Personally in my mind i will always think the neon genesis evangelion franchise is a masterpiece.

The manga is a fantastic redemption from the original show and end of evangelion movie, despite how good those both were they were confusing there were so many things that needed more explaining and more character, more depth.

The manga is much more cleaned up, the characters are even better, they get more backstory and better endings.
The art, well its good art but its not the part that carry’s the manga, i liked the art but theres not many special things to it but it still is good.

The story is ... a bit of a mix of the original shows ending and the end of evangelion movie, but i think its beautiful, not only was the action from EoE there but the happy ending for shinji.

The psychological and philosophical themes are still there but they get more explanation and they’re not just a bunch of random things happening with the themes topics confusing everything.

The characters definitely were the best versions of themselves in the manga, we get a lot of information on kajis past, gendos past, yuis past, and almost every other character, even the seele members get a bit more story.

For my reviews i would normally rant but today i tried to organise it a bit even if this is my third ever review on MAL haha, if you like neon genesis evangelion, read this manga, it took me around 3 days to read all of it and its well worth it.

When I finished reading i cried.

Hiya! This is my second review ever so i do hope its not too bad lol, a quick introduction:
I was introduced by a close friend of mine who also is quite big on romance anime/manga and introduced me to the horimiya anime as it was quite new I hadn’t heard about it, that was about half a year ago and i right now i have just finished the manga, the anime is superb, I’m quite easy on ranking shows as im not very critical i give most things a 9 or 10 lmao, but i genuinely loved the show, and 2 weeks ago i had ... heard that the manga had much more content than the show so i started reading it, and oh my god do i love this manga.

Story:
Overall a 10, i really enjoyed the story, in some way it was very down to earth, and it hooked me i enjoyed it from start to finish and i absolutely loved it.

Art:
10, the art was also just amazing, even for a simple manga like horimiya the art had so much expression so much detail, the art would be amazing in serious panels and it would be goofy and really funny in light panels, it was very well drawn and i think the artist is incredibly talented, i don’t think i ever found one little mistake or anything in the art that put me off, there was so much attention to detail and i loved it, theres something about this art-style that i just love and I honestly wish i could draw this well and beautifully.

Characters:
9, every character was decently well developed even incredibly small characters like mizouchi, in the anime he appears once but in the manga he gets actual story and a lot of detail to his small role, i could genuinely understand what some of the characters were going through or feeling and i think HERO did a splendid job of fleshing them out. I think all the characters in their own way were very well written and now that I’m done the manga i will really miss them.


Overall i give the horimiya manga a 10, it took me about a week and a half to read all 125 chapters and I’m on the verge if tears now that I’ve finished it, it was beautiful, I’m a big hopeless romantic and mangas like horimiya are like a crutch to me so I’m sad I’ve finished it, but i enjoyed it so much, i laughed, i cried and i felt comfort from horimiya, i will recommend it to all my friends.

I have just finished reading the demon slayer manga, first of all, i truly thought this manga was a masterpiece, it was very enjoyable and the art was truly beautiful, people will say that the manga had imperfections and that it was fast paced, and yes it was a bit fast but thats what made it exciting, i started reading the manga because i can not wait a week for an episode lmao, the anime is even more beautiful, i just want to thank Gotouge for working so hard on the manga and i truly love it, demon slayer has become one of my favourite ... animes and mangas ever, i cried reading the finale chapters, i laughed at the jokes and i was hyped reading the fights, that shows me that this is a perfect manga (to my standards) i will bring things into my life that tanjiro learned himself, i will try to be more positive like rengoku, i will love my siblings like tanjiro and nezuko did, and i will be more grateful to my friends, i will stop feeling so negative and i will live with my head up high and i will set my heart ablaze! Thank you all for creating such a beautiful story I truly appreciate it, thank you! From the bottom of my heart :)
