"Kotonoha no Niwa has explained the concept of maturity in the most beautiful way possible."
Whenever one goes to an amusement park there are always some rides that he or she want to ride again and again because they can't get enough of it, Kotonoha no niwa presents you with a similar ride. From the director of "Hoshi no Koe" and critically acclaimed "Byousoku 5 Centimeter " comes another mesmerizing story about affection between two people who are in different phases of their life yet they stand as each other's pillar.
PLOT- Takao, who is training to become a shoemaker as his hobby, skipped school
...
and is sketching shoes in a Japanese-style garden. He meets a mysterious woman, Yukino, who is older than him. Then, without arranging the times, the two start to see each other again and again, but only on rainy days. They deepen their relationship and open up to each other. But the end of the rainy season soon approaches because of which they saw each other less and less but during that time they found the importance of the other person in lifting them which create weird circumstances.
The fact that the animation department have gone to great lengths to animate the real modern Tokyo is remarkable in itself. There will be many moments when you will remain awestruck by the beauty of the shots. For the part of character designing the team has done a decent job, Takao's character came out perfectly as a matured yet dreamy kid and Yuki came out as a harmless good hearted but damaged adult. To make something on the theme of an age-gap relationship is quite an challenging task as it mostly comes out as immodest but Kotonoha takes the story in the most straight forward and innocent way possible. It covers the problems of two generations simultaneously by their interactions with each other.
Being only of 45 minutes many must think that the story must be not deep but Makoto Shinkai the director shows off his art by making a heartfelt story in this limited time and that too without any visible rushing. The BG music was a cherry on the top, it resonated with the beauty we saw on screen. Voice actors did a decent job in bringing out the characters emotions.
Every once in a while you come across some shows that leave a mark on you. These are the stories which "makes us think about how we think" and at the end makes us "what we are".
A beautiful tale which captures your heart and makes you believe in the sincerity of the interactions with other known and unknown people that we make.
A story that gives you a grandiose setting, spectacular characters and heartwarming moments that will imprison you for 45 minutes.
Verdict- A must watch. Highly Recommended.

"Planetarian is an one in many futuristic possibilities of our world."
Humanity is almost extinct due to some type of biological attack 30 years ago. Out of the people left some are called "Junkers", who scavenge for foods and goods from the destroyed cities to survive. Now one such "Junker" Kuzuya is searching for supplies in one such ruined city called Sarcophagus City, escaping from some bots he enter into an old military facility where he meets a robot who has been on sleep for almost 30 years.
...
The robot Hoshino Yumemi is a companion type robot who used to work in this Planetarian, she as a robot believes the Junker to be his first customer in 30 years and treats him accordingly but the machines being inactive for a long time have damaged so as it turns out Kuzuya somehow is trying to repair the telescope which Hoshino-chan lovingly call "Jena-san".
So the anime is pretty much about the conversation between those two.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are 3 new rules of (my) reviewing-
First rule- No anime is shit
Second rule-No anime is shit
Third rule-You don't have to agree with me(even sometimes I don't agree with myself)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is based on the following parameters--
1)What is good about it?
2)(Probability of)Whom'll the anime appeal to?
3)Questions that other reviews raised in your head.
P.S.-If you don't want to read the whole, read the summary at the end of every question.
======================================
1)What is good about it?
Some anime are made for pure enjoyment, to make us laugh and sometimes to make us cry but some anime offer you something more than enjoyment i.e. a thought. The good stories will always leave a question in your mind to ponder upon. Planetarian is one of them. Like I said in the first line of my review that "Planetarian is an one in many futuristic possibilities of our world." so when we watch things like these we tend to go into retrospect about or ways, s one wise man once said " A Human's worst enemy is he,himself." this kind of possibility even might be inevitable. Plantarian here offers you a perspective research of our developmental achievements. It unravel the condition of the future generation which has been deprived from all the beauty in this world because of us- the present generation who are too greedy to look over the materialism of the world. Like in the movie "Life is Beautiful", Guido tries to keep the war, the hate, the negativity away from his son Joshua so that he could see the real beautiful world that he believed in. It's just that we stick too close to these walls of problems, hatred and egoism which have always been stationary but it is us who can't get away from these walls, it's just that when we are too close to these walls we think of them to be infinite, to be never ending but if you get a little away from it you'll find ways at both its ends to go around it.
Music and animation are quite good. Background music especially engross the watchers into the sad theme that the show offers.
A beautiful story can be told magnificently like in movie "Avatar" or can be told humbly like in "The Man from the Earth" but it doesn't make one better than the other. The two characters in Planetarian are the model of perspectives of the then world. On one hand a human who is trying to survive, to him his life relies on the next move he makes. His mind will be in constant chaos with singular things whereas there stands a robot who can't comprehend the emotional manifestation of a human in a time like this, her thoughts and capabilities are limited in demand of her tasks. Earlier I talked about how Guido help his son to see the beautiful world through his eyes similarly Hoshino-san does this for Kuzuya unknowingly. She shows his chaotic mind the calmness of the mesmerizing world of stars and ran through him the reasoning of mankind and the beautiful world as it was. The story of the future is told and retold with different characters and different settings but what they all give us is an "ideal", it is there to remind us of the truth we most likely forget.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary: Offers you a show with a conflicted future from the perceptions of a robot and a man. Music and animation are satisfactory. The story itself will keep you thinking about the situation the characters stand in. It also has a accurate portrayal of the conversations with the robot. It is not much of scenic beauty but it has its moments.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2)(Probability of)Whom'll the anime appeal to?
Appealing is quite an uncertain thing, it is sometimes spontaneous and sometimes it takes time but it happens differently for different people. As I have said before that this anime is more about talking, it is a serious and quite a sad but a brave show. So people who are at this particular time looking for action, romcom or any type of romance or comedy you should wait a while before you watch this show. This is a type of show you should go through for once in a while. Some tend to characterize shows but I think one could see most of the shows but it must be seen at the right time with the right state of mind. If you are in a mood for some understanding and attentive listening you should go for it.
Note-Third question will be updated after the show is completed.
I personally like shows that make me think about the possibilities, that make me glance a peek of the many altering futures that are ever changing with action we take this day, this hour, this minute and this second. It make me realize the vastness of our world but at the same time also reveal that how even a small insignificant action might affect this vastness.
Verdict:- Planetarian is no masterpiece but it made me think.

Note:Talks in general for both seasons but preferably review for first season.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alright when I first watched the show I didn't find it that special but some time later when I re-watched both season I found myself to admire this piece of masterpiece. The Soliloquy-- that Hachiman processes was expertly and awesomely written.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are 3 rules of reviewing-
First rule- No anime is shit
Second rule-No anime is shit
Third anime-No anime is shit
...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1)What is good about it?

3)Questions that other reviews raised in your head.
P.S.-If you don't wan to read the whole, read the summary at the end of every question.
======================================
1)What is good about it?
Each story has a flow meaning how it is presented, what it presents and why was it even presented, so here you have a High School Average loner guy Hikigaya Hachiman -with the dead fish eyes- who has a crazy but quite logical way of thinking, "Stay away from people, stay away from problems". Now he is put in a situation where he has to help other people with their problems as club activity and ofcourse it is forced upon him by his over too friendly (but sexy) homeroom teacher. So that's that but now lets talk about what is special about it from other rom-coms.
First of all a (mostly true) fact, the anime that are adapted from light novels have kind of kickass dialogues but in this one each and every monologue and dialogue was skillfully badass-lly written and executed.
Animation and music was good. It was quite suitable for a romcom and gave the characters a good overall.
Hikigaya-kun is faced with his rival Yukino-chan who is charming, beautiful, too smart, too rich and uhh loner..yea right... Now the smartass teacher has thrown them inside the ring to knock...no..no..no... help each other out. Here I would like to point out especially the conversation between these two is on the other level.
Chemistry. Now the special thing about the relationship between characters is their chemistry, do they react do a explosion or they just stay water. The chemistry between Hikigaya-kun, Yukino-chan and Yui-chan(who is the second cute girl) do quite a reaction.
Now the weird thing, this point that I'm going to give I'm not sure is good or not so you better decide it for yourself. This youthful romantic comedy is fucking complex love story, I think its good, in my opinion it takes a dive into the depths of the characters to present them true to a human nature which is one of the unexplained mystery of the universe.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary: Loner MC with a theory of staying away from people to stay away from problems, forced to join a club to help people, meets a girl who becomes his rival and potential love interest. Awesome monologues and dialogues.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2)(Probability of)Whom'll the anime appeal to?
As I have pointed out the show has its main dealings in its specialties in dialogues so people who don't like to listen to stuff you should probably skip it...nah I'm just joking around, in my opinion for this type of show you need a particular state of mind and anybody would love this show.
3)Questions that other reviews raised in your head.
*Exaggeration of one's characters- Yeah maybe ..but who wouldn't in a romcom.
*Why are there not many question for this one-Go try it for yourself. :)

This REVIEW is the review of all the REVIEWS out there for this anime.
P.S-Read the synopsis first. This does not contain any type of story but it'll give you the answer to the question of WHY?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are 3 rules of reviewing-
First rule- No anime is shit
Second rule-No anime is shit
Third rule-No anime is shit
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
...
It is based on the following parameters--
1)What is good about it?
2)(Probability of)Whom'll the anime appeal to?
3)Questions that other reviews raised in your head.
P.S.-If you don't want to read the whole, read the summary at the end of every question.
======================================
1)What is good about it?
As a regular watcher of anime, I can vouch of the good premise it offers. The setting set is intriguing and hilarious itself.
It is stupid. Yes, the fact that it is stupid makes it better. There are a lot of things wrong in it if you measure it with your logic meter but if you just watch it for fun it may also become one of your favorites.
The comedy. As given its genre, the show's main feature is comedy which is similar to almost all others in the same genre.
It is not serious. Now this is questionable that this is a good point but still I'll put it here anyway. People are more interested in gore and action packed stuff, now this here is a light show with some action and more reasoning.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary: Mild but good action with regular but well timed comedy with a carefree interesting premise.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2)Whom'll the anime appeal to?
There are many type of anime watchers--casual ones, picky ones, serious ones, fanboys/girls and other brats. Here the question is to who'll the anime appeal?
If you know what type of watcher you're let me make it easier for you. It is not the most logical or realistic anime(like most ones), so if you tend to find (too much) reason in the things you watch you might wanna skip it. But if you want to pass your time carefree you jump right into it.
Appealing is a spontaneous thing and there is not any particular said reason behind it. So there is not any surety, but we can still consider the possibility of it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary: If you find concept of appealing weird or wrong you should go ahead (Probability=1) but if not try and decide for yourself.(0<Probability<=1)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3)Questions that other reviews raised in your head.
*Overrated--Yes it is. But it doesn't matter it is still a fun show.
*Stupid--I too said it is stupid but that is what it makes it what it is.
*Fanbase and anti fanbase --No need to say anything.

"Some stories are not meant for everybody"
Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge is a comedic masterpiece in its own way.The timing, the flow are gracefully adjusted to the story.
As I said it's not everyone's cup of tea, those of you who are looking for regular mainstream, this is not for you.
Story-8/10
It does not follow any particular story line, it's somewhat of a freestyle-type anime, like random interactions of characters.
Music-9/10
Music is very lazingly soothing, very much reflecting the true nature of the anime, the OP song is especially good.
...
Characters-10/10
Slice of life anime are majorly character-based hence it's an integral part which with characters like tanaka-kun(lazingly awesome), oota-kun(unexpectedly reliable)and miyano(drastically cute) the anime has perfectly displayed.
Art/character design-9/10
Art is in coherence with the atmosphere the anime gives, character are designed beautifully too.
All in all, it is worthy to be watched once.
I recommend that when you are slightly up for some lighthearted comedy with some epic dose of laziness ....Please try Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge. ~(-_-~)

*ATTENTION*
Do I have your attention now?...hehe
Boku no Hero Academia is not like your every shounen anime. This (and One punch man) is kind of "shounen gone american" version, like the concept of superhero society spreading around which is(and I mean it) certainly not a bad thing. We all watch things for something new but once in a while who doesn't like combos (here bit american-japanese).
Izuku Midoriya is your nerd with hell-lot of bravery who wants to become a hero no matter what. SO it's the story of the journey of this boy from being a zero to some ass-kicking-badass-'all-might'y hero......
The universe of My hero Academica
...
is where everybody(almost) have some kind of power or quirk (in anime's terms), now according to their powers they become either heroes or live normally. Now Izuku (I think u already know) is our powerless but passionate wannabe hero, the emotions, the feelings that he carries are one of the +points and is beautifully portrayed. Every hero story needs a rival either in a form of enemy or friend-now here we have Bakugou who is one arrogant prick but yet overwhelmingly powerful, he my friends makes a great rival who is standing on the brink of the pit of evil held by Izuku from the other end. No matter which universe we go we all stay human, hence it is yet another saga of struggle against the odds. Ofcourse (you know) there is also an evil organisation at work who like any other one believes in extermination of all heroes and bring darkness, so what their plan is..>.>(don't worry not tellin) but they still have a big plan they need to execute...so now our Hero Academica will try and stop them..
So let the game begin...
Art/Animation-9/10
Animation is not 'WoW' but it is good, somewhat like in every other anime, it's pleasant to watch.
Music/Sound/Voice Actors-9/10
Music is good...OP is "The Day" by Porno Graffitti and ED is"HEROES" by Brian the Sun....Background music in important and fighting scene is badass,cool...Voice actors are good..I personally quite like Urakawa's voice done by Ayane sakane (She's super cute ...(~ ~))
Characters-8/10
Izuku is good earnest hero, Bakugou is your 'almost evil'-hero, Todoroki is your 'all powerful yet in pain' hero and many more interesting ones.I've read it's manga first and I think you can see a character more truthfully in it's original form, so what I can say is that the character don't have that much depth (but anyway when did shounen heroes had any depth...ლ(o◡oლ)) but still they do the task.
Anyway it's a show with a great potential as Masashi Kishimoto said. I personally think it's a must watch as for seeing the sort-of changing trends in anime industry.
Result::GO AND WATCH IT and see for yourself, alrighty!!!!(Surely, worth a try)

Review
Bakemono no ko
"We all have a sword in our hearts."- Kumatetsu
The fact that with over ¥5.8 billion in total, Bakemono no Ko was Japan's second highest-grossing domestic film of 2015 speaks for itself. Bnk is like a (more) supernatura-lised version of "The Jungle Book".(Of course in a good way). It talks about a lot of emotions one go through losing their parents, how their relatives treats them, the loneliness that comes with it and then the part of attachments that make you stand once again ,the growth, the relation that crosses the boundary of being different species(more humanly terms- different cultures)and then it drives towards
...
one's true identity, the eternal question about where they belong and what are they born for .Talking about the darkness that dwells in our hearts, the hatred in one of the most objectified ways.
Alright then, here we go...
Art-10/10
Splendid. Yes, BnK truly deserve this word from its first letter to last. Winning the Japan Academy Prize for Best Animated Feature just confirms the fact. So you can sure expect some eye-candy stuff. Alrighty.
Characters- 9/10
What do you expect of a character? That it should be strong-willed, be resolute, a pinch of 'funny' and have some development over time....it will do it, right? Well you will find plenty of this in kyuuta and Kumatetsu.
Music-9/10
Background music was good and intelligently placed. "Starting Over " by Mr Children was a really good heartfelt song, a much needed for this movie.
Voice Actors-10/10
Seiyuu in the movies are almost always awesome. It is like their voices has a impact on the viewers which very much defines the outcome of the movie as a whole. In this one too it was a job well done. Kyuuta is voiced by Aoi Miyazaki(who did voice of Hana in Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki )..
Story play/Narration-9/10
The story has a good flow. It is one of those, which have a lot of silent scenes(without voices or music) but good ones(well directed, I must say). No particular narration is there.
Story-8/10
The story talks about a lot of aspects/nature of life. Loneliness, Relationships-friendships, parent-child relation; a place to belong, about finding oneself, about development/growth....which is good but to put them all together is one hell of a task and Hosoda Mamoru (Director) has truly worked hard to pull it all together but the fact that movies have a time limit, kind of backfired . But still the other things cover up for this.
Enjoyment-9/10
As I said before, Bnk is a eye-candy. It is a sure-sure enjoyable movie. It is one of the movies that makes you think about several things.
All in all, it is a piece of beautiful art which you will come across, now or in the future. It will touch your heart like a sweet and tender kiss which makes you always longing for more.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
"Time waits for no-one"
Time travel, time leap, time diving -the things that have intrigued us humans for generations. But beyond its possibilities and fascination, time travel is indeed a frightening thought/concept.
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time bring along a simple story of a clumsy girl who gains the power to leap through time. As she uses the power she seem to understand what her actions can lead up to and how it affects other.
Art-10/10
If someone asks that if you had a choice which country's pizza would you like to eat, most would answer Italy, because it's obvious that you would
...
find best pizzas there. Similarly Japanese anime movies have their so-called trademark animation which is not Disney-like or like any other country it is just DIFFERENT. What remains is one fact that is it suits the story and catches the eye which is enough to call it good ART. The animation was beautiful which won it the Animation of the Year in Tokyo Anime Awards, 2007.
Characters- 9/10
The character design was good, especially of Makoto, the different emotions and reactions are realistic yet adorable. It was the regular school-anime-type characters but they still had a warmth in them which made them lovable.
Music-9/10
Music was nice, typical for a bit-romance movie.
Voice Actors-10/10
Voice of the characters is like the heart of anime. Voice actors in movies are specially good, in this one too. Makoto and Chiaki had a great voice so did others.
Story play/Narration-9/10
Directed by Hosoda Mamoru, the story was well put. There was no particular narration, it had a straightforward screenplay which was best suited for the story.
Story-8/10
Through the concept of time travel a light-hearted story is told which is enjoyable yet thoughtful. It didn't have any particular problems so you can say it was a complete story in itself but as you know the story talks to yourself so you can judge it by your own virtues but still all in all it is a NICE story.
Enjoyment-9/10
It will give you a nice experience with some things to thought through-like how we wish to do things over again. You definitely wouldn't get bored (no matter you watch anime or not)
In a nutshell it is a movie you should watch, if you like to undertake new ventures.

Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki
"A beautiful tale told beautifully"...
Most of the anime movies are a delight to watch, so was this. This supernatural story was animated in the most humane way possible.
Art-9/10
It's art is exceptional. Some of the scenic shots were just mesmerizing. All in all, the art totally suits the atmosphere the story creates.
Characters- 10/10
...
We are always judging people around us, while watching this movie it would feel like that struggling hard-working mother is another person rather than a character. The kids were shown almost true to their nature-the never ending smile, the rebelliousness, the honesty were a pleasure to see.
Music-9/10
The music in the movie was like a stream of water, like it was always there as a part of the whole. It gave a much needed hype in this emotional ride.
Voice Actors-10/10
There is one thing I love about most of the anime movies i.e. the voice of the characters. Hana's voice was simply like that of an angel. It gives an unknown relief and comfort when you hear their voice. It's truly an remarkable and astonishing ability.
Story play/Narration-10/10
The story was told by Yuki-the daughter. It was an intelligent choice as she was more on the human side which makes it easier for us to be comprehended. The flow of the story was as swift as wind, it looked like it had a life of its own.
Story-10/10
The unknown is a word of which people are both excited and fearful but if I had to choose I would say the ratio of fear is greater. This story of the unknown tells the most about us--the humans. It shows our different reactions to it. A good story is one which pulls the listener to its world and forces them to think, which this does exceptionally well.
Enjoyment-∞
For these type of movies I think the enjoyment can't be judged, I think.
In a nutshell, this movie should be shown to all, anime and non anime viewers, everyone would love it.

"What does it mean to be yourself?".
This line pretty much summarizes what this anime is about.
First of all I would list its good points:
1) Beautiful-pure art & animation:This is one of the best animation I've seen in animes. As a slice of life anime it is pretty much an "ideal".
2)Fabulous setting and story:The story is unique yet common. It is shown in a funny way but with the truth of our true fights with our true self.People tend to forget what's important and this anime pretty much bring it in front of our eyes.
3)Lovable characters:Personally I think this is it's strongest point. Hanada-sensei as a genius-yet-loner
...
calligrapher who hit an old man because he bad-mouthed his calligraphy, Naru - a cheerful(too much but in a cute and funny way) kid who is the heart of this show and many more.
4)Music-OP & ED were beautifully composed and written ,totally in accordance with the anime plot.
Alright so i have pointed out some good points about it but everything has a bad side so I would also like to point them out:
1)It is a simple story. If you are not interested in life-philosophy stuff then this anime is not something you are looking for now.
2)It's a breather type of anime so if you are not looking for something refreshing you should skip it.
In the end I would like to suggest one thing that you must see this anime one time or add to your "to watch list".It is a type of manga which might motivate about life more.
So that's that.
Result:Strongly recommended.
