Nineteen
add

Both are by the same author and look at the downtrodden and marginalized of South Korean society. Bad Friend is a single narrative while Nineteen is a collection of short stories. One story from Nineteen is very similar to the narrative of Bad Friend, as they both follow delinquent schoolgirls who grapple with the trajectories of their lives and their physically abusive parents who attempt to curb their attitude.

Dorothy Band
add

Both are comedic adaptations of The Wizard of Oz. Dorothy Band takes a punk music focus and is a bit more radical in adapting the story when compared to the more faithful but sardonic orz.

Haruka na Machi e

...then you might like
Chichi no Koyomi
add

Both are works by Jiro Taniguchi that involve a middle-aged man confronting their youth and their relationship with their parents. They both explore the profound effect that this encounter with the past has on the character now. While Chichi no Koyomi is a reminiscence through memories, Haruka na Machi e involves the character being sent back in time to directly confront the past.

Hadashi no Gen

...then you might like
Grass
add

Both are hard-hitting looks at the civilians who were made victims by World War 2. Grass is about the Korean women forced into sexual slavery by the Japanese forces (comfort women). Hadashi no Gen is about the Japanese survivors of the Hiroshima atomic bomb blast and the struggles they faced thereafter. Both also use plants as metaphors for the resilience of the main characters.

Shinrin Ouja Moriking
add

Both series follow non-human (but mostly humanoid) fighters who take part in a competition for the kingship of their world. In both series, the king candidates pair with humans and fight against other pairs to win the title (though this is not mandatory in Moriking). Comedy is a big aspect in both series, though Moriking tends to be more a comedy-centered series than the more battle-heavy Zatch Bell.

Hyouryuu Kyoushitsu

...then you might like
Yakusoku no Neverland
add

Both series follow a group of children who finds themselves in an unknown, alien-like world and must adapt to survive its dangers. This is not the main premise of Neverland as it is for Hyouryuu Kyoushitsu/Drifting Classroom but rather it describes one part of it after a certain point. Moreover, in Neverland the group is tight-knit, while in Drifting Classroom they are not and that is another aspect that impedes their survival.
