If you don't have followers, you die.

At first when I started readin the manga, I thought— ‘What the hell! Is this another versiomln of SAO except that it has nothing to do with swords?’ But 3 chapters into the manga and I was proven wrong. It does not revolve around a single game, it is a social trap. REAL ACCOUNT is a social networking site where having followers is a must.

Just so you all are not confused, I would like to tell you that the manga has 2 volumes right now. Volume 1 has 10 chapters and the protagonist is Kashiwagi Ataru. Volume 2 has ... 5 chapter (still publishing) and the protagonist is Mukai Yuuma. They are related and stuck in RealAcc but I won't tell you anything else. Lets start the review~


ART- 8.0/10
The art work is well done. Detailing is impressive but basic level. There is no problem in differentiating between different characters. Each have their own characteristic way.

STORY- 9.0/10
Superb story! I loved the concept of getting caught in a Social networking site rather than in a game (which is quite common). They play different games inside the RealAcc and the different, unique quizzes and dares make you see yourself in place of them.


CHARACTERS- 8.0/10
Normal characters. The type with whom one can relate. They think not differently than us normal people do. Nothing extra ordinary about them (except for being cute) :P


ENJOYMENT- 9.0/10
The manga is filled with excitement. You can't put it down unless you read it till the end. The games played to survive are both psychological and social. The whole world watches as the characters play to save their lives. No followers means you are dead. If you loose a game, then also you are dead— added that all your followers die to.

Now you see the problem behind having followers?

Over all, I give this manga 9.0/10.

Sakura Discord

I came upon this manga recently when Manga Fox updated by posting 'New Manga Released'. There is only 1 chapter available yet (with around 60 pages) but MAL shows its status complete. But well, that aside, lets take a quick look at what I think about this manga by reading its 1st chapter.

ART— 7.0/10

I wouldn't say that the art is bad, rather its just plain. The characters drawn are thankfully clearly distinguishable from each other but there is not much of a detailing. Not very appealing look of characters but I would rather over look that part when it comes to the story.

STORY— ... 8.0/10

As far as my brain could get the settings (by reading only the first chapter), the story is probably based on friendship, never giving up— ‘Take one step more’ and baseball. It is a shounen-sports manga with a regular high school main character who has given up on baseball though he wanted to be the best (typical shounen story). But the way it was potrayed, I think I might not be disappointed bybthe series. It has got potential.

CHARACTERS/ENJOYMENT— 9.0/10

I give the characters and enjoyment a score of 9. Why? Thats simple, the story is enjoyable. Again why? The baseball teams have 6 players. So what? All six characters are names Sakura— hence, Sakura Discord!

Each Sakura has their own different personality. Though notuch was revealed in the first chapter about each and every one but the two Sakuras it focussed on were totally micking each other out. I don't know if it can get confusing with so many Sakuras (because they don't call themselves Sakura at all, they use their first name) but I can surely say, they might have problems!

In conclusion, I rate the manga 8.0/10 ヽ( ´¬`)ノ

I was searching for some new Manga to read and I came up across Kiss x Death. First up was its genre, I usually don't read or watch Shoujo so I was looking for something which was in the lines of shounen- Kiss x Death. There were only 4 chapters released so I plunged into them as soon as I saw that this wasn't an ordinary story. It follows the life of a few high school girls who are controlled by aliens. Sounds ordinary? Well, its not. It would have been ordinary if the protagonist guy wasnt a gynophobic person (fear of women), and for ... him, the worst of all is that he has to kiss the girls to set them free. And no, its not cliched. There is a reason why he has to kiss and I don't want to spoil that for you all. At first look, it would seem like an 'okayish' artist's work. The girls were not attractive in the least and to be frank, I was dissapointed but everything changes once the main plot begins. The characters take a dramatic turn of looks and they look stunning.
