I enjoyed this anime a lot. It slowed down a bit in the last few episodes but then picked up the pace with the last two to really end on a banger. THe last episode was perfect and an easy 10. They cuteness and humoristic moments in this anime is really the stars and not shogi itself.
Can recommend this anime to everyone who wants an anime which portrays real life stuggles and happy moments in a really beautiful way.
The artwork is different from anything I have seen before so it took a while for me to really start to appreciate how fitting it was

I don't know what to say really.
This anime is a good benchmark for garbage. The CGI is something else. I'm actually impressed that I managed to watch through the whole thing. The reason for me not giving this show a 1 is based on two factors. The first is that they actually managed to create a cute character in the form of Yue. The other thing was the fact that the terrible animations actually managed to make me laugh and the whole thing turned in to some sort of comedy for me. I enjoyed this anime a lot. The things I liked about the show was mainly the characters which I felt all had their own special purpose. I especially liked the characters of Zero two and Hiro because of the fact that both had some really good backgroundstories which made them so much more alive and gave their actions a lot more weight and meaning.
The other thing I want to highlight about this anime is the intro music which I enjoyed a lot. The fact that the show had an good intro brang so much more hype into every episode and that definetly made a difference ... |
