I'll be honest idk why this has a high rating at all. One of the most boring MCs I've seen in a hot minute, with the same "I can't use the main power system in my world" gimmick that seems to be so popular recently. Meets the same "you can't use __ so I'm better than you" that's also present in every series like this. Immediately shoves harem in asap. The art is fine I guess, but even though it looks nice it still feels like its missing something.
Character design is boring visual novel garbage, reminds me of a mobile gacha game. Music
...
isn't really bad but its just bland which is a bad thing in any piece of media because being forgettable is bad. The story is so boring, without spoiling, its just "climb the tower because I told you to." Which is normally fine, like I love naruto, onepiece, black clover etc, but I mean they literally just want to climb a tower. Again the MC is SO boring like, I would literally bully them.
TLDR: It has the same tropes as every other fantasy anime with a mc that can't use magic. Only difference is that the other shows that use this cliche actually have interesting characters, side goals, unique fun art. It looks fine but still feels lacking, the music is okay but unmemorable (bad), Basic ass story too.

I'm like five mins into the last episode writing this, very few complaints other than the typical weird shonen fetish BS in this. Imo pt 1 of this season was boring af probably because I just don't like Sylphie's character, but pt 2 hits you like the isekai truck does. Shed a few tears on one episode in particular, and came very very close multiple other times. From a writing standpoint, I can't really think of a shonen that portrays grief, sadness, and so many other human emotions and family love so damn well. As someone who related to some of things characters were saying
...
and feeling, I can say I've said some of those things and been in those situations before and it HIT. If you want a fix of action and laughs, this is not the anime for you, although it looks whimsical at first glance. This show had my jaw dropped in shock multiple times an EPISODE and will have you crying, literally the "ball up, try not to cry, cry a lot" meme. All this is why I gave it a nine, would've been a 10 probably if not for literal softcore hentai scenes.
Pretty much the same level of quality as in season 1, at least I couldn't tell much of a difference. Which is fine, the art style and colors slap, the music goes hard (for medieval themed music), and although there isn't that much, the action scenes are as creative as any other. One thing that I did notice though was the voice acting, at least in the sub,. Season 1 had fine voice acting, literally nothing wrong at all, but maybe because of how emotional this season was, ALL of the cast really shined, like I FELT what they were saying and I ain't even Japanese.
Again I really wish they didn't do so many perverted "gags" like this show could be so much more without going as far. Literally why are you showing me softcore hentai one episode and making me cry wanting to call my family the next bruh.

If you are looking for a typical turn the brain off action anime, this is the show for you. Great music/sounds in general, Stupid literally impossible but still amazing fight choreography, amazing shots/use of a camera like effect. Just overall very well produced. So far, nothing really serious, just a show about bros being dudes and kicking the shit out of each other although there is a very slightly deeper plot (again nothing crazy here, just typical story of a brawler learning how to be more human) but it does give the show an overall wholesome theme with plenty of action still. MC is pretty
...
much the same generic character that's in most shonen, side cast is fun but also pretty milk toast typical side cast.
Based off this season alone, this is a pretty solid anime. Similar to Tokyo Revengers but less serious as of right now. Imo Revengers tried to be both light hearted and serious/gritty (which is hard to take serious with literal middle schoolers idgaf what you say) and that's why it fell off for me personally. This show has a similar flaw but snice its less serious, I think they get away with it.
TLDR: if you're looking for a comedy/action show this is it. It's pretty stupid if you take it at face value but its pretty good for what it is. Funny, somewhat wholesome, and action packed show with a tsundere edgy boi MC, fun side cast, and themes of brotherhood among friends. If we're talking about straight hands, no cursed magic energy BS, then I'd say this show takes the cake when it comes to fights because of all the crazy, dynamic, and unique shots/"camera" use, for lack of a better word

Criminally Underrated anime, first few episodes start pretty typical run of the mill supernatural anime set in feudal? Japan. Very similar in setting at least to Inuyasha, and once it picks up, each episode is has you anticipating the next. Each character is unique with their own conflicts, well though back story, and personal motivations so you will definitely find one to attach to. Initially thought of this as a anime with an intended audience of younger children but the show quickly subverted my expectations and quite literally had my jaw dropped. Its been a solid few months since I've seen this, so hopefully this
...
review is fairly unbiased.
I went into this show not really expecting much and after the first few episodes I thought I was right. I stuck with it because I was bored at work and thought it was pretty looking/wholesome at least and as the season went on I was surprised by it time and time again. I'll start with what I disliked about the show first.
Cons: Personally, as an young adult, I don't like having main characters of a show I'm watching to be actual children, sometimes its fine but that's mostly a personal thing. To be fair, there is literally nothing childish about this and I would not watch any child watch it. Next, like others have said, the show starts pretty mediocre and slow paced but again it quickly makes up for it. Another thing is the pervy anime tropes, like I said the characters are literally children and even if it's "totally a 10000 year old spirit bro" and taking place in feudal times, that gives me the ick and WILL dock points. Another thing is that certain plot elements seem kinda forced and make you think "literally why is this happening like no rational person would do this." But in the show's defense they are children and people are inherently dumb so I'll let it slide. Also the power scaling is dumb and makes no sense but its anime so who cares.
Pros: Firstly, the opening is an absolute, certified, gym banger. Next, ALL the visuals from color to art style, to backgrounds and more were amazing. They were incredibly detailed, vibrant, and fairly unique. Next, the character designs were all pretty fire and the little guys are all cute (iykyk). Story is pretty milk toast at first but slowly gets deeper and more interesting, still nothing crazy but interesting enough to be unique. The main thing that draws me is each the characters' individual motivations, internal struggles, and interactions with the others in the world. This show does a fantastic point of showing all sides of human emotion and thoughts, def had me tearing up at times and laughing at others. If you enjoy supernatural action adventure anime taking place in the past, or those that take heavy inspiration from Japanese folklore like yokai, give it a shot. If you have have a short attention span, go away.

So first off I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this rating. but I'd say the peaks of piece are up there among the best shows and they are very spread apart (too much boring bs I don't really enjoy).
The story, world building, and characters/design of One Piece are phenomenal. But the pacing is god awful the build up/milking in every single episode is extremely frustrating and its too the point that I can't really excuse or overlook it. Without saying any spoilers, I started watching a couple of years ago after running out of stuff to watch and remembering I loved it as
...
a kid. I started watching from the beginning and because of how much information/backstory/story beats were repeated every episode, I decided to watch the sub on fast forward and essentially just read (going back to normal speed during fights or moments that generally interested me, which were incredible). Then I decided to stop being dumb once I caught up and just read the manga online.
On the plus side, because so much stuff was repeated I definitely understood all the important story moments, the animation/art quality significantly really improved over the years it's been running, and again the world/story are incredible still. But the manga is just better tbh, probably like 8/10 minimum.
watch it if you need a really long show to watch and enjoy the shonen genre (naruto, hunter x hunter, etc type)

Ngl I don't understand why this is rated so low. It's definitely more slice of life than I thought, but mononogatari has a somewhat unique world/universe, at least one I haven't seen ever before, with interesting characters and an interesting plot. As of episode 10, the show seems to be more about getting closure/dealing with one's struggles, grief, and moving forward, more so than revenge, but I do enjoy the way the story is being told. There is a lot of setup and imo it's a little confusing at first because on certain episodes there's bombs of information dropped at once, but mostly they space
...
out new info fairly well. I thought the heroine was going to be another bland character that might as well be supporting cast because there isn't much interaction with the hero but recent episodes have changed my mind and set up a n interesting dichotomy between the MCs. The plot/world building get a solid 8 from me while the writing/scripts of the episodes get a 9. I'm over how so many anime have to leave episodes on cliffhangers, and although mononogatari does sometimes, it's executed well so it doesn't get annoying.
The visuals/animation are nothing crazy but the action sequences are choregraphed well (looks like a dope fight) and kinda look better than slice of life sections (imo not a bad thing because both look fine nonetheless.) The music is again nothing crazy but still pretty solid, particularly the action music whips and is pretty funky imo. The non action scenes are funny enough to where they are still entertaining so that's a good thing imo.
Again, why this show getting shat on so hard? It's pretty entertaining, has a diverse interesting cast with good writing & interactions/history between certain cast members, with a solid overarching plot, a somewhat unique world that I can't really compare to any anime I remember, and multiple substories revealed slowly throughout. Would recommend if you like action/romance genre

Never watched the parent series since the tone seems to be the polar opposite of this spinoff but this show quickly became one of my favorite 12 episode anime. Started off with good premise and decent worldbuilding and then the story took off and had good plot twists. great sounds and decent soundtrack, art is visually pleasing and not terribly hard on the eyes. Honestly the only reason this isn't a 10/10 for me is because i wanted more, I wished certain story elements got fleshed out more and I would binge a series that takes place Hyoubuu and Tsubomi's past in WW2.
