I'm not a fan of vampire stories, at all, I never have been. Vampire genre always reminds me of some cheap books and movies (such as Twilight). I don't like Kuroshitsuji nor Vampire Knight.
And well, this anime got me, it is quite a series. With wonderful pacing and great vibe. This anime would have gotten a better score from me, if not for various small things that I didn't like at all.
I'm still surprised that I enjoyed vampire series.
SCORES
STORYLINE:
Here we find ourselves in a small village of Sotoba, there's only 1300 residents in the area. It's a small, separated village, barely anybody notices
...
it.
For some reason outsiders move in to the village, they live in a castle of sorts.
From the time when they moved in, mysterious deaths occur. Young Doctor Ozaki (which is one of the main characters) tries to investigate the matter, thinking that an epidemic has began in the village.
Then he realizes that the reason for these deaths might be something more supernatural, and that's when the story begins to snowball. We get to know about the vampires and their thoughts about what they are doing.
That they are really doing anything wrong, they just eat.
But they eat people.
VIBE:
The authors build a really creepy and unsettling vibe. For the first like 10 episodes you get to investigate yourself, what is exactly going on. Nothing is really explained and yet so much is showed. That's the mystery part.
I love this anime for its depth. Not only it provides existential thought, but also shows the unfinished conflict between what's wrong and what's right. For me it was a really emotional experience that made me think about life, death and the omnipotence of our world.
Those are really in-depth thoughts and I enjoy every series that makes me think about that.
Moreover we have two characters that, although being friends, have the exact opposite way of thinking, at times it was frustrating and badly executed, but mostly its a good motive and I enjoyed it.
ART STYLE:
It is certainly an art style that fits thriller/horror genre. It is dark, it has scary faces, weird animations and such.
Although some characters look a bit weird, like Natsuno or Seishin, I like it. Especially the backgrounds were they are, so-called background porn.
I also like how they drawn the main vampires, they look scary and mysterious with their black-out eyes.
At least its original, I haven't seen an anime that drew characters such as this one.
MUSIC/VOICEACTING:
Let's start with music here. Opening and ending was pretty average, I certainly won't be listening to that outside the anime. But the soundtrack is pretty awesome. Especially the part with the girl singing "Laaalaaalaaaa". It's quite creepy and when it appeared I always got some goose bumps.
Mostly the soundtrack is quite creepy, which is good it matches the genre. And then you can find some really good sad pieces of music, with piano and bells, really nice.
About the voice acting. I'm always watching anime in Japanese, so I'm talking about the Japanese version. I only manages to recognize one voice, which is great, I love when it happens. It only means that the authors made the effort to look for other people, than use those popular ones.
It was great, especially with the main vampires, they have wonderful voices, and they act amazingly, that's how I would see vampires talking.
But overall it was amazing, people cried, people shouted, people whispered, people were scared. It was a pleasure to listen to.
Conclusion:
In the conclusion I'm just gonna say that it's a really good anime. One of the best mysteries I've seen so far. There's gore, there's creeps and great plot. It's a good combination of pacing and action, very nice job. Hopefully this series can reach more people, and more people will understand it. Even those who don't really like vampire genre, such as myself!

Shinsekai Yori looks like a almost perfect anime, almost. It's not a very popular choice and it's a shame, because it is an anime that a lot of people could very much enjoy.
There is something different about this series, something mysterious that draws your attention.
It actually stands for what it's called, it's a story from the New World.
It's crazy how this series will treat you with new information as the time passes, this anime will slowly show you the truth behind everything, this series is based on words, every single word counts, you need to listen carefully.
Because the New World, is a different world.
SCORES
STORYLINE:
Basically you
...
follow a story of a group of children. They live in a society where people can use telekinesis, they actually polish that ability in schools, that tends to be the only thing they learn at school. This society could be called an "utopia", perfect society with perfect families, perfect virtues and perfect decisions.
Basically no big deal, they have some really nice lives and it's pretty good.
They main protagonist try to deal with the psycho powers and the "perfect" society they live in.
VIBE:
Well, you get the "mystery" stuff very much while watching this. I like the feeling that something is on, but you are not really certain what. It's very unpredictable and you can't really come up with what will actually happen next. I like that tension, it makes you wanna know what's next, so you keep watching with interest.
There were no jokes around, which I liked, sometimes in animes you get that really serious plot which drags you onward to watch the whole series in one day, and then it is all destroyed by a ecchi joke.
No, youre not getting that here. Every single second of this show is grave serious, no jokes, only plot matters. And then there are emotions.
And like the best ever character development, best freaking ever.
Overall it's the one I like the most, serious, without any interruption of a bad joke.
I dont mean that I hate bad jokes, I like them, I just hate them when they are in a place they were not supposed to be in.
ART STYLE:
Hey, it's one of the prettiest animes out there, that is what I think at least. The best thing the managed to do here, is the growth of the characters. Well you follow their lives, so you will see how their looks develop, and that was done quite accurately, I loved that myself.
Not only that you can experience a beautiful scenery of Japan presented there, loads of forests, loads of mountains, and magnificent sunrises.
It was one of the best visual experiences Ive ever had.
MUSIC/VOICEACTING:
The was no opening music, which is a shame, I tend to love these, but the music was pretty awesome! They had a repetitive motive theyve gone with (made like 5 different tracks from the same theme, just changed a bit), but it is awesome, I myself love what they had in store. A choir of children combined with drums and bells, it matched vibe quite well.
CONCLUSION:
In the conclusion I can say that it's a series you can really enjoy while watching it in the evening, with the lights turned off. It's an anime that lets you think about different aspects of life. And it's a anime that will surprise you, there's a lot of plot-twists there.

Psycho-Pass is one of these series that let you peek into future, to see how it will look like, it gives this realistic feeling of a existing world, with people and entities inside. That gives you a thought which is followed by questions. Can a world like this really exists? Is this a good way of living? I can see the cons, but there is also a lot of pros of this kind of life, right?
Psycho-Pass might be that one series which will make you mad in a positive way.
SCORES
STORYLINE:
Now this is a real deal. The first episodes are nicely executed, you get to
...
know what's going on, and how this world functions. Every person is judged by machines, since "humanity has found the secret behind human's soul". Every person is given a certain Psycho-Pass, based on the scan. The scan is translated into certain rank and number which tells people, if the person might be dangerous. Every person that is above a certain number is considered a potent criminal and is removed from the society.
The action starts in the middle, where basically everything happens, and then the show finishes in a weird way. I myself liked the very end, but not especially the way it was brought to.
It's a bit difficult to judge it, it is definitely good to watch, the world they live in is especially interesting, it makes you wanna know how it actually works.
VIBE:
This anime tends to be very dark-ish. It's wants to be very gloomy and creepy at times. Which they manage to do, some cases that are solved there are really out of this world.
But overall they managed to do what they wanted to do. Make a dark-ish vibe that might give you goose bumps, when you think deeper about the matter.
ART STYLE:
I like it very much. As I said before they manage to provide a dark-ish vibe around it. I especially like the character models of men, they are really up there, when you look at Kougami, you feel the manliness coming out of him, lovin it.
What I didn't like though, were women faces, they look kinda derpish. It's about the eyes, I guess they tried to make it original, but it didnt work that well. Most women in this series look bad.
But when you look at the city, there's that feeling of futuristic Japan. It's big, it's shiny and full of people, it's pretty awesome to look at. Especially for people like me, who are mostly scared of enormous cities.
MUSIC/VOICEACTING:
Let's talk about music for starters.
I love all endings and openings, they are so freaking good, every and each one of them fits the style of the series and fits my tastes of music, lovin the choices.
About the soundtrack. You basically taste that futuristic music, with weird machine sounds, it's not bad, of course not! It fits the anime a lot, but I myself would not listen to it outside the anime, which is a shame. I cant really connect any feelings from anime to the soundtrack they provide.
Voice acting is so good, it's an awesome quality. Their voices are the best for the characters they made. I didn't like main protagonists voice, I guess it's my personal preference, but the voice sounded like a 12-year-old child was speaking, and I couldn't really bear that (even though I know this is Kanade's voice from Angel Beats).
Conclusion:
Well the conclusion is simple, it's a good anime, that none can copy, which is what I am mostly looking for. I myself was mostly interested in how this world with a new judgment system works, it is interesing to look at people in a world that in future could be ours.

On the first glance, Log Horizon, was like a cheap copy of Sword Art Online (which was not exactly the best anime ever, being good even though). 4-5 episodes passed and I was thrilled. Suddenly I understood the difference. As a gamer, and a person that used to spent a lot of time on MMO games, this was a real hit.
They were actually in a world, that was a game in every single bit. It was a MMO in every single bit. Every detail that a MMO game could have was implemented in the anime, they knew what they were doing from the very beginning.
...
And that is what I liked the most. The details they managed to put into it, even small things.
And if you are a gamer, you will understand every single bit of what the characters are doing, and how they behave, its impossible to not love this anime, when you are a gamer.
It's a adventurous experience with a ton of thinking and plot to it. I am a big fan of this thing!
SCORES:
STORYLINE:
This anime seems to be nothing you expect it to be. In the beginning I thought that the storyline is not polished and pretty simple, hopelessly copied, that's what I thought.
And then you see that sudden change, and you understand everything.
Basically, people that played the game called Elder Tale, woke up in the game, like it was real life.
Everything became a chaos. People had to unite, had to form some sort of government, some sort of law, some sort of city and community.
And then the world progresses.
And you witness the beautifulness of it.
VIBE:
For me this certain vibe is special. It is because you can feel that these people are gamers, and like every serious gamer, they are unique in their own way. I like it, because I can sympathize with those people a lot, I can almost feel what they feel. I can understand their problems there, and the thing they are afraid of.
And also their very desires.
And well, let's be honest. It's essentially a game, they are in a game. How could I not love that world!
Sometimes, because of that. You might think, for just a while.
Would you actually want to be in a world like this?
Coz that is a question, theyve been asking themselves this whole time.
You better think about it, Im not the one telling you, what you need to do.
It's your damn life.
ART STYLE:
I do really think, that the art style could be a lot better. I don't find it either original nor good. It's even below average. They happened to make everything a bit "squaery", which is what I don't really like. Some characters that are supposed to be pretty or cute, are essentially not, which is a shame. Because they try to convince you that they are that way.
Although I do think that fights are done with a great detail, animation quality there, seems to be good enough. And then, I even hate to say it. Sometimes it's bad, because it's just made with worse quality! You have to be consistent with what you are doing.
I can also say, that there is a purpose for the art style to be that way, but even though it could have been prettier.
MUSIC/VOICEACTING:
Some tracks from the soundtrack are awesome, and some are not to even listen. At least I dont like them, unfortunately the these worse ones, make the majority of the soundtrack. They tend to fuse a woman singing voice track with a 8bit old-school track. I don't like that, they should keep themselves to one thing.
Voiceacting is nice, I didnt find any voice being unattractive or not matching the character, because that tends to happen sometimes.
They even managed to get some surprising manners of talking from the voices we already heard, which was indeed incredible. I like when a whole character develops, it makes it more enjoyable to watch them do stuff.
CONCLUSION:
In the conclusion I would say that this is a good anime, with a bunch of flaws in it. I like it, I'm a gamer, how may I not love it. But I can see those things I consider bad, and it decreases in my eyes. Although I can recommend it to any serious gamer on this planet, they will surely enjoy it! And they will surely respect the main character, he is a gamer with a soul.

Angel Beats is one of the few animes I would recommend to people that didn't watch any anime in their lifes. It's one of the top end series with everything kept at the highest level.
In this certain series you will face laughter, tears and uplifts every now and then. It's a story that will make you think about life, you will ask yourself "Hey, why am I complaining so much?" "Hey, my life is kinda great what am I thinking now?"
Because it's a story about life. About lives that had to be redeemed. That had to be lived again, just because they simply needed that.
What
...
would you do if you had a chance to live your life again unbound? Without any barriers? Without any limitations?
SCORES:
STORYLINE:
The storyline is based around a group of young people, for some reason they are trapped in a different world, not knowing what is exactly going on.
And that drives you in from the very beggining. You simply just want to know what is exactly going on!
And then, slowly, you learn about who they are and what they want. Why are there here.
And those are the best parts, because those character are written with a thought. They are people, they managed to make them like real people. You will be able to sympatize with them easily, which is the best part of the show.
And that is why, you will laugh and cry. Because you will be able to understand them, to comprehend what they were after while doing certain things.
And you will be able to comprehend why is that they are here, together.
VIBE:
It's warm, the vibe is just warm. And while being warm, it can also be cold and dark, to be honest. Mostly you will have a laugh, or at least a smile.
Those jokes there are just silly, but they are silly for a purpose. You can figure this one out while watching the series :)
And when it's cold, it will freeze you. You will burst out in tears. I myself burst out in tears while watching on ceartain scene, with Yui and Hinata, you will get what Im talking about. You surely will.
And that is epic, this series manages to initiate emotions that are exactly opposite to each other. After crying a bunch, you will smile a lot. Right after the scene, you will be happy, even though you cried. And that is what I call a masterpiece.
ART STYLE:
As you can probably notice, its radiant. The colors are bright and happy. Some people might use a little bit of tweaking here and there. But overall I like it. The best thing is that every character is drew with a certain taste, so that they all look different, which is especially nice. I like when characters can be differentiated by just plain symbols.
Animation is great, all the fight and the places theyve been at are pretty. They didnt use any shortcuts while drawing, nothing in distance is blurry or undone.
MUSIC/VOICEACTING:
Ohhhhh, music. I listen to the SONG, yes SONGS, from the series till now. And I watched it a buuuuuunch ago.
There's this band called Girl Dead Monster that was established in the series, making songs and singing them in the series. They also made some bonus songs outside of the series. And I love those, the girls that are singing (there's two of them) have wonderful voices. It makes me remind myself of what happened in the series. And well, the whole music part takes a big role in the anime. It's pretty damn important.
Voice acting is nice. They managed to give every character a recognizable voice, so that they are more original. Some of them even use a special manner of talking! Which is always very funny!
CONCLUSION:
Im gonna repeat myself with what I said in the very beginning. I recommend it to everybody, even those that havent watched any anime in their lifes. This is a good starter.
This anime will be in my mind forever. Whenever I have a bad day I think about those people from Angel Beats. I feel better in a blink of an eye!

Tokyo Ghoul seems to divide people into two groups. One of them saying "season one was ok, but the second season was so bad" and then the other group "hey, I'm quite a fan of that, both were pretty cool".
I guess that both groups have their own rights, and I do respect both sides. Although in this review, I'm going to talk about this series from the side I've chosen. Let me say that loud and clear. I'm quite a fan of that, I think it's a good series with a magnificent plot, a marvelous problem which I would discuss with my friends, and think
...
about even now, not knowing what is the answer.
You might be curious what that discussion might be about.
And well, it's essentially about choosing one side, because you cannot solve this problem by a consensus.
And yes that is the problem, being able to surrender on something, being able to survive, being able to live.
After watching this you might ask yourself, whether what you saw is fair or not.
You might ask yourself if what happened is humanly right.
You might ask yourself, what you would do, what would your behavior be like.
Test yourself, ask yourself. What do you feel.
SCORES:
STORYLINE:
It is very good. Nicely written.
Here we find ourselves in Tokyo. Modern Tokyo to be exact. Humanity faces a problem, that problem is called ghouls. These although, having the looks of a human, are actually predators to humans. They would attack people to devour them afterwards, that's how they eat, that's how they live, and that's the only way they can survive.
You would think. "Hey that is really bad, they all should just die! They kill people, and then eat them!"
But the question that will be asked is.
What are ghouls supposed to do?
VIBE:
Essentially it's a horror anime, but you do know that it is not scary, there's not a lot of anime horrors that would scare you. It's more of a psychological freakout than anything else.
But that is good, it's better than a simple spook, because it makes you think about stuff.
Of course, there is gore everywhere, you can imagine that just from the idea of somebody eating someone. But it's quality gore, they won't exaggerate with blood and body parts flying around, it's simply quality.
I do like it's vibe, it's just making you uneasy, because you experience things from opposite points of view, and from that you get doubts. You start thinking, it makes you uneasy, you see that they are at unease too. It's good, it will keep you going through the whole thing.
It also changes, the vibe changes. I cannot judge if it changes for the better, but it is simply different, I could say, more uneasy.
ART STYLE:
Damn it's pretty, it's damn pretty. You can obviously see that they wanted to make it old-school style, especially the investigators, big guys, big muscles, small heads, small eyes. It works well for the vibe.
Animation quality is awesome, especially in fights, you could imagine that from the people that made Bleach and Naruto, they surely know what they are doing.
There's is nothing in the art style that would make you mad, or unsatisfied. I like the looks of it, it's quality drawing.
MUSIC/VOICEACTING:
I've been listening to opening from that anime for a couple of weeks now, and I can't get enough of it. Acoustic version of it, is even better.
I simply love this soundtrack. Just because you can hear lots of violin there, that is what I simply love. If I could marry violin, I would do it!
CONCLUSION:
I simply think that this is a anime without mistakes. They didn't make any mistakes, at least I couldn't find them. To be honest with you, while turning on the first episode on my PC, I was very pessimistic. I knew it was very popular and often very popular animes are bad. I was surprised, and I am happy to be surprised.
I do think it's not for everybody, but it's a anime to watch. There's a lot to feel, and a lot to experience, if you are able to understand it. Some people might have problems with understanding it, or they might just simply don't like it. I heard people saying that it's "disappointing".
I do not agree with them.

First thing to say, is that you'll find a lot body exposure here, which is followed by funservice elements. I think that funservice might be good, when it's limited to a certain degree, they almost made it balanced.
The most important thing in the plot is love. The one that cannot exist, my favorite kind of romance plot. When people think about the present, forgetting or not thinking about what can happen in future, about the consequences.
Unlike any other anime, this one uses a lot of physical subjects, erotic subjects to be exact, in a interesting way, they way of desire. The way not being touched
...
by anybody for years, which makes you wanna be touched everywhere, when you meet somebody. It's interesting. Unfortunately a lot of times the vibe around it is destroyed, and that is dissapointing.
It's also a mystery story, about vengance and grief.
It's also a story about people's souls and feelings.
And it's also a story of simple students in a weird world.
SCORES:
VIBE:
OK. Vibe. I do like it, especially with all the things they did to make this vibe special. With all the art and music, pretty good.
But I am so dissapointed, so so dissapointed.
The thing is that this series can make you feel a bunch of real emotions, it makes you experience the pitiful sadness. It shows you, how people can crazily do something that, even though it was their decision, will have bad, bad consequences in future, and how they won't think about it. How people can live freely focusing only on the present, and the emotions that are always with them.
And then they just destroy it, they ruin everything. With funservice, with unnecessary comedy bits, with pointless dialogues that won't even contribute to the vibe or plot. And that is dissapointing, very dissapointing.
The authors tried to be outstanding, and yet they wanted to remain in the mainstream, that doesn't work, it just doesn't.
And so the vibe was GOOD, but at times it got ruined as fuck, this anime would be so much better without these unnecessary scenes and comedy.
Because I hate when they try to make "body" subject so serious and then they laugh about it, choose one site. And anwser yourself which is better, and which you have to minimize.
ART STYLE:
It's pretty. It's damn pretty. First of all the art style is up top, the animation quality is great. I love the looks for Yukko-san so much.
But what is outstanding about it is that they managed to make people that should be "original" original. They happened to master the way of making characters with a great look. Even when you compare main characters, you can easily notice which of these are made to be glorious and which are made to look pitiful.
The next thing that I liked were the little touches of screen transitions. They made it diffrently in a way of desiging how to show "talking" scenes, there's a lot of talking there, so they would make you busy with all the arts, bacgrounds and little boxes around, to keep you more interested.
Moreover they masterfully used that in important scenes in the series, managing to make them more enjoyable and basically better.
MUSIC/VOICEACTING:
Oh wow, I seriously do like it. The opening is not one of the best, I must say. But soundtrack cooperates with the series in a great combo. You can obviously hear that in the background.
I liked that authors would make a soundtrack that was only used in one scene, that worked so nicely. Because it was new, and you could feel more emotions in that certain scene, and believe me that scene is great.
It's ideally composed to the genre - mystery, horror, romance. And you can obviously hear that too.
STORYLINE:
The storyline is not as interesting as you would think. There is some grim story behind it, oh there is. But the thing is that, the way towards the revealing of the story is pretty boring. It could have been better.
BUT
I do recommend the story line and the whole series for one big moment, and this one big moment is one of the best scenes in animes ever made. You will embrace such emotions while watching it, and it's worth watching the whole series through, for just this one scene, this one expierience.
You will notice which scene I am talking about. And here is my best advice for you, Im not gonna say anything, Im just gonna say this: Turn off your media player after that scene, don't watch it till the end, and don't watch the other sequel episode.
You can do whatever, that is my honest advice for you. Im not gonna say more, you can probably deduce what I have in mind by saying what I just said.
CONCLUSION:
It's not one of the best animes out there, its pretty average with a good bunch of outstanding elements to it.
The plot sums up to a great scene, which I liked. But unfortunately authors while trying to be outstanding, they forcefully stood in the mainstream.
And that ruined them, it wrecked them apart.
This anime would have been so much better, if only they stuck to one idea for the series.

Here we are in feudal Japan (we dont have the exact time given, you can just deduct it yourself). But this simple world of humans consists of a second world, the mushi one. Mushi are the most basic forms of life in the world. They exist without any goals or purposes aside from simply "being." They are beyond the shackles of the words "good" and "evil." Mushi can exist in countless forms and are capable of mimicking things from the natural world such as plants, diseases, and even phenomena like rainbows. Basically they are a form of life not coexisting with people. BUT sometimes getting
...
in a way with our world.
Not all people can see Mushi there is just a few of them.
The story is connected but not focused on Ginko, a mushishi, which is basically a doctor for problems with Mushi. Mushishi gather knowledge about mushi and then use that to cure people when they interact with human.
Storyline is pretty lazy, which I actually love. There's no actual storyline that we follow, in every episode we have a different story, different thing that happen to come by on Ginkos way. Every episode consist of a story that Ginko tries to solve, where he is not always succesful.
VIBE:
The atmosphere that this series creates is amazing. I recommend watching only one episode per day, the reason for that will be explained in a second. As you will see throughout this series Im a fan of visual expierience, meaning a anime that will give me shivers just by looking at it. Talking is reduced to minimum, music is minimalistic, animation is slow. Everything gives you this special atmospehere of silence. When you listen about those stories of mushi and people, sometimes sad, sometimes creepy or even scary I would say, you will get the shivers. The reason for watching only one episode per day is that you have to have time to think about every episode, I know when youre pumped about an anime you just have to watch the whole series in one day :P But trust me you need time, the thing that Ginko also travels long distances between episodes gives you this feeling that time actually passed.
ART STYLE:
There's not much to say. It's just astonishingly good, you can see that every place that Ginko was at, was designed with every detail. Each face is masterfully animated. Really not much to say, it's just good.
MUSIC/VOICEACTING:
Let's start of with voiceacting. I love it. This is srsly the best voiceacting I ever got in any anime, every voice is original and accurately chosen. You also never heard those voice before for sure. Even Ginkos voice. The only big role for the actor behind his voice was Ginko, congrats to producers for choosing such a great actor, Im glad they looked into it. They could have just got someone famous and not care about it.
The music, daaaaamn. I watched every opening and ending, every single one of them, just because of the music. The openings are original, because they chose indie english music, which is rather weird, often people use just japanese music. Check out Lucy Rose - Shiver, like the best song ever. As I mentioned earlier the music is minimalistic, meaning there is not much to it. 3 sounds cooperating with each other making a simple music, yet it provied superb vibe, and builds up the whole thing.
STORYLINE:
Well there is not much of a story line, so I can't really talk about it a lot. But I can say that story of every episode is different, I remeber watching only one episode that was worse then the other. Only one, the rest of them are just great, the most are amazing.
Well in concusion I say 10/10, I just love these types of animes, and this one was perfectly excecuted. There's also manga of this, so I need to jump on that!

What I mostly love about this anime is the setting it is put in. Middleages, Austria (kinda Austria, a kingdom based on Austria back in that day). Even though it sounds quite generic, you will be surprised how nicely is the whole setting executed. I was satisfied with the middleagy setting more than in any other anime out there. All the people, the taverns, festivals, markets, roads. Everything was made with a thought of middleages, and it felt like middleages all the way through.
I could say that this story is about love. To be specific about a love that can't exists, not because of personal
...
problems. Just because it can't, there's no such way for a human to live and love a god, and a god can't love a mortal. Sooner or later the god will be left alone, with nothing but himself.
But yeah if I said its a story about love only, I would be very wrong. It is also about a tradesman. A very smart one, trying to live in this world by buying and selling goods. Which is nicely done too, considering that every detail of the process of trading is explained. All the schemes they plan, and all the things
they would do to make more money.
This is a story of exceptional life and love.
VIBE:
All right so as I mentioned before, this one is great. You can feel all the middleagey people and culture. I love all the scenes in taverns or at festivals, when they dance, drink and sing. You feel the warmth and freedom of those people. If you're a person that likes middleagey stuff, you will enjoy this sky high. It's a perfectly executed vibe, which will just suck you as you go through the cities, roads, woods and ports.
ART STYLE:
Personally I like it. Buildings and cities are pretty, the landscape shows how this world is open. The forest and mountains will make you hold your breath.
Everyone loves Horo, the main character, the tailed one. Her model is beatutiful and Im not surprised people love her. Overall the artstyle is quite nice.
But sometimes you can see halfassed animations or drawings, and it's a pity, this anime would have been almost perfect if not for this.
MUSIC/VOICEACTING:
Well they had to compose music that would be cooperative with the theme. So yeah you can hear a lot of instruments that poeple of the age would use. And it's pretty good. It fits the whole thing, and basically is nicely done.
BUT I do reckon that openings are masterpieces, in the terms of music and animation the put up for both of them (we've got two seasons that's why). Both of them are in japanese, sang by a woman. I listen to them on a daily basis, can't get enough.
STORYLINE:
I just love the story line it is one of my dearest, when I think about it I get goose bumps.
Maybe you can't really put yourself in the situation of protagonists, but when you try to do it, or just think about it, it gets you. You get, you just know how sad it is and how tragic, the whole story (even though you will laugh, and smile a lot) is.
A love that can't exist and you can do nothing about it. The problem of mortality and immortality. Which is better?
When you look at them, you'll see the suffering, the blockades they want to put up, to not hurt each other or themselves.
It's a sad story packed in a nice setting with jokes around. You have to read into it. And when you understand it, you will be blown away.
CONCLUSION:
I reckon that in the romance department, it's one of the best animes. It shows the true meaning of "I love that person, but I want her to live a better life".
But on the other side you get a great adventure, of a tradesman and his companion, trying to live a good life. Which is amazing, with all the detail presented.
It's a great expierince for a person that can read thorugh the lines, and loves middleages. Just like me, I was blown away.

This anime. I can't even talk about without laughing or smiling. You don't even know what's in here, you won't be able to expect what will happen, you cannot predict anything that happens here, it's just simply crazy.
Though I must say, begginings were hard, this humor is not for everybody. It is basically a rather silly one, that is represented in a crazy unpredictable and incomprehensible way possible.
And even though while being funny in a weird way, the writers still manage to make epic, romantic or sad scenes, that will just hit your face from nowhere.
But basically you will laugh, laugh hard.
You find yourself in
...
japan, on earth, that was conquered by aliens, it was during Edo period (around 1700 year), aliens took over control and gave humans freedom, so they actually live as they were used to. Some of them still fight with aliens, and some them like Gintoki the main character is totally okay with it (well not in full respect).
Unfortunately the series didnt finish, they ran out of money while making it. BUT it is to come back in April, which is amazing, and I can't wait for that to happen.
It's just crazy, and I just love it. It's one of the best, of the best, of the best. It's almost a masterpiece.
VIBE:
Heheheheeh
It's different every time, every arc has a different story it, with different vibe involved. They tend to change the style quite often, the style of storytelling so to say.
It's also a ultimate parody, they tend to throw every genre of anime out there, and laugh about it. Those are perfect jokes.
It can be epic, it can be sad, it can be fucking funny, so funny that you will burst into laugh on an episode basis, and that is wonderful. I do think that writers are geniuses in what they are doing, they know exactly what a scene like that should consist of, while still remaining original.
ART STYLE:
For some it might look old, well the first season was made in 2006, and it had black borders on it, they remade it in the next season, giving it Full resolution HD quality.
But I do like it, especially the animation of fight, wait for them, most of them are just fantastic.
Overall the animation quality is good, I could get behind it having black borders, because it looked cool.
To be honest, Gintoki, the main character with silver hair, is quite similar to me :D
MUSIC/VOICEACTING:
I just love all the openings, there's like 8 of them, and I have them on my phone, listening to it on daily basis, especially Prague-Light Infection, try listening to that.
Soundtrack is good, it varies from sad to cheerful pieces, I always appreciate sad soundtrack in animes, I listened to this one a couple of good times, enjoyed them all.
Voiceacting is funny, as it should be. All the main characters have funny voices. Of course they can change it to be epic, and they do that. But even though when they talk, or get angry, it's just funny to listen to.
Often they would make short cuts to talk with you, like interact with you. Characters would show that they are aware of you, and aware of you watching them.
STORYLINE:
Actually there's not much of a storyline, I mean there's just a lot, they don't stick with one plot, they made arcs, during every arc they would guide you through a different story, and when I say different, it is different, in every and each aspect.
There was one thing that survived through all the arcs, but they will continue it in the next season, they ran out of time and money to make something with that.
Overall I like all the arcs, I even have my favorites, loved all the characters. It's super enjoyable to watch, the begginings are hard it difficult to understand what is going on, but when you get accustomed with the craziness, you will have so much fun.
CONCLUSION:
It's one of the best of the best, an ultimate parody of everything. An epic and sad experience, it's incredible.
Just try to understand the craziness, this is crucial. Enjoy the show!
