Unfortunately, I have to analyse whole anime, not particular parts about it. Why I'm worried? One can say, there are 3 8-episode stories within 1 anime. Overall it's terrible, only first 8 episodes - first story - are worthwhile.
I must admit, I was really interested in the story, and watching first one from these 3 was a pleasure - nice characters with proper background, likeable and realistic. I won't comment on the other two parts, because I couldn't stand nor characters, nor story, so it won't be really fair, but they just lost their uniqueness. It gets worse and worse, so much that I
...
almost didn't complete the anime.
I was truly disappointed - after nice beginning, and well-done first part, the other ones just didn't keep up with it.
So I have one advice for future viewers - stop after first 8 episodes. If the anime ended after them, I would have said, "it was really good".
Sound here is quite good, but not outstanding or catching, although I liked opening.
Art is, to be fair, the only thing that keeps it's good quality throughout whole series, although it's not amazing or anything, just nice to look at.

'K, so I'm trying here to write a real, non-spoiler review. But I might fail, so inform me please if I spoil sthing for u, k? I really wanna ppl to get to know this manga better.
First of all, a warning - I'm not sure 'bout it being truly shoujo-genric. While graphics definitely suit one, it has much more depth than your typical shoujo-like love story. It also shows flaws and ugliness of humans characters, which is why I was so fascinated in it the first place.
Second warning - you might not enjoy the open ending. I won't say anything more 'cause I don't wanna
...
blow the surprise, but there are people who don't enjoy it. Frankly speaking, I usually share this kind of approach, but here, in this manga, it just fits perfectly.
Now, what truly drives this manga, besides perfectly executed graphics (protagonists design changes along with their growth and character, u can truly see what kind of ppl they are or were) is it's plot and characters. While at first one might feel discouraged - the first few chapters don't seem to promising - they're necessary for the story to unfold, so you have to bear with them. And you shoudn't skip - although it gets more interesting further on, they explain a lot of the future events, and introduce all the main cast to you.
This is also what I enjoyed in this manga - nothing happens without a reason. When some event happens, you can recall some hints and things that led to it, just like in a real life. All characters are portrayed as realistically as possible (well, with a minor comedic-like acts, but they're not important to the story).
And the last thing that you will enjoy - the cast. It's really wide, and unlike in other shoujo mangas where only two-four characters count, they're not really cast aside as a bystanders, or one-episode show-ups. They have their own life, and while observing the main protagonists one also gets a look at people surrounding them. While not all of them are developed, most of them have their story and relationships, which we observe via the conversations between them or when on of our main heroes get too nosy.
And last but not least - the main heroes. I liked them immensly. I liked the way they treated each other, interacted with side-characters, and I liked their respective development and changes that they went through.
I was truly moved by all this. And don't get confused by mangafox's genre - it's also a drama, a very believable one.
Well, this concludes my summary, it's my favourite and I hope more people'll get to know it.
Overall, I might exaggerate, but for me it's definitely 10/10 mark.

It's a bit hard to write a review for something you didn't complete reading, but if the last two volumes will change my point, I'll delete and rewrite this review.
Story: 8
Nothing really special or different form other inside the genre, but still...
A bit slow in the beginning, it picks up the pace, and drags you along. At soe point I couldn't take my eyes off the monitor and was really disappointed that the translation isn't complete. It's quite well written and logical, doesn't get tangled up and doesn't bore you. You can see the characters development, especially in the relationship between two main heroes,
...
at first fragile and easily broken, getting stronger with time.
It proceeds with care and even with some things left unsaid it's not that hard to comprehend.
Art: 10
I liked it very much, with well drawn background and characters. But I think it depends on ones taste...
Characters: 10!
I have to admit, I fell in love with both male leads, and it's really hard to decide who is more interesting -> Akane, theoretically one easily expressing himself and straightforward, but a hard to deal with personality, not one to admit defeat and a person who doesn't like asking for advice, or Hiiragi, a closed inside himself loner with amazing pride, stubborn and striving to give his best.
They turn each other on, easily argue, but are the ones to understand each other best. Although from time to time they make mistakes, and it gets messy...
The backup set is quite interesting, although a bit stereotypical. We have a loyal childhood friend following Akane everywhere and her sceptical friend, we have a guy who is trying to overcome his inability and a goody-buddy pseudo gangster type who is trying to fell in love.
Enjoyment: 10!!!
I loved it, love it, and will love... I can't wait till there is more released!
Overall: 9,5
I think it's outstanding in a sports genre, one truly worthwhile. But if you don't like a genre, well... why are you wasting your time? You won't find here any heartbreaking drama or romance, it's the best in it's genre, if you are looking for a more mature manga, try Death Note or something. :P
