For someone who has lived in Japan most of my life, I adore the USSS band! I can tell this anime is not to be taken seriously, and it's just a small group having fun.
It feels like this anime will receive a bad reception due to people not understanding why there is no genuine plot/story. And I wish for more anime studios to have fun instead of having to be under constant surveillance of having to be serious with what they do, and I wish there to be audiences who can enjoy it without using a magnifying glass on every nook and cranny!
The art

of the anime is very simple, but has it's own charm that fits the atmosphere the band provides in real life! Nothing too tense or serious, but rather "soft" and "silly".
The story likes to poke fun at cliche high school anime by acting like one itself, while it's not very intriguing, it's a fun watch if you're bored or want time to kill.
The characters are much like their real counterparts. Shima-san keeps his charming act up, Ura-san has his cautious and cunning attitude, Sakata-san maintains his over the top reactions and loudness, and Senra-san will forever be... well, Senra.
While this is considered an anime, I would recommend that people don't treat it like an "AAA" title.
