TL;DR: this show is a delicate poem about youthness and friendship.

I'm stunned by how this show is so simple and delicate and yet so fun and enjoyable to watch. Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku is for people who can catch feelings shown by simple actions and moments of life, like make your mom cut your bangs or going for the first time to the mall with your new friends.
It shows the delicacy of youthness and puberty in a very poetic way. Everything is simple in this show, from the characters to the story, but it made me remember how thoughtful slice of lifes can be. It ... make you inevitably project yourself into people and situation and ponder about your own life and that's what I'm looking for in a good SoL anime. Art is good, animation are often likeable, don't let the peculiar chara design stop you from watching it, you will get used to it.
It left my heart warm in every single episode, it moved me so much I cried very often, even if I know that's an exaggerated reaction.
