i watched 219 episodes of this and it's rather simple
the problem with this show is that it started with the manga so it's filled with fillers, if you skip fillers and watch manga canons (and some of the anime canons that related to the manga) then it will be an absolute blast
if you enjoy naruto and it's world you should give it a try and watch it with an open mind, but don't expect a naruto part 3 from it, watched it like it's a new series you're getting into.
