Keeping it short and to the point.
This show is so good, animation and story wise.
I feel bad for all the people who avoided it due to the premise.
There are definitely some ecchi moments, but it's predominantly slice of life and comedy.
The art style and color palettes used in this show was pretty refreshing per the usual anime.
The VAs were very expressive and sold the characters.
The animation work is top notch.
The situations and topics covered in the show covered both anime tropes and relatable, realistic events.

People upset at this anime need to lighten up...
I know the tags for this show are "Rom" and "Com," but I think it's considerably more "COM" and less "rom." I genuinely view this show as satire, and if you do too, you can truly enjoy the ridiculousness that it has to offer. A quick comparison: I see this show as a parody of the whole RomCom genre (not to say RomCom is bad or is worth parody-ing), but it is what it is. Same how Konosuba is a parody of the whole Isekai genre and is not to be taken seriously as an isekai itself. But again, it is ... Dec 24, 2022
Bocchi the Rock!

From overall character design, themes explored, animation quality, animation variety, and VA work, Bocchi The Rock has exceeded all expectations and more.
The CGDCT + Music theme has long been left unfilled since the end of K-On! Bocchi The Rock has successfully carried the torch and matched their energy. Huge props to CloverWorks this entire 2022 year. If KyoAni didn't exist, CloverWorks would be my #1 studio. Perhaps one of the biggest reasons people enjoyed this show was because of how accurately portray the life through the lens of a person who has severe social anxiety. Absolute nail on the fucking head, I tell ya. *Minor spoiler-ish* I would like ... Sep 18, 2022

I wouldn't consider dropping a show once it becomes a chore to watch. But I WILL drop it if it CONTINUES to feel like a chore to watch.
To be fair, I am tackling 5+ shows at the moment, and with every new episode release that I have to catch up with, I have to make decisions. Unfortunately, Hataraku Maou-sama S02 did not make that list. I pretty binge watched Season 01 due to the Reddit hype revolving around Season 02. I found the show just okay. But man, did Season 02 not hook me at all. And I'm not sure who is coordinating the QC of ... Apr 3, 2022

The best accident to have ever stumbled upon.
I was randomly searching for a new SoL anime to watch. What I expected just from the title card on the CrunchyRoll anime page was something normal and wholesome slice of life, but instead I received awkward greatness! I, like most people who have NOT read the manga, got totally jebaited by the thumbnail AND the OP. At first the art change caught me by surprise, and I honestly didn't like it at first. But as I watched a bit longer, I found myself giggling like a little kid. This show will keep a smile on your face with ... Mar 26, 2022

This show is fantastic. This is the first time I've watched an anime series where EVERYTHING in the show seems so real - what I mean by that is, the plot development, character development, all of it was so relatable.
The themes this manga/anime covers were so "human." It's a shame that most people won't give this show a chance because of its "ecchi" tag, but that honestly takes a backseat to the romcom and slice-of-life elements. This show is both deceivingly and sickeningly wholesome! This anime took me on a real feels-trip. CloverWorks really outdid themselves this season. If you're reading this, just do yourself a favor and watch ... Mar 4, 2022

The greatest slice of life to have ever been conceived.
Timeless is one appropriate word to describe Azumanga Daioh. The anime released in 2002. My first exposure to this anime was back in 2012. Rewatched it again (for like the... 4th time?) recently and finally uploading a review. I digress. The art is adorable. The characters are all unique in their personalities and backgrounds. My absolute favorite thing about the show is how it does comedy. The timing for the jokes and how they're executed is spectacular, all while sharing the experiences of every day life. I urge anyone who is a fan of slice of ... |
