Ok, so if you don't know the story, I'll tell you:
The artist Huke drew a picture simply titled "Black Rock Shooter", and a Vocaloid song producer named Ryo though she looked like a black-haired Hatsune Miku, so he made a song and video, which were quite good, and after this entered the internet, it became a hit, so big, that they decided to make an anime.
I can only guess that at first they planned to have fights and a storyline, with BRS's post-apocalyptic world as a setting, but then some numbnuts decided that instead they should take advantage of the hype and make a
...
slice-of-life anime about 2 girls...without BRS,of course.
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!! BEWARE....or not, this thing sucks anyway
Story:2
If you saw the OVA already, you shouldn't be surprised, two girls, Yomi and Mato, suddenly become best friends but then get separated, and Mato befriends this girl named Yuu, and Yomi becomes jealous, disappears, Mato gets sad and decides to go look for her, that's pretty much it. There are clips with Black Rock Shooter fighting (sometimes just walking, or standing...weeeee)with Dead Master, and a red girl with no name at the beginning of the OVA, who apparently kills BRS and is never seen again(BRS survived...wtf? -.-), there was also a white haired girl with HUGE umm, fist-glove-thingies, who appears for 30 seconds, jumps off a cliff and is never seen again...at this point I wasn't surprised.
Art:6
What can I say, it's K-ON with guns (well, 1 gun), it's not bad, but it certainly isn't good(if that makes any sense), there were low framerate fights btw, not much else to say, except BRS's world looked great.
Sound:4
Fist of all, the BRS song's not in there...ever, there are some parts that sound kinda like it, like the piano at the end, but, the music was decent, but not too good.
Character:3
Well, the "real world" characters were boring, except for yoi and Mato (Well, there's only 9 characters), the BRS world characters, well, I don't know what to say, they don't talk, but the red girl and the white haired one were boring, the white haired one was just standing there, and red girl killed BRS(I guess I can give her some credit for that), but BRS and Dead Master didn't do much either, they just fought and then sort of...stopped, anyway, the characters weren't very good.
Enjoyment:2
Yeah, what did you expect? Well, I sure expected a lot more from this OVA, but it just didn't live up to a hype, nothing lives up to hype actually( well, maybe Gurren Lagann), but this was WAY,WAAAY, below not living up to it, it was terrible, to people who either never heard of the song or just found it by surprise it might be alright, but to other people, it was just a huge disappointment.

The easiest way to describe this anime is:
Lesbians playing mahjong using supernatural powers. It may sound stupid, but that's because it is.
Well, I can't really blame this anime for the fanservice and all that, because it's supposed to be moe, and it kinda is, while I thought the story was stupid, the only good thing about it was the ending which was ok, but still watching this anime was just dreadful and I dropped it after the 2nd ep., but I have heard from a friend some stuff about it, it seems there's a girl who plays better in mahjong when there's a full moon,
...
I laughed at the absurdity of that, anime isn't all about realism, but that's just stupid. There's also the taco girl, who can't play mahjong unless she eats tacos, now, I'm okay with that, because it's not something like "playing in a full moon", instead it's like a running gag so that's okay, also, I like the character design and the art, but everything else is just flat out stupid, if you wanna watch some moe, I recommend you go watch K-ON and skip this piece of ****
Then again, this is my opinion, if you want to watch this abomination, be my guest, you might even like it, but not me.

Well, Eyeshield 21, I have to say, I held off on reading/watching the manga/anime, specially because it's a manga/anime about sports, and that doesn'g sound very exciting. But I decided to give it a try anyway, and find out wha the anime really was, and what it was, is awesome.
Plot: Well, the story follows student Kobayakawa Sena, who just got accepted to Deimon High School, Sena is pretty much a whimpy kid who gets bullied around by others, while running away from some bullies, a Senior Student, Hiruma Youichi, the captain of the Football club notices that Sena is really fast, and wants him to
...
join, and after a rather strange series of events, he ends up joining the Football Team( or Amefuto, as they call it, yeah, idk).
So basically, there's a team, team has a dream, going to the Christmal Bowl (Highschool Football Tournament in Japan), but they have to do it that year, since Hiruma and his fellow student Kurita Ryoukan are graduating that year, they must train, and beat the other rival teams, from which the most recurring ones are the Oujou White Knights and the Shinryuuji Naga.
It's 145 episodes for the anime (and 333 for the manga) and even though it sounds long, it's very entertaining and worth the time, the matches between teams are great and really entertaining. Besides the football matches, there's also a lot of comedy in this series, most which is absurd, which makes it even better, although most of the time, it is delivered by Hiruma, which makes it even better!
Characters: To put it simply, there is no boring character in Eyeshield 21, not even Yukimitsu is boring. The authors of Eyeshield 21 did an outstanding job in making all of the characters, they are all equally entertaining and amazing, Sena's rivalry with Shin isn't anything cliche or whatever, instead it's done really well and you wanna see Sena beat Shin in a match. All the other characters also get their own stories, from Jumonji and Taki to Agon and Panther, they are all done so well, that it feels like there are no supporting characters, they all feel like main characters, and that also makes it very exciting, not even the matches focus on the main characters, all the supporting characters have their own rivals they have to beat, and it makes it even more exciting than it already is, sure, some characters are flawed in a way, they can't all be perfect, can they?
Sound/Animation: Well, the music was great, all 5 OPs are great, and it's Eyeshield 21 that has the BEST ending theme ever (Blaze Away). Some of the BGM was great too, like Be Survivor, and the animation, well, it's really good, the OPs are done great, and the scenes with special moves like Sena's Devil Bat Ghost or Shin's Trident Tackle, they are all done very well, and all I have to say, is that it looks great.
Teams: Well, obviously there's the Deimon Devil Bats, but there's also the rival teams like the Oujou White Knights, the Kyoshin Poseidon, the Bando Spiders and the Hakushu Dinosaurs, each one of these teams have their own characters and special plays, and I liked all of them, all of the teams are equally amazing, and of course the matches are really entertaining, but I did feel kinda let down that the Teikoku Alexanders aren't in the anime, specially since the match between them and Deimon is definetly the best in the series.
Replay Value: This anime is really worth watching again, I wouldn't mind it, really, it's a shame that most people pass on it because it's a Sports Anime, like I did, but I'm sure people would like it if they watch it, now, I've really come to love this series, but I have to say that it's better to read the manga because the anime just stops after the final rematch with Oujou, and it didn't show the matches agains Hakushu, Teikoku and the World Cup, which I would've loved to see, but anyway, it's a great anime and it's really underrated, so go watch it, or Hiruma will take you to hell, YA-HA!
