Such a surprise, an anime that I didn't like.
Well, despite that the thriller atmosphere is cool, nobody should get carried away by that. Let's point out how unrealistic is that the kids in this show don't act like kids; yeah, yeah, they play with the other kids, and they act like if they were innocent creatures, but come on! How many children do you know that are able to think in the way they do? It's unrealistic to think that a child can do everything these kids do.
The plot hole from the final episodes of the first season destroyed a big part of the credibility
...
of this anime; Ray knew about the big secret of the orphanage, and he didn't try to convince anyone to escape? Literally, they could do something a long before many of their friends died, and Ray did nothing.
Also, the anime tried to victimize the sisters of the first season, they both wanted to be sisters, and all of a sudden, the flashback of them showed that they were victims of the circumstances... ok? So what? I'm not going to feel pity for those monsters just like that.
Having a big cast of characters is -most of the time- a terrible idea, and in the case of The Promised Neverland, is particularly bad since many of them are one-dimensional characters and have no development, but even if they wanted to explore every character's personality, they couldn't do that since there are A LOT of them.
Anyway, the big reason why this anime was so impressive, wasn't because it explores any interesting or serious subject, but because of the pure and cheap shock factor that only impress the casuals.
4/10

Attack on Titan is probably one of the most overrated animes of all time, and to be honest, I had high expectations about this series. Before I continue, this review will cover the series from the first season to the fourth one, with few minor spoilers.
I have to admit that the scenario and the atmosphere are pretty cool, you can feel the decadence of humanity, the empowerment of the soldiers when they want to achieve something, the desperation they have when they fail, and the epicness that the music has is incredible, all along with a great art style; the world is amazing, painstakingly detailed,
...
and it doesn't feel just like a background.
Yes, the aesthetic is great... but everything else was disappointing.
The characters wobbled between a bad and a mediocre level of quality, their characterization is erratic, or they are directly so flat that it hurts, Mikasa, Levi, Sasha Blouse, Erwin Smith, etc, barely have any other personality trait beyond being an emo or an outgoing person, and some of them don't have a proper exploration of their motivations, despite they are relevant characters, we don't have a personal connection with them, "the Titans killed their loved ones" ok, but we don't know how good their relationship was, since we just ASSUMED they used to have a good relationship with their loved ones (acording to what they've told us)
Historia is a weird girl for multiple reasons, first, she claimed to be the "Humanity's biggest enemy" and then, she becomes the queen of the realm she supposedly hated, and she also decided that her life purpose will be to save everyone. Then we have Eren... Jesus Christ, he is the author's spoiled baby, there were so many moments when Eren should have died, but thanks to the magic of the plot armor, He survived! And don't forget that he's the carrier of a big superpower that makes him so special; you could say that this does not cause anything but a pain to him, but I can't believe that bullshit when the author is constantly saving him so deliberately in such epic ways over and over again.
Factor shock is the main characteristic this anime has, we had deaths of characters who we never met in-depth, or the best we've got from them was a flashback... minutes before they died, such a way to waste the potential of some interesting characters.
The anime stretched the main mystery to the top, either by some Diabolus ex Machina, such as the moment when Annie Leonhart got freeze or the amnesia Eren was carrying. There were so many moments when the great mystery could be solved, but the story decided to delay the big revelation, just to make the plot longer.
The political issues in the plot were... very stupid... I mean, the king was a useless asshole, and no, he wasn't a puppet, he literally was a retard who was sitting on the throne, just to feign he was the authority... and no one in the town had suspicions about him?... ok?
Anyway, I could spend hours and hours speaking on every single flaw this anime has, but my point is clear, this anime is shit 4/10

The movie is mediocre, I can appreciate the animation and the art direction, and we can also say that the way the story rolls is pretty interesting, the characters meet each other by switching body's and living the life of each other... but how exactly am I suppose to believe that something like that can evolve into a romantic connection? They had been doing that to endure the situation they're involve in, there is not a plausible way to think that such a thing can happen in those circumstances, you can feel worried about your survival partner, but you can't feel the desire to be
...
her/his boyfriend/girlfriend, at least not when you are unable to treat with that person face to face.
The time travel is another plot hole, both kids were set on different dates and none of them were able to figure that out (despite they spent like 1 or 2 weeks dealing with the problem)
The whole problem was solved thanks to the magic of the plot armor, since literally everything got solved by a miracle that came out of nowhere, and both kids were able to save the whole town because of that.
5/10 Just another disappointment.

Okay, okay, I admit it, I like this anime... but of course, is not perfect.
Lets begin with the most notorious aspect of the series, the first plot twist was awful because it suddenly introduced the world of the robots without any kind of anticipation, also, the fact that the robots have that chibi design was weird af, actually, the constant lively atmosphere prevented me from taking anything seriously, even when we're talking about an anime where the life is complicated, and people died in such horrible ways. The world was hardly explored, and the plot is (apparently) about changing a corrupt system, nothing really new.
But...
...
What makes this anime so special? Why did I like it? Well, the answer is, because the characters are cool.
The MC is not just an enthusiastic girl who wants to make her dreams come true, actually, her entire motivations are questioned once she discovers the reality, and that has permanent consequences, something quite atypical in the anime industry. But also, we have her master, who has a very lovely interaction with the protagonist, and they complement each other very well.
And that's it, is a very basic story with good protagonists, that at least, tried to do something a bit different than all the modern animes out there, where the concept of a videogame (like SAO) means nothing due to the lack of tension they usually have. Well done Deca-Dence, at least you did something different.

Today on "I can't understand why you like this sh*t so much" We have Re: Zero.
Where should I begin? Let's start with the main feature of this anime, the time reset is the most convenient plot armor I've ever seen, just popping up in the most critical moments, thus destroying the development of the characters; because every time it happened, it fixed all the mess around, and it doesn't leave anything that we could consider substantial. I mean, let's take all the deaths that happened in the first season for instance. Why would you kill anybody dramatically if, at the end of the day, they
...
will back to life? How exactly this will affect the personality of the characters, if every possible consequence just... vanish? Without mention that the checkpoints are most of them very convenient since they always went back to a moment at the story where everyone was alive.
The protagonist is a loser who says motivational speeches and has a superpower that turns him into a very op human being, since he's able to learn and fix everything because of the superpower he has, it results in something unfair; besides that his behavior is inconsistent, there are so many moments when he looks afraid of dying, despite he can return by death, and he has done that before already.
The side characters are terrible, many of them are flat, with absolutely no development, and the few that are explore, just stay there to help the protagonist, they seem to have none of their own will, they just follow the desire of the protagonist.

Ok, let's get to the point.
The protagonist is a fucking gary stu, who is able to beat literally every single obstacle in such an easy way that is almost ridiculous to consider this world as a "dangerous one" For almost half part of the anime, the MC passed the tower tests by doing nothing, without mentioning that he's an irregular, who apparently, automatically gives you a high level of power to beat everyone.
The rest of the cast aren't better, some side characters died or left the series, despite we barely spent time with them, and the attitude of the princesses change deliberately just to move
...
the plot on (Yuri's leaving the black march to Bamm, despite she had doubts about his skills; Androssi hating everyone, just to finished risking her life to save the people she betrayed in the past, etc)
Special mention to the fake feeling of partnership between the characters, the world was made to not trust in anyone, but suddenly everyone decides to be friends, just because, apparently "the power of friendship" is the answer; they barely spent time enough to meet each other.
The world is a bunch of random none sense, I mean, What are the tests actually supposed to test? Who is wisest? Who is the strongest one? Who has the better luck? Every test is solved in the laziest ways possible, whether walking through a wall of water, opening doors just for the sake of it, or playing tags.
It can have some interesting plots, like the backstory of Zahard princesses, but there's nothing that can make up for all their failures.

Gurren Lagan 2... I mean "Promare" it's a film that results very hard to review. Although it's true that the character's behavior and the animation create a very cool aesthetic, it's not a masterpiece, speaking about the animation, it has those sudden frenetic movements with saturated colors that hardly allowed you to appreciate the action.
The narrative is where I found my main problems, for one side, there is the possibility to look at this as a mad action movie, done just for fun, and that pretends to be a rule of cool, therefore, I forget all the plot armors and power-ups (excluding the gay kiss,
...
that was shit) but on the other hand, apparently it also tries to handle some mature subjects; the fact that they used a terrorist organization who suffered many tortures and discrimination prove me right, and it was disappointing that they treat this theme as something childish. The movie victimizes the """"terrorists"""" to the point they claim "We don't kill" and we never saw them murdering for sure, but we saw the other side torturing the "burnish" resulting in a very basic binary form of "the good guys vs bad guys" without any kind of unbiased on it, with no mention that at the final act of the movie, they throw a lot of information that you can barely handle.
It doesn't charge with the emotional weight that works like Gunbuster, Gurren Lagan, or even Kill la Kill had, shows where we actually witness truly sacrifices of the main characters.

I'm completely disappointed with this anime, at the beginning, it looks like a decent shonen with a protagonist who accounts with good motivation, but as the episodes passed, many problems start to appear, first, the art direction has issues, yeah, yeah, the character design and the animation on the action scenes are great, but at the moment they tried to create some certain scenes, their building was lame, many parts of the anime hardly had any kind of appropriate anticipation (like the moment when we find the dead body of Tanjiro’s mother) and they only showed it... just like that, giving the "factor shock" sensation
...
that is always awful, and don't make me start with all the cliffhangers on this show.
The cast is mediocre, although some characters have a backstory, many others hardly show any personality trait, Nezuko is the cute little sister who just does cute things and sometimes, fights, Zenitsu is the bipolar coward who waits till the moment of a dire need to do anything useful, and Inosuke is a mad murderer who just wants to fight; the enemies showed a backstory, but this only appears till they died, resulting in wasted potential
The narrative suffers the problems of the average shonen, power-ups like the seal that allows seeing the arrows, or the moment when the protagonist results being capable to change the water style power to a fire style power, these things that came out of nowhere are the reason of why the anime plot-armors feels lame.
And that's it, a big disappointment to me.

It's furry fanservice, the romance is cancer, they're the most toxic kind of relationship I've ever seen, one is a carnivorous wolf that has the instinct to eat meat, and the female rabbit is a whore who in the last episodes, she lets herself to be eating... because apparently, that's her instinct. The anime gives you a lot of reasons why this relationship is garbage, and the anime is constantly trying so desperately to make it work, and even worse, it's trying so hard to make you believe this is okay.
The world-building is lazy, the police forces, or any kind of government power, hardly has
...
any presence on the show, despite that the social issues that are portrayed (the murder of a herbivorous and the black market) have a lot of weight on the series.
The discrimination subject is inconsistent, for one side, the anime tries to give the idea that it's good for the carnivorous to change their natural behavior, in order to be a good citizen, but then, they even show you how harmful is this to them (when Legosi meets the panda) it's a bit twisted that they showed something that can hurt them as something noble.
The characters are not bad, but all the narrative problems that I've already mentioned prevent this anime to get a high score.

I cannot believe that this anime has become so popular, I mean, Why the heck do you like it? The characters are flat, and they hardly have any charisma; besides, they are actually very inconsistent with their characterization, the main couple is portrayed as model students who are too mature for their ages, and at the same time, they act like childish fools throughout all the anime. No! It's not like, Kare Kano; where the main couple PRETENDS and TRIED to be perfect, here, the author tries to make me feel that they are model students and immature teenagers AT THE SAME TIME, the backstory
...
of the female protagonist and her problems with her father have none repercussion on the relationship.
The comedy is repetitive, only doing jokes about how idiots they are to say something like "I love you" and the romance doesn't progress, it always finished in the same spot, showing that this is only an episodic show with hardly any creativity on it.
