Following My Deer Friend Nokotan's disastrous flopping I'm starting to think maybe "hype" is the death of shows. Personally I would like hype to mean something in the way of inciting discourse, excitement and anticipation towards upcoming animanga, and considering Uzumaki was in that privileged position however niche, the delivery is unacceptable. At one point during ep two I was convinced "cel animation" is making a comeback, in retrospect the thought might've been disrespect to the cult classics of a bygone era, in honesty ep 2 got so atrocious I could've produced it overnight in candlelight as the partially blind half of a bedridden conjoined
...
twin with only 2 opposed fingers and it would've still turned out as a sack of shit but still better that what I was subjected to by Production I.G.
From what I can deduce so far, Uzumaki comes across as more creepy than scary, creepy with a degree of disassociation from the word scary, which of course does nothing to ease my confliction with the disorganized adaptation, somebody mentioned that it has been in production for five years (insert a sarcastic no shit) honestly the jokes write themselves, but alas I would be doing myself a disservice if I don't point out some glaring issues here.
One of my biggest gripes is simply the varied mediocrity of the production quality on the eps, what's even more painful is the fact that its 4 eps total, yea it ain't even a 12 ep production run, its 4 ffs, it goes without saying for a cramped adaptation like that they were inevitably going to skip content, so we can't even get one or the other, its crap production values plus cut content by the boatload, marvellous. This whole situation is not helped by the fact that Itou's works are notoriously difficult to adapt so the production team has a fall back right! Well to hell with that, we all saw Wistoria, a crap run of the mill power fantasy story adopted to perfection, it just goes to show what can be done if the bare minimum production values are met.
But it's not all doom and gloom, for instance Shuichi's mom's freakouts are glorious to behold, just brandish a mosquito coil like item and instantly busk in her crescentic shrieks, lmao she's anti spiral to the core, its almost too funny.
However convoluted the adaptation has been its worth giving a short if only the reason is to see Shuuichi's mom for the last frames she'd be in. Thus the verdict here is, horror rarely translates well to anime, coupled with the fact that this is one of Junji Itou's works, the prospects are already looking pretty grim, but for what it does right it lands decently, its enjoyable in parts, so if you are deliberating on whether to binge the 4 eps just go for it, hell smoke a blunt beforehand or get a friend to administer a mild concussion for some zero iq brain dead fun.

Thighs! specifically in this case Hokkaidian thighs, yo what can I say that hasn't been said, let me just crack open the archives real quick: from the great Rias Gremory (royalty in the thigh world), the undefeated Queen of degeneracy Inukai san (we don't deserve dogs), Hakari Hanazono (rumor has it it took a modified tv to draw her wide ass thighs) and Mie from "Suki na Ko ga Megane wo Wasureta", I know watchu thinking and before you call the FBI her inclusion here is sorely for that camera work, you don't believe me, go do a double take, the camera angles in that
...
anime are something to behold.
"Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi" starts off with a phenomenal mood setting, the staging and overall vibe caught me off guard, the animatIon is pristine. In the first scene we meet one of our thighious "mcs" Fuyuki Minami rendered to tantalizing perfection behind a snowy Hokkaido back drop. The anime takes a moment to pan out to show the gorgeously animated scenery of the snow, further emphasising the frigid nature of the area. The first conversation between our mcs is more than anything natural, to a certain degree that is, no overly used tropes of "bumping into each other we fall in love" nonsense. You might've notice that I'm not giving as much love to our boy Shiki Tsubasa, well its simple, he don't deserve it. Ion know what I'm supposed to say about him, he's there I guess, honestly that's the best review I can give him, at its core this anime is driven by thighs (the gals in the show), blood is just there for the ride, hell he's lucky I didn't self insert and replace him with something else already bcoz he's just that forgettable. Ayt that is a bit too hash, Shiki does what any typical mc in his position does, he simps... blushes when he has too, apologises way too loudly, and produces enough boners to built a bridge.
On a more critical take, the romance is what you expect it to be, bubbly, wholesome with a tinge or more of degeneracy, the character dynamics needs to be studied, they got it right, there is an oddly satisfying fluidity to the characters, they feel like their own individual persons. We've already met our resident yandere gyaru Fuyuki, next we get introduced to our 'mild not committed to the tsundere act'
Akino Sayuri, with her tired overly used architype of I hate the happy out going girl in class but oh wait she helped me so I don't hate her lets be friends yey. She's got great chemistry with our boy Shiki, although she totally gave him the cold shoulder when they first met. It goes without saying Akino possesses lascivious thighs much like Fuyuki, but with her character I feel like its a skit I've seen before, maybe I'll get to like her as the series goes on but at the moment ummo stick with Fuyuki as my best gyaru. So its two gyals down and one to go, honestly I'm kinda interested in seeing what the third one be like. One more thing I don't know if I'm the only one that thought the booger scene in the first ep was disgusting, I mean who was that animated for? lets ignore our resident "simp-son" Shiki thinking that was kawaii for a second, I mean Jesus there is so many things they could've done with that character at that particular time that would've gotten me like "oh thats cute", but nah they just had to show Fuyuki with a fist full of boogers, ain't no way you convincing me thats kawaii, Japanese fetishes are getting out of hand.
The production team did a decent job bringing this anime to life, there's always going to be nitpicks but at the end of the day they are exactly that, nitpicks. I think the anime looks great, the voice acting is alright, the music and sound do a great job of capturing the scene and mood perfectly. I could give an in-depth review of the nuances of what makes this anime a great watch but ain't nobody will enjoy a corporate like breakdown of a fictional character's thighs, so ya'll gonna have to settle for this, I know this might end up being cryptic for some of ya'll coz I be trolling too much, but hear me out I'll summarize.
Should you watch this or not? to that I say if you ever paused an anime scene with thighs on the screen tf you waiting for join us, and if you here for a harem romcom then you won't go wrong with this one.
Confession: Ayt ummo let the cat out of the bag, I been lying to ya'll and ummo come clean...Hokaidian and thighious are not real words.

Ayt lets just set things straight here, to those who are saying they are here for the plot I honestly can't see you hair because you got a big ass cap on. Its incredibly criminal to try and rationalize blatant degeneracy especially on a public platform, out with the cope and excuses like you been known what this is from the first episode, now we are three deep lets just all embrace the ecchi and a touch of comedy that this anime is offering and stop with the plot talk, coz deadass the copium is not coping. FYI I sense some of ya'll gaggling acid
...
ready to shout my ears off, ion want no smoke, I'm not saying the plot is not there like completely none existent, its there, oh its there but its nonsense, I haven't read the manga but judging from the first three episodes the plot is basically the mc lewding the magical girls in perpetuity for the rest of the series.
I don't even watch magical girls but when I saw ecchi in the title I knew what it was, very few of em have meaningful plots or even at all, to me that title told me all I needed to know, it was basically a mating call, was like "oh shit here we go again" on my way to my local store to grab a fresh supply of lotion jars. The first episode introduces us to our mc Hiiragi Utena, whose got a "totally" innocent obsession on the magical girls (I mean it, like no scissoring fantasies there). A floating tanuki gives her evil powers and like any other innocent girl who doesn't have wild fantasies about magical girls she totally acts and manifests her degeneracy on them. For our first fight scene, we are treated to a generic ecchi fight scene with a full compliment of titty fondling flower tentacles and a touch of dominatrix ass whooping for our mc's first ground mission. What can I say but laud class, just pure cinema. The second fight scene commences shortly there after, copy paste the events of the first fight scene, and similarly the next two episodes pan out eerily more or less the same with a few new faces for ass shoot diversity, wow, yet they question the existence of a plot. And there it is, the entire first three episodes in a nutshell and I bet the entire series will unsurprisingly follow the same theme.
Not to bait switch here but I don't hate this series, found my stoic self cracking a smile from time to time, I only have an issue with individuals that finna change the narrative of what the series is, ecchi, unapologetically ecchi is what this anime is. The art style is on point, kawaii even, I like it. The op is ayt, induces "huwa huwa" feelings inside me, not really my thing but totally understand if that's someone else's shtick. The character design looks right, but of course you can never beat the loli allegations, it is what it is.
So what am I saying, should you watch this or not. You should, with a couple caveat though. The series is a decent watch, a few goofy instances make it kinda funny, not side splitting but well worth the 23 minute run time, ecchi galore, plus the voice acting and art style makes it worth your precious time. The mixed feelings tag is stemming from the view that if you are an ecchi connoisseur then this anime might not be worth your time, but if you are a casual or new to the genre then it could be a worthwhile watch.

Alright, let's dive into the absolute madness that is "Kimi no Koto ga Dai Dai Dai Dai Daisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo"! I mean, seriously, who needs a hundred girlfriends? That's just pure, unadulterated chaos. But, come on, this is the world of manga and anime – a place where societal norms go to die. Hell, we've had reincarnations into swords, vending machines, and even pigs. Jesus Christ I mean, pigs! And don't get me started on "My Life as Inukai-san's Dog." Wow, wtf was that all about, Itsutsuse you damn degenerate? And wth is Truck-kun playing at, out there wildin on incels, why can't
...
he be running over doctors and astronauts, for crying out loud!
Now, before you grab your pitchforks and tell me that "Inukai-san's Dog" isn't an isekai, and that's not what we're here to discuss today. What I'm getting at is that these stories share a common theme: they're all outrageously outlandish and unapologetically unapologetic. And, you know what? That's precisely why, despite knowing there are better shows out there, we can't resist hitting that "next episode" button. It's like a post-nut feeling – it terrifies me! It’s a terribly vicious cycle.
Honestly I kinda hate how they cracked my code man, I keep on getting finessed into watching these kinda shows, but you know what? Some of these shows are surprisingly decent, and "Kimi no Koto ga Dai Dai Dai Dai Daisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo" is one of them.
At first, I thought a story with a hundred girls was bound to be a train wreck. How could you possibly navigate relationships with that many people? It's unsustainable! And that temple ojisan warning that if he fails to connect with even one soulmate, they'll all croak or some ish like that? No way this could work! It's not even something a hikikomori's wildest wet dreams could top, and there's already talk of an adaptation. So, I had to dive in and see what this chaos was all about.
The first two episodes introduce Rentarou, a guy who's been rejected by a hundred girls, starting at the ripe old age of 8 months (Yeah! Me too its shocking). The temple ojisan shows up and reveals that he has 100 soulmates thanks to a little divine mistake. So far, we've met Hakari Hanazono, the cheerful yandere with a supposed monopoly on the world's thighs, and Karane Inda, the tsundere who's clearly simping for Rentarou but won't admit it. We watch as Rentarou tries to balance his relationships with these two, all while avoiding their jealous rivals and potential accidents. And guess what? Two episodes in, and it's already chaotic, with 98 more soulmates to go. Hold on tight! Oh and by the way before we butt heads about this, best girl goes to the vice principal, I will not hear it! no one is topping that tongue work it's not happening.
On the visual side of things, the animation is top-notch, vibrant, and colourful. Character designs are expressive, and the movements are fluid. The voice acting is fantastic, with each actor capturing their character's personality and emotions flawlessly. The music is catchy, with a bop of an opening song and an adorable ending tune. The comedy is fast-paced and side-splitting, poking fun at harem genre tropes left and right. And the romance is sweet and genuine, with each girl sharing a unique connection and chemistry with Rentarou.
There is nothing I would love more than to say it's done, now run along you little weebos, go dive head first into watching this anime, No! I know better, I still have scars from past experiences, rather what I will do is prescribe a healthy dose of caution. Yes the majority of the things mentioned in this review have been mostly positive, but it's only been two episodes, I have brothers, sisters and some closeted furry cousins who got baited by the notorious "false start", it’s a terrible thing, just ask "The Seven Deadly Sins" fandom, some of them even suffered the great injustice of finishing the dreaded season three, omg! I am tearing up, it’s a horrible fate.
But there is hope still, fear not, for from what I've seen so far, "Kimi no Koto ga Dai Dai Dai Dai Daisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo" seems like a wild, enjoyable ride for fans of harem romantic comedies. It's got a unique and creative premise, a diverse and likable cast of characters, a humorous plot, and top-notch production values. If you're into comedy, romance, or harems, give this one a try. It's 100 times the fun! Hehe🐖🔥.
