Now, I won't focus on how great Neon Genesis Evangelion itself is in general, you can read about that in my review of the series itself, where I've already said many things about the anime, but now let's talk about the movie itself and make it short.
Released in 1997, the movie “The End of Evangelion” is not just a sequel to the show. This movie, shows the canonical event of the third impact (in that time line), which is the central and concluding moment in the legendary Evangelion universe, and is therefore very important and a must-see. The fact that the movie is incredibly detailed,
...
is an absolute masterpiece and an icon in the anime industry is not even worth talking about, everyone should realize that. Being a canon of the Evangelion universe, the movie is as much a masterpiece as Evangelion as a whole.
Showing the harsh reality of the events, sparing neither the characters or the viewer, the movie shows a harsh reality, making you think about many things. Whole thing is very interesting to watch, especially you liked the original series, there is a action, fascinating events, emotional moments, with visual stylization and detailing scenes that is incredible level, well, and of course with a huge space for philosophical reflections and various discussions.
Let's also touch on the soundtrack. “Komm, süsser Tod” - a perfect composition, maximally conveys the mood of the entire Evangelion, and even more so the events that we see in the movie. This composition is forever memorable and has been in my heart, as well as in the hearts of many viewers.
This movie (as well as the entire Evangelion universe) is a perfect example of how anime can be a true masterpiece.

Well, what can we say about probably the hottest anime of the season.
Overall, Dandadan is a good shonen.
First of all, the strongest part of the anime is the picture and animation.
I can say that here is some of the best animation in the anime industry. It's amazing.
Also I would like to point out that unlike other shonen, here, so far, the plot is not built in such a way that there are some monsters, "bad guys", and the main characters eliminate them because... they are bad. It's dull and primitive. Here the characters were solving their certain clear problems that they faced, you can't say
...
that they do it pointlessly and for nothing.
Speaking of negative moments, which are negative for me personally, I hate love triangles, and personally for me it's a minus. The relationship between the protagonist and main girl developed well, and I generally wanted to point out that the characters' relationship develops well, and it's not necessarily through a love triangle to lead the protagonist to reveal his feelings to her, which obviously will happen. This would happen at some point, you don't have to think that he's going to take her away from you, it's really basic. The only point of the love triangle is this, if that point didn't exist it would just be awful, now it's not so awful, but it's still problematic for me personally. In general, there's to much romance stuff, as for an anime that is not in the romance genre, is a bit much in my opinion, a little bit.
Actually, despite the fact that I spend time on what I don't like, this is still ONE aspect that I don't like, related to the romance line. And so, the anime is good, with stunning visuals, with great and good looking characters, quite funny, cute and amusing, but at times serious and very emotional, as especially in episode 7, which is peak of season 1.
So, I liked the anime, and I recommend it, especially if you are not so much annoyed by the love triangle stuff, as it is me.
The first season isn't boring like some other shonen animes, and it's not dragged out like some others either, but there's a feeling that the season just got cut short. And it's not like it just ended at an interesting point, which is often the case and common to keep the viewer in suspense. No, it just feels like the first season has been cut short.

Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan! Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan!
Well, that's hilarious.
"My Deer Friend Nokotan" is awesome in its own way.
The idea is realized very well, and the anime is just as it should be. It's funny, ridiculous, entertaining, and kinda cringe. So I'm enjoying it even though I'm not a huge fan of the school setting.
I really liked the first episode, it was great, and I was really get into it. It went well from there, didn't drop much. We'll see how it goes from here. The hype is understandable, and you can tell the creators are getting what they wanted the anime to
...
be: intentionally absurd, funny, entertaining and drawing viewer into it. The graphics are good, it's Wit Studio, if you ignore the 3d deer, which must have been made so bad on purpose, or I don't know. And of course our dear deer Nokotan, she's so sweet and cute, well, how can she not be liked.
So, you can't demand from this anime what it didn't claim to do, and what it does claim to do, it does very nice so far.

UPDATE: (Jul 31, 2024)
Alright. By the looks of it, I can see how the anime is going to go on from here. The start was good, and it's not bad now. Anyway, it's still fun.
I'm seeing some hate, which I can't agree with, based on the first 3 episodes, which were really enjoyable. Now it seems to be starting to drop a little bit.

As a big fan of Mushoku Tensei - I'm kinda disappointed.
But let's start with the obvious positives.
It's still a very beautiful anime, with a very beautiful world.
With stunning detail. With superbly detailed and beautiful magic. The emotions and experiences of the characters are conveyed well. Exactly everything that was in the previous parts.
Yes, and the story here as a whole developed. Important things happened. And everything was good, until the last few episodes.
The romance line in the previous part was on a very high level. I'm not a big fan of romance, but here I thought it was good. But in this part, it was
...
destroyed. But first things first.
*** FURTHER MINOR SPOILERS ***
After the event that caused Rudeus to become depressed, Roxy decided to help... by having sex with him. No doubt this could have cheered the man up, but the problem is that Rudeus had a freakin pregnant wife. And here we get several problems at once. First, the fact that a man cheated on his pregnant wife should make him feel even worse. It certainly shouldn't have helped him in any way. It's ridiculous. So it makes Rudeus look really bad, and it ruins completely the character development that was built on Rudeus changing for the good. Second, it puts Roxy on the bad side, as someone who decided that banging a married man with a pregnant wife was a good idea, and that should help him. The worst part is that it actually managed to help him. The very idea that cheating on your pregnant wife in any way, shape or form can help you and get you out of depression is disgusting. However, the worst is yet to come.
Next, a sort of dumb love triangle begins, the man can't decide who he loves more, (he has a wife!) and he decides... to make Roxy his second wife. That is, instead of the fact that as in any normal story, where the main character is surrounded by many girls, and he chooses one, and then the viewer decides whether it was the right decision or not, here the author decided to just give the main character several wives. And what, everyone should be happy? Should everyone be happy that a great story turned into a stupid harem? I guess not.
Okay, we've ruined Rudeus character development, you've ruined Roxy, who everyone thought was really nice and there was no point in making her that way, but even that's not where it ends. It gets worse from here.
Do you think when Sylphiette found out that Roxy was taking advantage of the moment to jump on his husband's wiener, did she something about it? File for divorce? No.
She, as a woman who has no self-respect, just accepted it, said she knew it would happen, that Roxy helped his husband (by banging him, lmao), and gladly accepted the bastard's request that he can have a second wife.
This ruined the character of Sylphiette, who I liked a lot. Now she's a woman who has no self-respect, who is okay to tolerate her husband's cheating, to be just one of his wives. Same thing with Roxy.
A great anime becomes a stupid harem.
It's sad.
All of this has severely dragged down the rating of this part of the anime from me. The previous part from me got a solid 9.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is an iconic work that has fully earned its immense popularity and status as a phenomenon in modern culture. The plot is incredibly elaborate down to the smallest detail. The series, it can be said that for the most part does not focus on such a central seeming thing as the battle for the survival of mankind against powerful beings - "angels", instead of just telling about this conflict, Evangelion focuses on the relationship of the characters, their inner feelings, and inspires to comprehend deep philosophical and emotional questions.
The series traverses themes such as identity, loneliness, self-awareness, human relationships and their ambivalence,
...
and so on. Each of them is examined with great depth and thoughtfulness. Evangelion raises issues and questions that can be relevant to people from anywhere in the world, from topics about loss and depression to questions about the meaning and purpose of existence. The series can also make viewers themselves ponder their own existences and place in a world full of problems.
The detailing and architecture of the series is at an incredible level. Everything is worked out and thought out to the smallest detail. Every little aspect of the plot. Under the direction of a very respected by me, and in the anime industry man - Hideaki Anno, studio Ginax have created a truly legendary, cult tittle. Playing with allusions and various symbolisms adds character and mystery to the work. Each character has their own rich inner life, and this allows the audience to truly empathize with the characters. They suffer from their own problems and traumas, and the viewer can feel their pain and loneliness with them. These emotional experiences not only arouse sympathy for the characters, but also make us think about our own lives. The interactions between the characters, their psychology and emotional conflicts are key components of this work. The series does not shy away from touching on the dark and sick sides of human psychology, which makes it especially heartfelt and memorable.
Here, not only stereotypes, templates and clichés are avoided, but also stimulate deep reflections and sensual experiences in viewers. The Title has become a source of inspiration and discussion in the field of animation art for a reason. You can't talk about Evangelion without mentioning its impact on the animation industry and the anime fan community. The series has been the source of numerous debates and theories, and has stimulated the development of various genres and story concepts in anime. The influence of Evangelion is still felt today, the series remains an iconic and influential work in the history of Japanese, and animation in general.
Almost every element of the series, every detail, is elaborate, and makes sense. This is a complex, conceptual, heavy to perceive animated series, where you need to delve into and understand, there is a lot of room for parsing, which opens up a great opportunity for different interpretations and analysis on the part of the viewer. Some scenes and events may seem incomprehensible if you don't pay enough attention to watching. The Title requires an active mind on the part of the viewer. Otherwise, a person will not be able to understand and make sense of what is happening. Sometimes, people do not like to be subjected to any kind of intellectual strain, and because of their mental abilities, they do not understand what is in front of their screen. Consequently, they can only express a negative attitude towards the work in question. This applies only to unfounded criticism from people who can not cope with this anime. There are simple series, focused on the mass, casual viewers and children's audience, and there is Evangelion.
This anime is a true masterpiece of art, a reimagining of the anime genre and a source of inspiration. With deep philosophical themes, detail, and an incredibly elaborate plot, Evangelion deserves its place in culture and remains one of the most inimitable and significant works in the anime industry. Evangelion's influence extends far beyond the animation field and continues to influence culture and art as a whole.
