If we talk about a slice of life anime, especially when it’s related to Iyashikei. It always gives us a good vibe from the simplicity of anime which is funny and moe, we don’t need to think anything hard and complex because Iyashikei itself is an anime genre that means “healing”. So, the Iyashikei anime is the anime that gives us anything relaxing atmosphere, less drama, even the perfect choice for your watchlist before bedtime.
Yama no Susume did a job as an example of Iyashikei anime, where everything about the anime is a joy of mountain climbing, entertaining informative guide of how to climb
...
a mountain, and the story of each mountain(loli) climbers that gives you an amazing relaxing mood. The same thing goes to Yuru Camp, but they more oriented to camping
Yuru Camp follows the story of the “campers”(ofc), that do camping activity(OFC). Starring the cutest anime lifeform who has a memeable hair, Shimarin. A basic cheery & energetic girl which sometimes she looks completely idiot, Nadeshiko. A girl with unique Japanese accent but at the same time, she is fanservice clickbait, Aoi. And…… the rest of them(lol, I don’t remember the others, but you just can look it at character list tho). Yeah, the show is all about camping, where they making foods, prepare a tent, and watch them talking in the night scenery which I don’t know why it’s relaxing to watch(apparently, the same thing goes on when I watch Nijisanji for hours)
What I like about this show is they just giving you a basic moefication camping show without giving anything weird about the show, like a kinda looked old girl but she is actually 9 years old or they were camping in the isekai world or whatever that is. It’s just giving you a real camping show(but ofc it has been moeficated). When I watch this show, I’m expecting like “Well, this is just a moeshit show, nothing special about it”. But actually, they give a special value because they put the moe “which is” definitely guaranteed to attract people for the first sight, an amazing beautiful scenery that perfectly drew to gain a comfy atmosphere, a real camp location and an information guide of how to camp which it made accurate and fun to watch, then it all combined into one show and it’s mixed very well. Also, the entire show filled with all comedy which makes the show more entertaining.
I don’t think I got of what I don’t like about this show. But, from their location, is all around of Mt Fuji, this need to be a concern because I think they are much popular camping sites beside around Mt Fuji, I think for the next season, I think they should put another…. no, they should put more popular camping site outside Mt Fuji. That would be more great, but depends on their story
Another plus point of this show is their catchy OP/ED songs, the show opens with SHINY DAYS by Asaka which give us an uplifting hype as the show begin to give the spirit of camping. Asaka did a great job for singing the hype song which matches with the anime atmosphere. And closed with Fuyubiyori by Eri Sasaki, which give us chills after all day of camping activities. This song is really comfy, even it’s perfect for your song to listen before bedtime
Overall, this anime is really family friendly, really good to watch. I probably suggest you if you want to camp, you don’t need book or anything, just watch Yuru Camp and you good to go, but keep in mind not everything in Yuru Camp you can do it (lol). I really loved everything from this anime, I’ll give this 8.5/10 for the joy of camping series.
