perspectives, which i will go into more depth later on. The theme of Durarara is a bit modern day-ish with a hint of fantasy/mythology which sounds a bit odd but it actually does blend alot better than you'd think. It also does focus on the whole "gang" type of thing so if you don't like the whole idea maybe this
...
anime just isn't for you. Mikado a boy from a peaceful countryside neighborhood is bored with his life and when gets an invitation from a friend comes to Tokyo. Sounds like a typical sort of anime about a guy moving to a big city to change his life huh. Well it sort of is but trust me there's alot more to it. The story has quite a bit of twists, some are like whoa man i did not see that coming and some are just like well that was a possibility which made it that more suspenseful and thrilling.
Art: The art for me was nothing amazing but it was good, clean smooth and the tone fit the mood just like normal good art would. There wasn't much to complain yet there wasn't much to praise about either.
Sound: Okay first off I'm totally a Yuya fan so i might be a bit biased about the ending theme. The music generally set the mood but the opening and ending themes are what I really enjoyed. The first opening theme (Uragiri No Yuuyake) definitely had a sorta city gang vibe to it and to me fit Durarara perfectly. The ending theme, YUYAA! Trust me~ ok enough fangirling LOL. Im not exactly sure if it fit the whole gang theme because the only words i could understand were trust me, call me and my dear but you'll definitely love it i mean who doesn't love Yuya. Er sorry bout that.
Character: This is one of those animes where you'll love the characters more than the plot. The newcomer Mikado, Kida the "even though they're smiling they're hurting inside" kind of guy, Ishihara the biggest troll on the planet, Shizuo the guy with the temper and many many more. At first it'll seem like the characters are all randomly introduced and not connected to each other at all but piece by piece the puzzle will start to make a picture. Every character has some secrets, some shocking , some you're just like well i saw that coming but nonetheless it's just so interesting learning about their darkest secrets, their past and why they matter to the story. Every stranger you see has a story to them, some bad some good. And yes i got that from the anime LOL.
Enjoyment: To be honest even though i thought Durarara was brilliant I just can't get used to the whole gang sort of theme, in fact i hate the whole gang theme like in Baccano. Its like me with Meccha I mean i loved code geass but the Mecha (2 c's or 1? lol) part totally killed all the awesome moments. Though that's just my opinion it shouldn't really affect whether you choose to watch Durarara or not because thats just my personal taste. Regardless of which genre you like you should still give Durarara a try. I hated the whole gang theme yet never regretted watching Durarara in fact i was happy i did.
Overall: Overall Durarara was a great blend of modern day anime with a taste of supernatural in it and all the twists just makes you keep watching to find out what happens next especially with the little cliffhangers at the end of each episode. The characters were all well developed and keeps you entertained throughout the series. And more importantly Yuya's ending theme.. LOL i stopped myself before i could fangirl again. Thanks for reading it if you did and if you found it helpful yaaay but if you didn't well then I'll just have to find a way to improve next time. Thanks regardless though. :D

Warning beforehand Mirai Nikki is sort of a gory anime so if you have a weak stomach well then watch invite a bucket to accompany you.
Story: The concept of a survival game with cellphones is not completely original but Mirai Nikki does have these few creative twitches that makes up for it. The story itself can be a bit confusing especially towards to end but the general idea is to kill and win since it is a survival game after all. Except one problem Yuki is weak and yes a bit well ALOT of a coward. The story revolves around him and Yuno depending on
...
each other more sort of Yuki depending on Yuno though. There's sabotage, sacrifice, love, betrayal and at parts have you wanting to lock all of your windows and hide under your bed. This anime seriously plays with your mind sometimes though it's all worth it.
Art: The art is pretty good. Not horrible, not amazing. The author did do a good job on drawing Yuki and Yuno. Just looking at Yuki you can already tell how much of a coward he is. As for Yuno i think it perfectly fits her personality her bright pink hair in piggy tails really makes her look just like one of the moe characters in anime ... this is the part where you sorta think back and question your existence. LOL.
Sound: I loved the opening themes and the second ending theme was amazing. The lyrics generally fits the theme though sound wise it sorta reminds me of Greek opera. LOL not that its a bad thing I mean who doesn't love a little opera now and then. The music throughout the series do help set the mood like when there's a sad scene a pretty sad song will come on. I don't think the music is one of Mirai Nikki's strong point though.
Character: Now this is definitely the best thing about Mirai Nikki. The characters are imo very well developed mainly focusing on Yuno and Yuki here. Though the other characters are very important too, you wouldn't believe how many characters in this series do not seem like how they are at first glance. Yuki who is weak (and has you shaking your head of how pathetic he is sometimes) and Yuno who is strong, smart and madly in love with Yuki. You'd think someone would be taken advantage of here though it might not be the person you had in mind. Yuno is definitely the most interesting character for me theres so many words to describe her, bipolar, schizophrenic, psychopathic but to me shes like the yandere from heaven LOL though i doubt any yandere would be in heaven.
Enjoyment: After the first episode i couldn't stop watching it. It may seem a bit ordinary at first but dont fall for it , its a trap lol the character development and interesting twists just keep you engaged and intrigued through the whole series.
Overall: Overall I would give it a 10 just because i enjoyed it so much but even i must admit there are a few cliche scenes here and there. Im telling you if you want something suspenseful, thrilling, action packed, and psychological then ding ding ding we got a winner! LOL mirai nikki is the perfect anime for you. Enjoy the series if you decide to watch it oh and remember the bucket ;)

Rainbow Nisha Rokubou No Shichinin is in my opinion a breath-taking series.
Story: For me theres two parts of the story the one where they try to survive in jail, guarded by a cowardly, awful guy with nothing but bromance to keep them going and the second half where they meet new challenges in life not particular int the same environment. The first half was amazing how they all try to stick together and in the world of the cruel having friends is a basic need otherwise what else can keep you going in that terrible jail cell. Though some parts can be cliche and have
...
you going like seriously? it really teaches you how important friends are , how you depend on one another and how big of a need your sense of belonging is.
The second half is pretty much still about bromance though with them finding their dreams & goals also romance can come in between the way of friendship but in the bromance takes all. Rainbow had me crying on the second episode and to me was waay more meaningful then something like Clannad or Anohana though of course its just my humble opinion feel free to disagree.
Characters: I think the characters are the main reason i loved Rainbow in fact the characters are so important that they make up the story. Its all about how one interacts what they do and how they keep their brotherly bond together through the harsh environment. An-chan is the brother of the group like the alpha dog in a pack though of course they all are equal to one another. An-chan is the person who teaches them to not give up and to be strong. Mario and them of course helps and teach An-chan new things like friendship and love er in sorta homosexual way i guess but i just use the word bromance lol i really like that word. Each of the seven guys are very different and have different situations. One is smart, one is tall and strong, one is very kind, one is very small yet has a very big ego, one is the one who keeps the group together. Its so interesting seeing how all the different personalities work so well with each other.
Art : The art for me is very good, the one can be dull sometimes which matches perfectly with the dark, miserable , sad theme. The eyes aren't ridiculously huge and legs aren't tremendously long. The author does a very good job on drawing people that match with the personalities. Like if a person is very perverted & barbarous then they will look just like their personality
Soundtrack: I really liked the ost though sometimes you wonder where this sudden loud metal music came from without warning. The lyrics match the story very well. The themes are very sad and can express all the hardships these seven guys have gone through and easily sets the mood and atmosphere. It also shows a kind of determination and passion.
Enjoyment: i really enjoyed the series it kept me going one more episode, one more episode every night wanting them to get out of jail already and makes you wonder what would they do if they did. The characters backgrounds are very sad it makes you empathize and understand the characters more. Like i said before this series had me sobbing on the second episode.
Overall: I don't think I'll find a series very soon that gets me hooked right on episode one and has me sobbing so soon in the series mind that i've only cried for one other series in 50. Im warning you though there are some scenes that make me wanna gag also if you don't like anything sad, or if looking for comedy this series is not for you though give it a try you never know.

Imho Death note is a Masterpiece. Very thought provoking.
Story/Plot: Most of you have probably read the synopsis so thats already taken care of. Death Note is a very thought provoking anime and the story just keeps you intrigued through the whole series. The thing i love about it, is how it views on both the protagonist and antagonist's perspective and way of thinking. Another thing is that you really have your own opinion on who is the protagonist or antagonist depending what moral you support. It just keeps you on the tip of your chair wanting to know who is right or who is
...
wrong if there even is a right and wrong.
Character: Funny thing is the characters remind me alot of Tom and Jerry how they two always bash and go at each other sometimes the cat driving the mouse into a corner and sometimes the mouse driving to cat into a corner. Its very interesting on how the two characters think so alike and have the same intentions of justice yet have different methods sometimes written either bad guy or good guy on their face. You're always going to cheer for the one who you believe is right and since Light and L are both equally intelligent & think alike it just flares up your curiosity on who's perspective is justice.
Soundtrack: I think the sound track is just amazing how it blends in with the story so well and creates such a Death note like mood and atmosphere somethings sounding like gibberish opera LOL . I loved it and thought it was literally one of the main reasons why i loved Death Note.
Art: The art for me is very good though its not something amazing but at least they don't have the ridiculously huge eyes that scares the jeepers out of you or the tremendously long exaggerated legs. Another thing is people don't walk around in hot pink hair and people viewing it as normal though sometimes you just gotta love purple. The author did an outstanding job on drawing the characters of how Light and L can loo kand act so different yet are so alike. The characters are drawn sort of darkish if you know what i mean just not like happy go-getto and i thought that it really matched with the theme.
Overall: Death Note was very enjoyable for me up until the second arc that is but that's out of the question. I don't think there's another anime out there that just blends so well together like Death Note does and although some part just repeats the strategies used its very amusing watching Light and L try to win over the other without even knowing each other in the first place. You should definitely at least give it a try I promise you won't regret it and if you do then I don't know you LOL thanks for sitting through this awfully long and at parts boring review!

Inuyasha is one of my favorite animes. Every character has their own unique personality and fighting style i loved the characters more than the story. If your into action , adventure , shounen , comedy , supernatural , romance and demons than this anime is definitely for you. If your into shoujo , slice of life , romance , school than chances are this anime is not for you but no matter which genre your into you should definitely at least give Inuyasha a try. The art (in my opinion) is alot better than Rumiko's earlier works actually the art is really good and one
...
of my prettiest anime girl is in Inuyasha. The soundtracks are amazing and each have their theme song which match their personalities so well. Just try listening to Kikyo's theme song its so tragic yet beautiful. The only thing i disliked about this anime was one of the main characters though thats only my opinion, everyone has their own! Overall, i think Inuyasha was a very enjoyable anime and that you should definitely at least give it a try!
