Both start out slow but have amazing (and similar) later episodes that makes the arguably slow buildup worth it.

If you liked Steins;Gate add

...then you might like Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu add

Similar time travel concept with the main character suffering through the same event over and over again for the people he cares about.

If you liked Bakemonogatari add

...then you might like Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai add

Bunny Girl Senpai ripped off Bakemonogatari so hard. Many of the characters have a equivalent in Bakemonogatari and a large portion of the plot elements feel identical with the biggest difference being that Bunny Girl Senpai is less "out there" with some of the camera angles and character interactions. If you like one of them I can almost guarantee that you'll like the other.

...then you might like Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song add

Violet and Vivy are very similar characters and they have the same obstacle of understanding certain emotions. Although Violet Evergarden is more sad and the setting is different the shows feel very similar
