A good anime if you like anything that's bubbly, light and easy to watch. The characters are well written, although they do seem a bit too scared of death for immortals. Do not watch if you want heavy drama, dramatic tension or anything: this is first and foremost a comedy, and an educational one, just like Cells at Work. The character design is on point though, and I really love Unabara-San. Overall a good anime, but one that is very likely to be forgotten in just a few months, as with most seasonal anime.
The art and sound design were both really plain though: not ... bad, really, but nothing too impressive either. It's to be excepted of such anime, so I can't really complain much.

Mushoku Tensei...It's just like a beautiful lemon pie, except once you bite into it, you realize "Hey ! That's not lemon ! That's piss !". It has wonderful world-building, excellent character design and good characterization (for half the characters at least), super impressive art and animation, it could truly be a masterpiece of anime.
What's wrong then ? Well, as an isekai, it works really well, the premise is interesting and well written. However, it tries to be an ecchi... While having its main character be the lowliest piece of trash ever. I had some hope at first that he was going to learn ... and grow, but it just doesn't seem that way. If you're sensible to any kind of non-con, sexual aggression or harassment, pedophilia or even incest, I wouldn't recommend you watching it. It's a shame such a stupid subject spoils what could have been a masterpiece. It really suffers from passive sexism as well: all female characters so far (apart from one, whom we only see in the last episode) are created *for* Rudy, and not for anything else. They are sexualized by Rudy, by their character design, by their writing... it's a shame really.
Hopefully, this all tends to stop once the story really starts going. Starting from episode 8, the gross sexualization of women and sexual harassments played as joke stops, and that's when the show really starts showing its strength: with brilliant world-building, clever humour, and breathtaking animation.
All in all, I cannot recommend this show with peace of mind. Should you want to watch it, be aware of those triggers, and do not hesitate to skip the most violent scenes: they are not worth anything.
