So, what's so similar about these manga except the big noses? The plot of either manga is all about survival on an island. Life can only be guaranteed if one gathers enough food and finds shelter. Add in a little romance, and there you have the major mutual aspects. ...however, Jisatsutou is way closer to reality than Let's Lagoon.

Two inseparable friends. One school. No escape, except you beat the game. Two fates are sealed. This is a short description of the beginning of Kami-sama no Iutoori Ni and di[e]ce. Even I wouldn't be able to tell which one was meant exactly if I wasn't the author of this. I couldn't help but notice that the protagonists of these manga are good-looking and have some similarities in behaviour. Kami-sama no Iutoori Ni is something for hardcore survival fans. If you liked di[e]ce, you won't regret reading Kami-sama.

Isn't this just another school manga? Aphorism is a school manga, yes. However, the students of Aphorism are just as scared as Kamisama no Iutoori Ni's participants - both stories deal with strange death games. Despite their relatively heavy premises, these stories contain a few funny moments which, in the case of Aphorism, are found more frequently. That said, Kamisama no Iutoori Ni is much more straightforward when it comes to violence. Aphorism bears more light-heartedness in between action scenes, so its actually shocking moments are truly shocking. In conclusion, Aphorism should be a good read if one enjoys the school setting and students fighting for their very lives.

"Life is Money" is a manga about psychological warfare, where people are brought together through normally illegal means in order to fight each other. Both manga include deception and the possibility of escape. Also, in either case the participants are caught in a certain zone which can only be left by winning the game.
