This anime is the literally the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life?
The way they parody the horror genre to such a hilarious level amuses me everytime.
Is Gintama or Carnival Phantasm your favorite anime because they make fun of a serious franchise/genre? Well, then forget those two and watch this!
Just like in everything horror, teenagers die left and right because either logic happens or they're stupid. I think the only time they sort of had some sort of sense was when this one guy had a heart condition and eventually had a sudden heart attack and died but was just "Get-the-bitch-out-of-the-show-syndrome" which
...
is a very common symptom in anime.
Besides, it's not like we could take one of the only deaths that could make sense seriously because they portray that scene perfectly too.
This show is a comedy that relies on incredibly dark humour so you do need to have a strong stomach to be able to take all the suicide jokes and stupid logic.
My favorite scene is when a girl slips on the stairs, falls backwards dropping her umbrella and somehow ends up falling forwards and her neck gets impaled with the umbrella because, hey, maybe it's a special umbrella.
There is one character who is an obvious parody of Sadako Yamamura and is supposed to be the scary female character with dark hair trope.
Except this time, Sadako is a teenage girl with a fetish for dolls and is portrayed as the creepiest version of Rei from Evangelion whenever she is on screen. Despite how creepy this girl is being portrayed, she is actually the person who saves our male damsel in distress who is clearly supposed to be a gender-bent Bella Swan with a different name.
So in conclusion, watch this anime if you're into dark and gory humour. Every character is an amazing parody of the teenage archetypes that appear in anything horror and then they also parody the horror genre by making it as anime as possible such as it taking place in a school and contains sociopath females and a Morishige parody.
Overall - 10/10
But seriously, how could anyone take this terrible attempt at horror seriously?
