Heads up this is my first review ever. I am currently rewatching Bakemonogatari because for some reason I can't remember anything about it when I tried thinking about it. As I remember as of writing this review I am on episode 9 so forgive me if I make a mistake when writing this it's been about 4 years since I last watched it. I am a huge monogatari fan it is in my top 3 anime ever.

The Monogatari series is one of the most unique series ever when I first watched bakemonogatari I gave it a 8 because of it's animation and because crab girl ... biased. But now I'm watching it again I have no clue whats going off half the time?! Monogatari to me is a anime you have to binge a arc at a time if you don't you will forget what happens in that arc. Heres the thing I would much rather recommend bunny girl senpai to a newer anime fan I don't blame people for think bunny girls better because bunny girl has more of a appeal then monogatari.

I just finished Suruga Monkey and for the first half it was so confusing. Same with all the arcs.I know you're not suppose to pay real attention to the plot but it makes you wanna pay attention more.
I'm going to stop complaining and talk about the pros.
1. The animation is some of the best even to this day. I genuinely wanna know the budget for this show. When I first watch bakemonogatari I also shrugged it off when I saw the animation because I only watched big shounen at the time and I didn't notice the budget of the animation. But the way they us blood as a different colour is so unique.
2. The end of each arc. At the end of every bakemonogatari arc there is usually a plot twist that is nowhere near predictable. I remember the first time I watched mayoi snail and not being able to predict what happens at the end.
3. Senjougahara. No reason but she's one of the reasons I love monogatari.

Overrall I'm remaining my score of a 8 but I am putting as mixed feelings because if you are a newer anime fan don't watch this it's to heavy of dialogue, it's really weird and it's confusing. I suggest for you to watch Rascal does not dream of bunny girl senpai instead and maybe after try watching this. The way I think of bakemonogatari is getting a bunch of character tropes and explaining how they get that way. The score is more of a 7.8 but whatever sorry if this is really bad it's my first time writing a review.
