Watched this because I had seen the first season and thought “I don’t remember liking it that much but it was okay to kill some time”. Basically the same but I disliked it more this time.
TL;DR: Gambling, but underage kids, highly disturbing and uncomfortably sexual and basically everyone is a psycho or just a plain character trope. Also they are all kids with no sense of stakes whether it’s their life or literally billions. They are kids. Why are they gambling. Where are their parents? No adults in this world.
STORY:
1/10
I like how someone’s review commented on how there are no teachers or adults at this
...
“school”. After that I was just wondering how this “school” even exists, like why even bother calling it “school” and go to “classes” or even have classrooms if all anyone ever does is gambling?? Just make the whole setting a casino at that point.
ART:
5/10
Was fine when it wasn’t getting the freaky nasty looking style when characters were all showing that they were psychos all along.
Also I really liked Rei's second design I guess you'd call it? She looked like a hot anime boy there and that was good stuff heck ya.
SOUND:
5/10
Neutral for me, OP and end I skipped mostly and the music seemed all the same to me.
CHARACTER:
1/10
Only reason I don’t give a big fat zero is I liked how the main exposition dude seemed resigned to the fact that the main girl would always accept a gamble no matter how crazy, so at least he learned a little from the first season lol. Also I liked the almost character “arc”?? That they gave Rei or whoever the servant girl was although of course that almost ended the same as every character who loses to Yumeko. (I hate her but I respect her and I guess I’ll die but oh wait I’m still around because I gotta be another background exposition character after having my nice gross looking mental breakdown)
ENJOYMENT:
3/10
Just watched to finish it at this point. I fell asleep while watching it and had a good nap the other day so points for nap LOL but this was a shallow anime with some okay animation when it wasn’t getting scarily high res eyes or bodily fluids coming from all the character’s pores…yikes. It was okay to pass some time.
OVERALL:
3/10
Could have been worse? (I think). I didn't actively hate this anime, but more just "oh they really didn't try for anything other then big tiddy anime girl who gets off on gambling,,,in a high school,,,,yeah we set bois make sure to make all the losers look real nasty when they have breakdowns".
Also you don't have to see a single adult character except the partial view of one lady in one flashback so you all good if you hate seeing adults in anime.

TL;DR
Nice short watch for a cool older styled anime movie. I found this enjoyable although I haven’t played any of the games/know almost nothing about the lore. Good if you like witches and people fighting angels with hair and lots of partial (soft)nudity.
STORY: 5/10
I know nothing and the basic plot of this was easy enough to understand thanks to the few dialogue exposition dumps the viewer gets. Interesting enough to keep me watching the whole thing although the ending is easy enough to guess from not far in.
ART: 7/10
Cool 90’s style looking animation. Was reasonably well done, only a few scene felt kind
...
of dark and occasionally the heads looked really small in proportion to their bodies in wide shots, otherwise it was fine.
SOUND: 5/10
No reaction much for myself either way although it seemed to fit it well enough and some of the comments below where I was watching it were commenting on how several of the game remixes were used so that’s cool.
CHARACTER: 5/10
As good as you can expect for a movie where they kind of expect you to know who they are going in, with the basics explained or done so in expositions and not through character’s actions.
ENJOYMENT: 8/10
Although I didn’t get as much as a hard core Bayonetta fan would have I’m sure, I enjoyed this. It was a sexy witch lady with her clothes turning into hair and being partially naked while beating down hordes of freaky angels with the occasional innuendo.
OVERALL: 6/10
Good if you like Bayonetta and want an easy way to pass the time. Or older styled anime movies. I wouldn't watch this around people who aren't sure about anime because they'll for sure be confused by the almost constant nudity lol.

TL;DR
A fun, short anime that was pretty fun when I wasn't getting borderline triggered at some of the characters.
I haven’t read any content for this series, just seen this anime. No spoilers.
STORY: 5/10
Fine, it was a nice change from the normal "fantasy world" stories with them actually starting from being average and not being super OP from the start...for the most part lol.
It skipped around in a few parts near the end, probably because I doubt thee was any way to cram the amount of content they were probably being rushed to either include or cut out from this short adaptation, it brought me
...
out of it a little bit but the story flowed pretty fast for the most part anyways so it didn’t feel that out of place.
ART: 7/10
Fine. Nothing really stood out and looked amazing besides a few nicely done scenes. Some of the face shapes would change shape sometimes which was a little weird but overall well done.
SOUND: 7/10
Also fine, I liked the ending a lot, very cute.
CHARACTER: 2/10
Okay, this is my biggest issue with this anime. It was nice how the characters weren’t “perfect” or “super amazing” or anything, but there’s gotta be something said about going too far in the other direction…or just me?
Anyways I get that “these characters are so bad so that makes it good” but that didn’t make Aqua any less annoying for me, I found her whining all the time to be the most aggravating part of the series. Not the voice acting but what she was saying…”she’s just not your waifu type then” no kidding she’s not HA.
MC whatshisface was fine, an average dude with some attitude and kinda a bit of a horrible person at times so not a total Gary Stu. I thought I would hate Megumin but she just stuck firmly in “sorta annoying” territory so wasn’t a real issue for me, and Darkness’ “kinky” trope was kind of overplayed but not the worst I’ve seen so that wasn’t too hard to sit through.
Basically 2/10 for this because Aqua, she triggers me LOL
I wish I liked her more because there are some nice figures of her hmmmm
ENJOYMENT: 6/10
Fine overall. Don’t have much to say other then a nice short watch.
OVERALL: 7/10
Light and easy to digest for a quick, fantasy watch with nice colours and a humour-based storyline.

I normally don’t go for serious genres or anything “horror” and decided to try this out, I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this. It was a bit of a slow start with some characters I didn’t like at first, but it got real good and remained that way up until the very end. This was the most fun I’ve had watching anime in quite some time!
TL;DR: A really good show with lots of blood and really good at creating suspense.
(Spoiler free review from an anime-only watcher’s perspective)
STORY:
9/10
Cool ideas and execution, I like that it was never explained super in-depth for
...
the most part and kept an air of mystery which I think worked really well at keeping you engaged and interested in what was going to happen next. I didn’t find anything very predictable and definitely gasped out loud a number of times while watching, not being sure what the outcome was going to be for a number of dramatic scenes.
ART:
9/10
Looked very good overall. Some lazy scenes and characters becoming very blob-like(and not just the parasytes) when there were wide or distance shots, but I’m finding as I watch more anime that it’s almost to be expected for budget/time saving I guess. The parasytes sure did look freaky when they were first introduced and pretty solidly threatening throughout the series.
I feel like they almost could have gone more intense with the gore but I’m probably glad they didn’t as I’m the type who would probably get squeamish easily, I almost stopped watching immediately after starting the anime and seeing the very intense first scene, but I’m really glad I kept going.
Just the scenes were very dark in a few of them, with the colours being hard to distinguish the subject but that’s probably like why people dint want to see Batman in broad daylight, it ruins the mystery and literally lightens the mood too much, so I can’t really complain.
Overall, really well done and suited the tone.
SOUND:
10/10
Good OP, I love how it turns to what sounds to me like screaming and pure angst, really good for getting me hyped for the episode.
The ending was a nice contrast, being so peaceful, almost felt like tearing up several times.
One thing that was also a really nice touch for me was the music that would play for the preview shots of the next episode, it was really eerie and always freaked me out.
CHARACTER:
9/10
Okay so the main character I found pretty unlikeable at first, but his actions were always somewhat realistic(although a huge wimp at first) but it made his later actions so much more justifiable and satisfying to see. I loved seeing the character growth and interactions. Even the characters that I felt didn’t get fleshed out much or development were still mostly realistic, if a bit dull at times.
Overall, no huge relying on stereotypical character tropes like the super tsundere etc which was a nice change to see.
I liked how human (or in the non-human cases how non-human) their choices and actions felt.
ENJOYMENT:
10/10
Was not expecting to enjoy this this as much as I did. This was fun, it grabbed me in and although I was a bit skeptical at first, had me looking forward to each next episode I watched. There were a good number of cliffhangers, but also some surprising nice episode ends so I never felt like the anime was trying to be cheap with fake outs and the like.
OVERALL:
10/10
Very fun alien spooky anime drama. Had good drama and mystery and actual good characters that I enjoyed seeing progress and mess up.
Shinchi and Migi are forever best bros to me, this made me think of the 2018 Venom movie, this was almost like a buddy-cop at times which only added to the fun for me.
Almost(definitely) cried over a right hand, would watch again.

Wanted to kill some time by watching anime people kill each other. It was pretty much that. The art felt really poor at times along with boring pacing that made this short series hard to sit through.
STORY:
2/10
I like how they never explain why some of them have “powers” or whatever? I guess it’s the human world but….not like there’s much story to begin with so it doesn’t really matter. I think this is a take off of Battle Royale or something? If you want to see some edgey anime people fight each other with lots of slow exposition and backstories, then this is for
...
you.
ART:
3/10
Got really lazy and ugly a lot, like the noses were always shifting along with reusing the same character pose/same shots for like 5 minutes of exposition get really noticeable. Not like I could do that but dang, felt cheap and “super edgy” but poorly done.
The 3D did actually work for some of the fights rather well which was surprising, but the 3D wasn’t that great so it didn’t help much.
The colour as a whole felt ugly and dark, maybe that’s for the theme but didn’t help it look any better as a result.
Also interesting censoring at times that was kinda funny unintentionally.
SOUND:
5/10
I’m neutral with this. Never really listened but the bits I heard were fine.
CHARACTER:
2/10
The pattern seemed to develop of “here’s a character who died/about to die so we’re gonna flesh out their backstory for an episode” and it happened every time I think. Trying to make me care about someone when it’s the same almost every time with a few twists feels cheap. The only character that felt like had somewhat redeeming qualities was the winner with their wish at the end, felt human and had emotion.
ENJOYMENT:
3/10
I did want to see the end so I sat through this in 2 days.
OVERALL:
3/10
TL;DR easy enough way to pass some time.
The pacing along with sometimes ugly art and animation made it dull and hard to sit through.

Okay, I’ve read a few reviews saying how tonally inconsistent this anime is, shifting between a dramatic show trying to get you to cry and a fun action that’s occasionally a comedy. It does do that a lot, but I enjoyed the premise and so sitting through this was easy and a fun time for me, if you look past the filler-feeling episodes sometimes and some of the very gimmicky characters and some cliche plot devices etc.
Spoiler free review from someone who hasn’t read the manga.
STORY:
5/10
Okay, I liked the idea of assassins being main characters, there are quite a few episodes where it’s just “here’s
...
the mission/person we are going to kill/we kill them” and that’s it. The idea of a corrupt capital and a rebel army isn’t that new or original either but it was a decent enough backdrop for the story.
The tone is where I agree with many people who gave the show harsher reviews etc and for good reason, it shifts constantly. Like, one moment it’s a fun friendship anime with people fighting the bad guys and boom next episode tons of death and apparent dealing with trauma even though it was all laughs and no apparent issues beforehand. And rinse and repeat. Most noticeably with Tatsumi who deals with major angst but only for like…probably about a third or less of the anime spread throughout the whole show, and even then mostly just in “boss fights” lol.
Like dannnng. Guess they’re all on lit antidepressants for most of the time and just get angsty when the plot needs them too-hmmmmmmm
ART:
7/10
Looked pretty good. There was the occasional lazy looking shots in fight scenes and some more still shots, like when they were further away the quality in animation would drop a lot and the heads/hair would seem a bit the wrong size and would draw me out of some of the battles etc but for the most part it was fine.
I think they tried to make the Imperial Arms look decent but other then most of their initial shots they looked like standard normal anime weapons, the only one that I remember looking somewhat better was Lubba’s threads which looked shiny and like the light reflected off of them rather then just being flat colours all the time(of course the swords shone too) but yeah, nothing that special.
SOUND:
7/10
From what I remember the OP and EDs were fine, skipped through most of them to get to the story (or lack thereof LOL). I usually skip through most openings/endings so unless it’s really banging I won’t usually watch it that much.
CHARACTER:
6/10
There were your typical cliche tropes, Main character good guy also pretty OP who fights for his friends, clumsy sky girl, stoic OP girl, tsundere etc etc etc
We got a pretty good look at most of their backstories through dramatic flashbacks making you care about them to some degree, notably also with the villains which is always a surprise for me, not just the main “good guys”, like most anime I’ve seen so that was nice.
ENJOYMENT:
10/10
I just had a lot of fun watching this! Yes, there are many cliches, plot devices, character stereotypes and more but I had a really fun time watching this so it was still a good anime for me.
This scored high for fun for me, but technically wasn't as strong but not terrible either(story/character-wise etc).
OVERALL:
8/10
TL;DR Pretty decent fun assassin anime that is not afraid to kill off characters, in the least! LOL
The tone shifts all the time but for a decently emotional anime packed with action you can’t go wrong for an easy watch with Akame ga Kill!

Okay, I watched this on Netflix and part of it with my mom who does not usually watch anime because it’s not really her thing, we enjoyed this series fine enough, but until the plot actually happens it’s pretty filled with…filler. But hey, pretty to look at!
STORY:
6/10
When it actually happens, pretty good and interesting. I liked the world setting and the magic system was cool to learn about. The amount of filer in the middle however, grew pretty old for me pretty quick. And also the same story elements being dragged on for literal episodes (WhO iS cHaRiOt GeE wHiZ iDk Is ShE sTiLl AlIvE?!?!?!!).
ART:
9/10
Really
...
pretty, fit the story well and was fun to watch! Nothing like…that hasn’t been done before that blew my mind but a very pretty show!
SOUND:
7/10
The openings and ending were good, I wasn’t a huge fan of it/paid a lot of attention to it, I liked the visuals of them more then the actual sounds LOL
CHARACTER:
3/10
Gimmicks. SO MANY GIMMICK CHARACTERS. There were a few with potential that I expected to learn more about like, say, Suizie and Dottie who we meet in the first episode. We get a couple episodes with them mostly featured but then that’s pretty well it…like I think there’s just a huge portion of the show where they literally just get…forgotten about LOL.
I like Diana and what we got to see and learn about her, she was probably one of (if not the?) best developed character, I remember the most about her.
Akko is a screaming girl with a dream to be the best witch and gets through life with sheer volume and plot devices, she’s a fine typical MC and at least she wasn’t OP like plenty of boring main characters but her trait of being “really bad at magic” was pretty grating at times. Also she literally worships Chariot, whatever floats your witchy boat I guess.
And Chariot herself. She seemed pretty cool at first but as we learn more it seems her personality(if she had one) got extremely watered down and just…dull. Like I get it, she’s not a ‘hero’ or ‘famous’ anymore but to literally get rid of your personality and not really with any good reason other then “I realized what I did was hOrRiBle AnD I cAn’T fOrGiVe MySeLf so I became boring”. Cool cool. Pretty boring resolution for her “arc”.
There were more characters but I don’t feel like talking about them or remember much abut them LOL…the one science/modern witch lady…Croix I believe? She was so gimmicky it made me laugh. What a lady.
Overall, they were all pretty flat and boring once more and more episodes showed the m=not much was going to change, maybe the manga had better development?
ENJOYMENT:
6/10
It was just fine…fun to turn my brain off a little and watch cute girls try magic with teen drama and lots of yelling with nice animation. Wouldn’t watch again, if I did I would most likely just watch the first and last episodes and just skip like the whole middle LOL
OVERALL:
5/10
To quote my mom:
“That Akko girl sure does yell a lot of her lines”
She was and is very right about that.

I finally got around to watching JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and it was a wild ride, full of fun moments, plot convinces galore and fabulous manly fighting. Also 8-packs. Six packs are the old, outdated standards for the ideal male body now.
STORY: 7 / 10
Lots of tropes and relies a lot on plot convinces (like items appearing at exactly the right moment etc), but if it wasn’t a really fun ride I don’t know what else it is. Although it did get predictable at times, it still kept me wanting to see what happened next, keeping me cheering along for the next inevitable super extra event
...
that only crazy villains and over the top humans with ridiculous amounts of strength and stamina being all heroic could do.
ART: 9 / 10
Really stylized, but really nice looking! Made it really fun to watch, you know everyone (males mostly) in this series are SUPER EXTRA BUFF and could easily crush bricks with their thighs. Dang. Also those bright colours in cutaways and inner monologues looked so cool-not to mention the banger-ness of the openings! Super fun to watch as it made the manga come to life, literally making it 3d! It looked like a lot of love had been put into it!
SOUND: 10 / 10
Lit. Loved that I can finally understand the “To be continued” meme I never understood before with this famous bass lines. Also really cool touch how the sound effects were added in the last theme song(s?), made me question if I had been hearing things or not haha.
CHARACTER: 7 / 10
We have heroic heroes and jerk bad guys who are easy to hate. Characters didn’t really get developed but had the story happen around them? It was fine and enjoyable, fitting the theme, but nothing super deep felt like it was going on. Like Dio is evil for the sake of being evil by having the most perfect power-hungry upbringing with his parental angst etc etc etc.
The one thing I was disappointed about was (SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 23) how Lisa Lisa, the first strong female character we see gets defeated in like…30 seconds and of course is up to Joseph to save the day. RIP to strong women holding their own in a fight when the male lead is present.
ENJOYMENT: 9 / 10
Hecka fun time, even if some scenes could feel stretched out a bit(like a couple of the fights) and other things feeling rushed/not super explained…but a fun time if you expect super extra everything with really buff men, then you have all of that and it’s a blast!
OVERALL: 9 / 10
Overall, the characters weren’t ever developed much/at all beyond their motivations(like wanting more power so now evil and wanting to dominate the world…or wanting to fight for justice so now a good guy etc, super basic). It was still fun to watch them, however, due to things generally moving fast and keeping the story moving if not by character development but by plot convinces that moved things to the next event.
I feel like I’ve said “fun” and “enjoyable” a lot already, but this what this was for me, nothing crazy deep or thought provoking (haha) but once you look past some of the cheesy (and super cheesy) elements, it’s there to entertain and blow your mind with all the extra fighting styles of these extremely ripped god-like men yelling plenty of their lines.
TL;DR
I haven’t enjoyed an anime so much lately for just being “fun”, I do appreciate dramatic or highly developed stories, but sometimes you need a bright, fun time that can still surprise you sometimes, and for me JoJo was just that.
Prepare for handsome men screaming about justice and what fighting moves they’re using in extreme detail and enjoy the explosions of colours and perfectly sculpted 8-packs.

I watched this series after a friend of mine recommended it to me, she said it was slow at first but got real intense after about halfway when sh*t hits the fan. She was right.
TL;DR Good anime with some good plot developments/twists and characters you grow to care about, but a REALLY slow start that comes with characters that you have no reason to like until they get much further development.
This review has no spoilers!
STORY: 7 / 10
Okay, this was a good story, lots of mind-blowing things that really make you think, like any good time travel or engaging mystery story should, but had
...
very slow pacing in the first half. It built up to a strong final act that ends up relating to another major event and makes you go “oooooh.” I liked the ending as well, it was a satisfying conclusion. That’s all I really have to say about it without any spoilers if you haven’t seen it LOL
ART: 9 / 10
I think the style suits the story well, it’s not crazy beautiful or too simple, the characters can look a little..flat sometimes (like the constant white lab coats along with what seems like little to no shading on the faces at times but that’s probably just me nitpicking) but overall looks fine.
SOUND: 10 / 10
The opening was fire.
CHARACTER: 7 / 10
The characters are pretty bland until a fair ways into the anime, I had the biggest issue with Okabe himself. He was extremely unlikable and his personality just felt…gimmicky I guess. Maybe it was secretly really good because I hated him before the second half of the anime after he went through the sh*t hitting the fan and got emotions that weren’t just *YELLING MAD SCIENTIST STUFF*. I understand it takes time to world build and develop characters but to have some unlikable for that long, makes it really drag and hard to get through. I’m glad they became so likeable and got some depth other then their character type traits.
Christina (Kurisu) )got pretty good development(thankfully, although she literally starts and remains as “smart tsundere” for quite a while. Tsundere’s are one of my least favourite character tropes as they can be pretty mean and even abusive in some cases, but in this case her ‘tsundere-ness’ felt justified because Okabe was so unlikable until he goes through a major event midway.
Basically, they did a good job of actually showing the character development after it finally happened.
ENJOYMENT: 7 / 10
Was fun to watch and see what would happen next after getting through the slow first half. Fun time travel story. But the slow first half really didn’t sit well with me, it was actually frustrating for me to sit through. That’s the reason I’m giving it a slightly lower score, rather then like an 8 or a 9.

Okay, so this was a fine, short comedy. If you find the premise entertaining enough along with the same constant visual gags, for 12 around-eight minute long episodes, then this will be good for you.
STORY: 5 / 10
Kind of poor, it’s a simple comedy that’s mostly short, episodic stories following the same overarching plot line that’s pretty basic, but overall entertaining.
ART: 4 / 10
Not really that good, minus the actual statues themselves. Pretty basic and I didn’t find it very visually appealing other then the sight gags. Not really terrible, felt like super basic anime art, nothing terrible but not memorable either.
SOUND: 4
...
/ 10
They only have the one ending song, which although catchy, if you don’t really like it, that’s tough luck because that’s all there is LOL.
CHARACTER: 5 / 10
We get some basic personalities for our boys and their try-hard manager, along with the boss and other office guy. The most focused being the main character, Miki, some reasonable insight into her for how short the whole thing is. No real development for any of the characters though.
ENJOYMENT: 6 / 10
Like I mentioned earlier, if you like the premise and have around a couple hours to sit through this, it’ll be light and easy viewing. Wouldn’t really rewatch as it’s pretty bland once you’ve seen it once/gotten tired of the same joke over and over again.
OVERALL: 6 / 10
One scene that made me laugh out loud out of sheer surprise was in episode 9, when the Rockie’s leader, Saint George was shown to have slept with a woman to get Mars out of a scandal,. She asked him “Do you regret doing this?” and the camera just pans to him lying on his side, crying into his pillow. I laughed so hard, that was a good, very short joke that still makes me smile thinking about it.
If you wanna see some sweet statue idols act like rock heads, this is for you lol…also it’s fun reading comments on where you find people watching this, there’s sure to be plenty of rock and statue puns.
