I honestly never thought I'd make an account to write a review for a manga, yet here we are. Let me start out by saying that I'm am kind of new to reading manga's and manhwa's but I will say that I am enjoying it to read them more and more. Anyways, lets get to the review.
--Story--
Story wise, this was a well made plot. It was very rewarding to be hanging on to the edge of my seat every week waiting for the next chapter to pop up. When I 1st started, I originally thought that, even though Mr. Ego wanted to focus on a ... player's selfishness to score, it would end up becoming a "friendship is the key" type of story. After more reading, however, I realized that I was wrong. Very wrong.
And I loved it.
The story then makes a BIG shift when they [[SPOILER]] decide to play Japan's U-20 (U-19?) team, which I thought was kinda weird, and was a bit unreasonable imo, but it is very enjoyable (as of right now).
--Art--
With the announcement/rumor of an Anime coming out, I REALLY hope that whoever makes it does the art of this manga justice. Being a sports anime, the art is immaculate. Its very detailed and I LOVE when a character gets those dark auras around them or when Isagi's puzzle pieces start coming together.

I originally wanted to but an 8 but I decided to be generous and put a 9. Let me explain
I just want to point out that there are a LOT of characters. There are so much that that have to have a little introduction box under a character every nice in a while. In addition, other than the player's families(Hehe. Toretto) there's only one female in the whole story. While I don't exactly have a problem with that, I have a problem with the unnecessary BL and ship comments that overtake TON of comment sections. I guess I'm more mad at the fans who ended up only watching this for the BL aspect of the show and the the sports and action (which is pretty selfish on my part but eh). But the characters in the show are very well made. The growth that you see in the mentalities of the characters that we have seen from the beginning is amazing and you love to see it.
--Enjoyment/Overall--
As you can kind of see, I LOVE this Manga. I can't wait to see this in color as an Anime. I want to support this manga to the very end and it has the potential that can top other sports Anime like Kuroko's Basketball and Haikyuu. Even a Movie would work for me, as long as the animation is great. Currently waiting for the next chapter impatiently :))
