The premise if you don't know it:
A bunch of high schoolers and their teachers get trapped on an isolated island after their ship sinks in a storm. Immediately, they get attacked by crazy natives and some of the students get abducted. The remaining students try to rescue the abducted students and try to find a way to leave the island.
This manga only delivers on violence and shock factor, but not on anything else. The characters are uninteresting, the dialogues feel mundane and most scenes are unnecessarily long. 1/4 of this manga is violence and 3/4 is "what will we do next?". Even if you
...
like to read gore, you won't be happy with this manga because it gets so boring between the crazy scenes.
The only good thing about this manga is the art. It is pretty decent considering everything else sucks.

I'm not even gonna write about the overall plot, because it's so generic you already know it. Teenager gets isekai'd into a fantasy world and becomes an advendturer. We already know the drill. There are hundreds of these type of storys. What sucks so much about this anime is the protagonist. I've rarely seen a character who is such an unlikable and annoying piece of shit.
Design wise he's just another copy of Kirito. Personality wise he's a fucking incel. Let me explain why. In episode one he meets a slave trader who asks him if he wants to buy one of his slaves, a
...
beautiful young girl. He immediatlely wants to buy her, not to save her or to have her as his adventurer partner, but simply because he wants to fuck her. Unfortnuatly for him, he doesn't have any money. So, he risk his life by killing monsters and selling the items they dropped. But that takes way to long and he only has a few days time to buy her. The next best thing for him to do is to kill bandits and collect their bounties. And that's exactly what he does. He goes into a bandit hideout at night and just kills everyone who's in there. In this world, runaway slaves automatically become marked as bandits. So, he could have killed innocent people. But he doesn't care about that.
After collecting enough money he buys the slave girl and forces himself on her, the same day. First he groped her breasts, pretending that he's just washing her. Then he ordered her to take of her underwear and to lay on the bed. After that he asks her if he can fuck her. She says she's fine with it, but it is so obvious that she's not. She just says yes because she's his slave and is scared that he's gonna hurt her if she says no.
It's so cringy to listen to the protagonists monologue while he's sexually assaulting the slave girl or thinking about assaulting her. It's so obviuos that he's an incel who could never get a girl the normal way. Redo of Healer is way better in this aspect. Because the protagonist lost his sanity and became so insane that he doesn't give a fuck besides getting revenge on the people who tormented him. But the Kirito copy is just a horny boy without any morals.

I found Monster when I scrolled through the Top Manga List on MAL in early 2020 and noticed it because of it's high placement, high score and simple name. Without thinking I put it in my "plan to read" list, because it obviously had to be good. Fast forward two and a half years and I still haven't started reading it. Simply because I forgot about it. Then around a month ago a few Monster related videos started to appear on my TikTok for you page. Most of them were simple top ten lists of peoples favorite anime, manga and characters. I noticed that Johan
...
Liebert was the favorite antagonist of many people in the anime and manga genre. After a little digging on TikTok I found a few edits that highlight how great of an antagonist Johan Liebert supposedly is. So, I decided to finally read Monster and was really looking forward to it.
People say it has a slow start so I knew I just had to keep reading. I thought this "slow start" would only affect the first two volumes. But I was wrong. After reading volume three and four I thought:" Wow, this Manga is really taking it's time. But I guess it's just setting up the really good part of the story so once it's here it can pop off. It sure isn't so critically acclaimed for nothing." So, I kept reading and reading. One volume after the other. After volume 10 (86 chapter) I had enough. I read more than half of Monster and I still didn't like it. It was alright, but nothing more than that. I was so disappointed. The Manga I had such high expectations for turned out to be boring.
Johan Liebert, the main antagonist, the charachter some people call the best antagonist in all of anime and manga, barley has any screen time. I thought he would be someone like Light Yagami or Lelouch Vi Britannia. A smart, cunning and charming villain. But he's not. He's a psychopath and serial killer who wants to see humanity go extinct for no apparent reason. The reader is told that he's an highly intelligent and charming invidual, who can pull things off most people could not even imagine to do. But the reader never sees him to any of these great acts. In fact, we don't even know how he does them. We only hear about them by side characters who are only there to tell the reader how insane Johan is. The great thing about Death Note is that we know how Light Yagami pulled everything of he did. Imagine instead of seeing that, some side character told you what he did and how insane he is, without even explaining how he did it, he just did it. That's how I felt while following the character of Johan Liebert.
Dr. Tenma, the Protagonist is a likabale character, but nothing special. He's your average good guy character who couldn't kill someone even if he tried because he hesitates to much. Even though he's the protagonist, we often don't see him. There are so many chapters where he doesn't make any appearances. Every volume has new characters we follow for a while and learn more about. Until their story arcs ends and they get tossed aside. That's nothing special for many stories, but Monster goes from on character to another in a short amount of time and most of them are so forgetable. Especially when the protagonist only interacts with them for a little bit.
The story of Monster is basically Dr. Tenma trying to catch Johan in order to stop him from killing more people. While he tries to do that he meets new people and helps them in various ways. Sometimes he spents an entire volume with them and sometimes only a chapter or two. Imagine in One Piece, after Luffy meets the members of his crew one by one and helps them, he just goes away and we never sees them again. That's how it kinda feels to read Mosnter. You meet so many people, but how many of these characters are really memeorable and impact the story? Not many in my opinion.
In conclusion, I think Monster is alright. It's a somewhat interesting read if you don't mind the slow pacing, not seeing the protagonist and antagonist for a long time and are not bothered by not learning how the genius antagonist pulls off the things he does. I personally think Monster is insanely overrated and I can't understand how it even got this popular.

I only read 10 chapters of this Manhwa and I usually wouldn't write a review of a series I haven't read at least 1/4 of. But I think in the case of Killing Stalking 10 chapters are enough. This review contains spoilers about the first 10 chapters.
Story 2/10:
The story is very simple. A young college student breaks into the house of his crush (the antagonist), becasue he's a weirdo, and finds by coincidende a woman who is held captive. He tries to help the woman but gets knocked out by his crush from behind. From then on the protagonist is being held captive as
...
well. He finds out his crush is a psychopath who enjoys to torture and kill people. In a moment of fear he confesses his feelings to his crush. Because of him being very weak and obediant the antagonist breaks the protagonists legs and keeps him around to cook and clean. After a week or two they act more casual towards each other and even sexually please each other. But the protagonist still wants to leave and the antagonist still doesn't trust him. Even after a failed break out attempted, the antagonist doesn't want to kill the protagonist because he took some weird liking to him
That's the foundation of the story, chapter 1 through 8. Chapter 9 and 10 are them playing a game with a kidnapped guy who they kill afterwards.
Art 5/10:
The art is alright. Not bad not particularly good.
Character 1/10:
The 2 main characters are some of the worst characters I've ever come across in any type of media. They are so uncomfortbale to follow and both of them pissed me off while reading.
Protagonist:
He's a stalker, a loser and a cry baby. Pathetic is the only word that comes to mind when I see him. He acts like a little bitch the whole time and every time he tries to pull off an escape he fails and tries to seduce the antagonist or begs for forgivness.
Antagonist:
A psychopath who is apparently homophobic but makes out with the protagonist and that dude from chapter 9-10. He's fucking werid. He's pretty much unreadable and his actions seem almost random.
Basically, both main characters are unlikable weirdos who make you uncomfortable and will you piss you off.
Enjoment 1/10:
Becasue of the lack of a real story and horrible characters you might think I felt bored while reading this Manhwa. And that's partially true. I felt a bit bored. But mainly I felt uncomfortable. There is no real enjoyment that you will get out of this Manhwa. It felt like I was losing braincells because everythink about this work is just BS.
Overall 1/10:
Killing Stalking is a fucking mess. The story sucks, the characters suck and it makes you feel either bored or uncomfortable. It's a fucking waste of time. Please don't read this shit.

I really liked Netflix's Squid Game and the Manga of Tomodachi Game has a high score of 8.38 on MAL (as of writing this review). So, I was really excited to watch this Anime. But I was already disappointed after the first episode. In short, this Anime is slighlty below mediocre and should only be watched by a certain type of audience, which I will reveal at the end of the review. The only reason I finished this show is because my curiosity got the better of me. There are minor spoilers in the following review.
Story 3/10:
So the premise of the Anime is that 5
...
really close friends get kidnapped and are forced to play a series of games in order to get rid of debt in the amount of 20 Mio. Yen (which is about 150k USD) that one of them has. The person with the debt is the one who signed them up for this game and is the traitor of the friend group. Who supposedly only wants to pass on his debt to another person and destroy their friendship.
All of this gets revealed in episode 1, but there are a few problems with this situation already. First of all, they are not close friends. They don't know each other as well as they claim they do. Not everyone is on equal good terms with one another. Second of all, they are not forced to play this game. They have the choice to walk away before the game starts, without any consequences. In that case the traitor would just keep his debt. But they still decide to play and risk getting into a lot of debt for someone who endangered and betrayed them. That makes zero sense.
This premise gets thrown out the window after episode 5, when they figure out who the traitor is. After that it turns out the traitor did all of this to expose someone else in the friend group who is the real bad person. But then it turns out someone else did horrible things as well. By episode 7 it is revealed that at least 3 of them did really messed up things. Episode 8-11 are just covering one game in which nothing special happens. Episode 12 is where the series takes a slight turn but nothing note worthy.
So far, Tomodachi Game doesn't even have a real story in my opinion. It's just a bunch of games and events with minor to no meaning. You could technically go from episode 7 to 12 without missing out on much that would be important to the main story line.
Animation 4/10:
The animation of Tomodachi Game is below average, which really surprised me. Because there are no scenes that would require a lot of work like in action and adventure anime. I also can't think of any other modern anime that has a similar visual setting and would be below a 5/10. There are many segments where the animation looks stiff or is straight up just low quality.
Soundtrack & Voice Acting 5/10:
To be honest I don't know what I can say about the Soundtrack. I don't remember anything about it. It certainly ain't bad, but not memorabe either.
The voice acting was pretty solid. I don't have anything negative to say about that.
Characters 3/10:
Goddamn are the characters annoying. I will review each member of the main cast with a few sentences.
Protagonist:
He feels like a cheap version of Light Yagami from Death Note and/or Ayanokouji Kyotaka from Classroom of the Elite. He's the typical big brain protagonist who out plays everyone without them even realizing. Sometimes he really is impressive, but most of the time he isn't. It's just that the characters around him are idiots who lack common sense. The strategies he uses to win the games are either based on luck, common sense or are complete BS that wouldn't work in a real scenario, because of variabels you can't control.
Male friend 1:
The typical "I am the smart friend of the group who keeps pushing up his glasses with his middle finger" character. He's the calculative type who advises the group and protagonist.
Male friend 2:
An idiot who is rich. That's it.
Female friend 1:
The girl who has a crush on the protagonist and seems the most normal.
Female friend 2:
Has also a crush on the protagonist, but is an annyoying cry baby who is useless.
The main cast is basically just a bunch of cliché anime characters.
Enjoyment 4.5/10:
There is so much BS in this anime, but also few things that are interessting. Which game is gonna be played next, what are the rules, who is a bad person and why, how are they gonna win? These things kept me watching, but the answers were most tof the time disappointing or mediocre. Some things that happen are so silly or unexpected that it's lowkey funny. You definetly can enjoy this anime if you don't think about anything and don't ask questions. But that obviously speaks for it's quality.
Overall 4.5/10:
It's not a good anime but it isn't the worst of the worst. I only reccomend this to people who like this type of setting, don't ask questions and are just looking for mindless entertainment, that they will forget within a week.

!!! No Spoilers in this Review !!!
Before I write this Review I want to give you some information about me. I'm a big One Piece fan, I started to watch the Anime at age 11, I've watched almost 900 episodes, I watched all movies, specials, even filler episodes and I am a weekly manga reader. One Piece is my favourite Story of all time.
So, why the overall bad score? It's simple, the pacing of the Anime is terrible. Almost every episode is streched into oblivion, it's not even really watchable anymore. The Anime takes 3 to 5 pages from one chapter and makes a
...
whole 20 minute episode out of it. If you have ever read a manga you know how little that is. The Anime has to stay behind the Manga, that's why they only put 5 pages at max into one episodes, but that doesn't justify the Anime being unwatchable trash. The pacing wasn't always great, but it became significantly worse after around episode 400, the animation quality also dropped down quite a lot. After episode 627 the pacing was complete garbage and still is and it probably won't change.
Now, why did I watch almost 900 episodes if I hate the Anime so much? Well, I really love One Piece as a story and I wasn't a manga reader back then, so I just kept watching the Anime although I lowkey hated it. But I couldn't watch the Anime anymore after 880 episodes, so I switched to the manga. It was the right choice. Honestly, I don't think i could start watching the Anime at my current age (19). I think the only reason I could watch almost 900 episodes is becauses I started watching when I was 11 and almost everything is cool when you are a kid. I didn't even notice that the episodes were strechted that much, but the pacing until episode 400 wasn't that bad.
What I'm trying to say is, One Piece is a great Story and a great Manga, but not a great Anime. Even if you don't like reading manga, give One Piece a shot. I know I've talked bad about the Anime, but I still think that the Anime is watchable until around episode 400 or I'm just saying that because it impacted my childhood really strong. I don't know. But what i know is that One Piece is one of the greatest Stories that has ever been told. So please, excperience it in some way.

Do yourself a favor and don't watch Boruto. It's a trashy Naruto knock-off to get more money out of the Naruto franchise. The Anime is really terrible, probably the worst Anime I've ever seen. I haven't read the Manga, but a friend of mine said it's decent, but still, I wouldn't recommend it either. The Naruto franchise should have ended with Naruto Shippuden. Honestly, Boruto is just a disgrace to Naruto. Every episode of Boruto feels like filler and that is because it's mainly filler! The Boruto Anime tries so hard to stay behind the Boruto Manga like the One Piece Anime does with the
...
One Peice Manga just way worse. The Studio knows that the Boruto Anime is trash and boring and because of that they throw in old Naruto characters every now and then to keep the viewers watching. If the highlight of a show are guest apperances of characters from the prequel, you know that show is TRASH. If you are a hardcore Naruto fan who wants more content from the Naruto franchise, read the Manga at best and don't watch the Anime. As I already mentioned, in my opinion the Naruto franchise should have ended with Naruto Shippuden, then Boruto just feels like a way to milk the Naruto cash cow a little bit more.
Hope this review helped you out.
