This anime series is bad. I won't beat around the bush it's down right terrible. As a whole. It has some good points. Mainly the visuals and sound but that doesn't make a series complete. Vincent van Gogh could paint an actual turd and it's still just a turd and Mozart could have written the music to Friday and it would still be a crappy song. Anyway, after witnessing 6 episodes so far here's my views... (spoilers of course)

Story: 1
It's a bland story that has been done better. Guy dies and is reborn in a magical ... world. But even how he died is boring. God accidentally killed him cause he was tossing lightning in a field he thought was empty... Yup, that's the origin of the story. Impressed yet? Neither was I.

So he dies and is able to take anything he wants. So he take his smartphone... and somehow it works in this mysterious world with no issues... no power, no cell network, etc... maps work, he's able to view peoples locations on it despite them not having a gps tracking device at all... it just works however he wants. "how does he keep it powered?" you might be asking... he learns magic that can charge it... and speaking of magic.

So in this world people can learn magic. There are elemental magic like fire and lightning but also something called null magic. Which is magic developed by single people pretty much over a lifetime which only the people you created it are able to use. Well guess what? MC can use ALL the magic. ALL OF IT. Making him basically a god in this world which leads him to have no real obstacles in this new world as of yet. Guy even took down a dragon and was able to summon a god level animal companion on his first attempt...

Art: 8
The art is well done. It's bright and colourful and the character designs, though lazy, are well done. No real complaints here.

Sound: 8
Like the art it's well done. Voice actors are on par, music and sounds effects work. These two fields are where the show shines.

Character: 2
They may be drawn well but good god are they bland and one dimensional. MC is OP and clueless to the people around him. The female characters have all fallen in love with the MC and pine over him. It's just bleh all over.

Enjoyment: 10
This is the twist to my review. I am honestly enjoying it. Not because it's good but because of how bad it is. It's so bad I can't look away. I want to see how they can top how OP the MC is in the next episode. Like I mentioned earlier one episode has him summoning an animal companion with yet another magic he learned and he summons a god level creature on his first time. "Oh my god this is ridiculous there is no way this can get any worse." Cut to the next episode where the MC takes down a black dragon. "well, I thought it couldn't get more ridiculous but here we are again."

This show is a train wreck. But it's a train wreck that was full of fireworks so you definitely don't want to look away despite the carnage surrounding it.

Overall: 5
Just the average score of the different categories. Like I said, this anime is bad. It's terrible but it's so terrible it's enjoyable to watch for that fact alone.

I can't even... this is so bat shit insane it's amazing... Girls who transform into machines... Jets, cars, robots.... no explanation, it just happens. I watched it and my first reaction was "what the hell did I just watch?" Then I watched it again and I still had no idea... but I enjoyed it for it's absurdity.

Story - Short 1 min stories get the "plot" across. Girl is chasing a hat and becomes a jet. Girl is running and starts drinking gasoline then becomes a car. Girl is taking an erotic video then becomes ... a battle mech... It's only 3 episodes in so I'm sure there will be a boat, a train, and most likely a tank at some point...

Art - It's honestly some very well done animation. Especially with the transformation sequence.

Sound - Very well done, again, especially with the transformation sequence.

Character - I mean, the episodes are a min... so maybe when the series is done we'll get an OVA with all of them?

Enjoyment - It's enjoyable simply for the WTF moment. It's especially enjoyable sharing it with friends and seeing their reactions... then watching as they leave you and never speak to you again...

Overall - Watch it. Each episode is a min so just watch it. It's utter insanity but it's fun. And can't we all use a little more fun?

I'll be honest. I never planned to watch this... when I first heard of the follow up to Naruto I was intrigued. Then I heard the title "Boruto" and thought 'this is the dumbest title ever. Then when I heard it was the name of Naruto's oldest child I made up my mind to never watch it.... then I did.

I only planned to watch the first episode to laugh at how bad it would be. I thought, all my friends and I who grew up watching Naruto and then Shippuden can mock it after and have a good ... laugh. But then I found myself not hating it. Actually enjoying it. Maybe it was because my expectations were basically non existent. Maybe because I secretly hate myself. Or maybe it's just not terrible. Either way I have returned each week and have yet to regret watching an episode yet.

Story:
I tend to explain it as "what if Naruto had been popular in school from the very beginning?" That's just how I see it. The plot is coming along and it's got me hooked so far.

Art:
Pretty much the same style as the originals. I am honestly surprised since it doesn't look like they tried to cut corners animation wise. At least not yet.

Sound:
Voice acting is good and the opening and closing themes are catchy.

Character
Boruto is kind of annoying but when you step back and look at the character you can see why. His father is the Hokage. He feels unnoticed by his father and desperately wants that attention he has lost. He's trying to get out of the shadow of being the song of the Hokage and he'll do whatever he feels is needed to do that.

The rest of the class is a fun "who's kid is who's" game if you were a fan of the originals. I still can't believe Ino and Sai got together... I figured she'd be with Choji... Also SURPRISE, Shikimaru and Temari got together. Who didn't see that one coming?

Enjoyment:
Like I said, I am enjoying it so far. I mean it's a Naruto anime and it's only like 12 episodes in as I'm watching this sooooo... plenty of room for everyone's favorite filler eps... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Overall:
Can't say I would recommend it... I say just give it a shot and keep expectations low like I did. Maybe you can enjoy it for what it is as well. (I just see it as a way to find out what happened to some of my favorite characters for the most part)

I will make this simple. If you enjoy emotional anime then watch this. If you've already watched it, watch it again. This anime is amazing in every way.

Story:
It's a simple premise. Middle school students go about their normal everyday life. Two relatively shy students start dating and we follow their story. The simplicity is what makes it amazing. I honestly still don't know why I love this .anime so much but I do and I want to share it with as many people as I can.

Art:
Smooth water colour palate draws more attention to the story and ... characters which are the true star of this. The ONLY thing that bugged me was the sort of janky 3D models of background characters. Sadly I am a bit hypervigilant and stuff like this doesn't get passed me. But I can get passed it.

Sound:
Voice acting and music is key to any good anime and this one hits every note perfectly. From the awkward mumbles to the shy "sure" responses everything is done amazingly well. Also, one of the best opening themes in awhile. I have it on loop constantly.

Characters:
From the main roles to the side characters, each is memorable for their role. Though I personally came to dislike a couple of them but they play key roles to the story. No character seems out of place.

Enjoyment:
Again, I still don't know why I love this as much as I do. I just fell in love with the story and I guess I love going through the wide range of emotions watching it.

Overall:
I was hooked on the first episode and loved every step (except maybe the re-cap special). Plus it has possibly the best ending for this genre of anime. Without giving anything too much away just watch to the very end of episode 12... I'm seriously fighting off tears writing this and remembering everything.

Will definitely be binging this completely in the near future.

I love the story. I've been watching since episode 1. Love the characters, love the art, love everything. This episode however was not needed in my eyes though. If anything, if there is a season 2, do a recap episode of the entire first season. How short are peoples memories that they would need a recap episode 6 episodes in?

On the other hand, if for some reason you have only just heard of this anime and don't want to watch the first 6 episodes I guess this would be good for those of you who don't want to spend 3 ... hours watching a very well done anime.
