- Characters face a similar ending. - There's a brief moment of redemption for each character. - The tone is similar, as it explores ethical values. - The ending is vastly different than expected/desired from the viewer. look, each anime goes from 0 to 100 real fast, so I'd check out one if you've seen the other.

Look, if none of that convinced you to see the other, the only thing that could sway your opinion is the fact that there's two cases of anime girls firing highly dangerous weapons at each other.
