I have watched 100s of anime, In fact it's probably quicker to count which ones I haven't watched than which ones I have. I usually don't write many reviews, I watch and don't write. But with this show, I had to come and write. My first rule of Rom-coms is you always watch till the end before making a decision. The reason that rule exists is because unlike other shows where the 3/4 episode rule usually works, they usually are slow start shows that build the world and relationships first before actually starting the interesting part. This show is exactly that, yes it is goofy ... and seems over the top and cliche but it's absolutely key that you PAY ATTENTION AND DON'T GET DISTRACTED BY ALL THAT!

The show was already a solid 7 for me from the start and with the current latest episode after steadily rising with each episode it's now at an 8. Avoid any spoilers, avoid reading up on the plot, just go in with the mentality of no matter what I will power through the episodes and you will be more than pleasantly surprised. What makes it unique is that it covers multiple genres and each episode you learn more about the world and the characters in very unique ways and if you are paying attention it definitely catches your interest as to how it will all turn out.

It's hard to speak on it properly as the final episodes aren't yet out at the time of this review, but I assure you don't fast forward the episodes, don't get deterred by the first few either and you will thank me for it. I definitely recommend it for anybody who already loves the genre but also anybody looking for something different.

The best way to start a review of this show is to simply say it doesn't matter whether you watch the sport or know anything about it, you will love it. This show and even the manga are in the same tier as all the great sports titles and has the effortless appeal of serving enough of a mix of realism (needing to work extremely hard to achieve a goal) and manga troupes in order to provide an excellent story and group of characters. If you are a fan of the sport it obviously will resonate with you a lot more but believe me when ... I say this, GIVE THIS SHOW A TRY AND YOU'LL BE SHOCKED HOW GOOD IT IS.

I quite literally have watched every single sports title there is, from Ashito no Joe all the way to all iterations of captain tsubasa to Sangatsu no lion etc and I can boldly declare this show as good as any of the top shows you can name.

Gintama was my first proper dive into proper Japanese comedy in Anime. I had discovered Gaki no Tsukai and other Variety shows, watched a bunch of J-Drama's and a bunch of anime by the time I started watching Ginatama when it first aired. Honestly speaking, I stumbled on it when I was bored and had watched all the anime there was to watch at the time. Greatest mistake I ever made since discovering DBZ by accident as a kid.

Whilst there are a load of jokes based on you having to know about japanese culture, famous people, shows etc even without knowing that stuff you will ... laugh a lot watching this show. But the true strength of this show is that it's characters are it's greatest strength, it's action sequences are merely a bonus. It is a show completely unlike all the Big 4 and mainstream shonen, but it actually is the Godfather to all these shows shonen shows that use a lot of grown up comedy.

If you literally enjoy grown up jokes instead of the mostly childish gags we get in most shows, this is what you have been looking for. 15 years later and to me it's still the greatest comedy shonen ever.

Here is a little story for you. I remember when this show came out. Me and my Japanese friends were all excited and loved it and Asta's depiction very much. We enjoyed it to the point of literally having calls so that I could watch it live with them on a video call. Meanwhile out west, everyone was complaining about Asta being loud and a lot of other things that honestly didn't matter.

I remember writing what I am about to write here in forums where people were hating on this show. Naruto was loud as heck from the jump, Luffy was loud as heck ... too. Both are now 2 of the most beloved characters in Anime and Manga history. Black Clover is a show where if you give it a chance and watch it all the way through forgetting all that hate people have, you will realise just how amazingly well thought out and written it is. The characters are awesome, the world building is A1 and you actually see the progression of characters. Every single person I recommended it to has ended up binging it to catch up whilst it was still running or are now binging it through trying to finish it.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE HATE, WATCH IT ALL THE WAY THROUGH AND JUDGE IT FOR YOURSELF.

When I started this show i was quite literally because I had been procrastinating on reading the manga for years, so I decided to watch the series to make up for this. I honestly will say it is the most pleasant surprise I have had in a while since Ballroom e Youkoso (Welcome to the ballroom).

I cannot describe how amazing this show is. It draws you in from the first episode with an MC who really perfectly suits the story being told. You literally will grow a little more interest in art and learn a little bit more about the struggles some people go through ... in trying to get into the world of Art. I honestly will say this definitely gets a vote of approval from me and I will be reading the Manga because the anime 100% has won me over.

I recently set up an account so I could actually leave behind reviews on some of the shows I have watched in my 20 something years on this planet that I absolutely rate as 9 or 10/10 (If I tried to do every single show I watched I would be here all year and all of next year too). The very first show that came to mind was this show. To try and put it into words, I had watched the original show when it first came out and liked it when I was a kid. I have gone through a whole load of manga ... and anime since I was a kid from old black and white shows which literally weren't translated to all the shows in this season. This show is the best to date of all the big 4 in terms of not only capturing the characters perfectly, but in terms of action sequences.

You will love the characters, you will love the villains, you will absolutely love everything about this show and I can gurantee that. I kid you not, out of the Major shows it is the only one I have seen where even people who don't like Shonen rate it highly. That alone is a major accomplishment. I will go as far as saying, if you watch this show all the way through and don't rate it at least an 7.5 you are literally in the minority.

Your only regret will literally be that there isn't more episodes!

This to me is the best season of the 3. It literally has one of the greatest scenes I have ever seen in an anime with the last episode's ending, and is just a fantastic story all the way through. If you are looking for a heartfelt slice of life that has a fantastic array of characters, interesting story and helps you learn more about Manga and how it is constructed, this show is the perfect one for you (all 3 seasons).

It literally has set the mark in what slice of life Manga about being a Mangaka have to top. Nothing since has come close ... to the all round completeness the show has in capturing your attention but also delivering an amazing story which educates the reader at the same time. The mix of emotions and the fantastic way it still feels real is just wonderful.

Quite honestly my favourite anime of all time. When I say I have watched them all, I mean you name an Anime and I have watched it. I'm that person who has been watching One Piece and Detective conan since they started and pretty much watches all the anime in every season no matter how bad they are. In my 20 something years on this planet, I have never seen a managa about writing manga which contains stories you actually wish were real so you could read them.

This show is a masterpiece not just because of the story and characters, but because it shows ... a somewhat dramatised look at what life as a mangaka is like. Honestly, if you watch this give it a try the whole way through for all 3 seasons and I promise you it will be at the very least one of the best slice of life anime's you have ever seen.

I have read the web manga since it came out and honestly, I was looking forward to this show but skeptical if they would do the series justice...they easily have delivered and gone beyond expectations. I know to a lot of people who didn't know about it, this show is a surprise and as a fan it's been wonderful to see it gain the recognition.

If you are a fan of stories that are straightforward but deep, this is the show for you. This has a well built out world, greatly fleshed out characters and best of all it has a main character you can't help ... but cheer on from the very first episode.

I'll keep this short and sweet, this anime is one every fan no matter what your favourite genre is needs to watch. This easily is one of the best stories ever and the production is fantastic. This, Ousama Ranking and To Your eternity are easily 3 of the best shows to come out in the last 3 years.

The pacing is perfect and very few shows have ever made the intro of every episode an important part of the episode, but this show is one of them. The characters, the world building, the jokes heck everything about this show and it's 1st season is just perfect. ... I have read the series and the way they have adapted it is just fantastic.
