It's watchable, but not very good. Characters are too unsophisticated and feel kind of flat, too many things are conveniently misunderstood, the MC is frustratingly dense and stupid. Other than that - this is your typical power fantasy, with decent animation and decent fight scenes, it doesn't bring much new to the table. There's a lot better stuff to watch out there, for example if you haven't watched Solo Leveling it kinda fits in the same bracket but does things alot better. I picked this up because this season is a bit of a drought to my tastes, but uhh... its aight to pass the ... time I guess. To sum it up... it's just very mid.

It's good, but it's also innocent to a flaw. The main character has some very thick plot armor, she makes some decisions I wouldn't agree with on several occasions only to end up being saved by someone/something. I understand this show is probably made for a younger audience and is made to be wholesome... but it still takes away from it for me. Other than that - it's a nice story, and the animation is beautiful. This is not usually my kind of show... but honestly I just felt like watching something light and positive without overthinking it this time, and for that this was ... a good watch.

This one definitely fits into the mixed feelings category for me. This anime is about a gamer that plays buggy, unpopular games and exploits bugs and mechanics to the max, becoming a sort of a pro gamer in those categories, sorta inspired by "let me solo her". This takes place in an age where VR games are the norm and provide an experience similar to real life. One day he decides to pick up a triple-A MMO game and he applies his 'pro gamer' skills to that game. The fights, animation, the story - are not bad at all. But I am also not a ... fan of this basic premise at all, it ends up feeling like just another Shounen-Isekai in a costume with zero stakes on the line, I mean... okay, MC dies to a boss - boo hoo, it's just a video game. The fact that there's also a real life behind the game is not leveraged much, not much of interest happens outside the game. In the game, the plot is not bad, if it were a game I would find it interesting, the hidden quests and evolutions the MC goes through do have some appeal to them. But since we are focused on our 'God Gamer' MC play perspective... it ends up being a bit linear, he gets stronger. Don't get me wrong though it isn't a total blunder- Overall this is solid in doing what it does... but I don't feel like it makes enough use of the things that are unique about it or brings enough new things to the table to keep me interested. I might just be over Isekai'ed.

So soo good. I picked this up at first as a relaxing appetizer, expecting it to be sort of a wholesome mid, very quickly it exceeded my expectations. To be honest this anime didn't end up working as an 'appetizer' for me, the monster dishes ain't doing it to me anime like "Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi" did that better as the parallels to real dishes are easier to see there. But... I feel like this anime is much more interesting. I love the way it really feels fresh every-time.. yes every episode the group runs into a bunch of monsters and eats a ... bunch of dishes ~ but this anime is very good at bringing new things in at a good pace whether it be learning something new about the world or new characters being introduced. Most of the time it's on a 'slow cook' but when there's some action it's always well done. The character interactions are just right - wholesome, funny. Animation is cool ~ it really has it's own style and I really like it. VA is good as well. Overall a feel-good fantasy anime that doesn't disappoint, thus far it just keeps getting better.

*Some caveat though - while this anime has mostly positive/wholesome vibes it can get a little dark at times so if gore/blood puts you off this might not be for you.

Animation, style, colors are all very beautiful and a little unique.. I like the way this show portrays feelings and the way the story is presented, but... as for the story - it's a bit flat, its a girl's fantasy about crushing on a guy and ending up with him, slowly getting closer etc it feels a bit too simple and predictable, a little naive.
The special part about this one is that the girl happens to be deaf and that presents challenges- but it's just not enough to keep me interested. I was so fond of the art style I even read ahead some ... of the manga to see if it gets more interesting. As far as I'm concerned, not really.
Overall it's a decent show, but it's not for me.
