Uhm.. I don't understand the low score. it's true that this anime is not fantastic or anything of the sort, but it's very enjoyable nonetheless. I don't even play the game (yet) nor watch the previous animation, but I feel nostalgic and drawn to the character and the world setting. These are the good things I can say about this anime:
-music
the opening and ending are fantastic and strangely give nostalgic feeling I could listening to them all day, another soundtrack or song also good. without these, the anime itself maybe only score 7 at most for me.
-character
it's not liking the characters because of the great
...
ability/superb analytical mind/wicked personality, I'm not talking about isekai heroes or hikigaya hachiman here, on the contrary what appeal me is the silliness of the characters, they're simple and pretty generic almost no development whatsoever, but their interactions are quite amusing to watch. for example: it's funny that some character in obvious disguise, people can't figure it, lol (clark kent syndrome?). character design also quite pleasing to the eyes, can't tell the same about the mecha though.
the conclusion is, this anime is fun to watch if you can ignore the not so great CG, and some annoying characters, or expect too much (maybe from the game player perspective?). so I would recommend this.

I rarely rate this low on romance anime (well, not that I write many reviews anyway) but I really want to vent my anger, and horrible feeling after watching this anime. Usually, even if the couple that I shipped didn't win in the end in other romance anime, it will only left a little bit disappointment as long as the show itself is enjoyable, but not with this one. Heck, the couple that I ship actually win this time in Yesterday wo Utatte (I won't say who, because it will spoil the ending), but I just feel tortured watching those dreadful episodes before finally reaching
...
the desirable ending, especially starting the middle episode onward.
The female villain is so horrible and cruel I can't barely watch, she would always thinking, worrying, and talking about another man while torturing the MC pretending dating him. Also the MC is too stupid and indecisive letting the sly woman do as she please. Hence, most of the later episodes are consist of the pitiful heroine getting trashed every time while the villain gloomily playing with her masochist MC. I'm glad I didn't see this while airing, so I can skip most of the villain scene with her bratty crush.
So in summary, the story is not that bad, the occasional humor is pretty spot on, and the ending is pretty good, I just hope the happy couple (MC and heroine) got more footage in the end. other than that, the characters are mostly bad and unlikable, except the main heroine, almost no character development, bad execution will make you feel wasting your time especially the last half of the episodes.
I won't recommend watching this pathetic anime, except you're ready for the torture or prepare to skip a lot of scenes. Watch "Just Because" instead, far better than this.

some minor DxD Born spoilers are included in this Review
First, I want to give advice to anyone who've watched DxD Born and satisfied with it, you should SKIP this episode, just go to first episode of DxD Hero, there will be animation difference you'll either content or disappointed. But plot-wise, I don't think we need this episode as "bridge", we can continue into 4th season(DxD Hero) with final Born memories in mind.
Story:
As I stated above, this one is has some differences from final 4-episodes of DxD born but I think it's unnecessary. Main difference is Rias 'Arc' that's completely removed. I don't read the
...
LN, so I don't know the reason, but to us who've watched Born, we can't just erase it from our memory, right? The other major difference is how they resolve Issei rampage, and I would say this with 100% confidence, how DxD Born resolve that is ten times better than this. How could you change beautiful moment into silly joke? I don't care even if that's deviation from Novel, I still think it's unnecessary to create special episode for this crap.
Art:
Different studio handle 4th season including this, it's not unusual if they want to change art and animation style. I don't really want to complain, as mostly it change into lighter tone but at least they're still recognizable. BUT.. the one that I won't accept, and probably stay the same for entire 4th season is.. Rias Appearance. What a terrible things they did to the mature, elegant, beautiful looks of our Ruin Princess, they completely ruin it (no pun intended). And here, they change her into cliche cute and plump girl. Usually I like those kind of character art, but for Rias, that's complete bust of character. And I need to endure it for this and next installation of DxD?
So to summarize this, I won't recommend this episode for DxD anime fans (anime-only, as LN reader would have different perspective). That recommendation also applied to those who are completely new to DxD series (are they even exist?), they would need to watch the first 3 season anyway, and that's from different studio, result in different art style and plot, like it or not.

Antartic..
That would be a little unusual theme for an adventure, slice of life anime. I've seen tons of slice of life anime, mostly related to ordinary school or social activities with some comedy and little to none actual main plot. But this one is something new, though I must admit.. what appeal me the most at first would be that list of big shot, popular seiyuu-tachi on this anime. All the four main characters seiyuu are my all-time favorite, so it's worth a shot, right? that's what I told myself back then. But after watching few episodes, that's hardly matters anymore, because Yorimoi itself
...
is amazing and never got me bored at all.
Let's start with the plot, with that kind of synopsis, though it's interesting in some ways, some of us (including me) would have this weird feeling. Antartic.. why would any high school girls want to go there, and how they even plan to go there? those thoughts still feels unreal on first episode, but the real plot start kicking on 2nd episode. Everything will become interesting from there, how those four girls meet and join feels natural, with cute comedy here and there. Then.. you'll follow their journey and experience feels train with them.
Characters:
Strong, that's the simple word that can describe the characters here. Every single girl of four is unique: awkward, silly, noisy, shy.. you'll find all kind of amusement and chemistry in them. And I would say the seiyuu did great job portraying their characters, as expected from my faves. Also, the expedition team seems fun as well, though they're not the main focus here.
Sound/music and Art:
No complain here, the soundtracks are fit with most of the scenes, including the sad and melancholic ones. The OP/ED songs are not bad too. The animations are fluid and eye-pleasing, though I'm no expert here so I'll leave it as that.
I would recommend this to anyone who enjoy good slice of life with a lot of interesting characters. It is fun to watch them bonding and support each others, it will give you pleasant feeling and some courage, well at least that's what I experienced. If by any chance you expect a lot of comical comedy with cute girls, I suggest to look for another. Yorimoi is fun, but it has some melancholic and dramatic sides as well, which is why I really like it. This will be my favorite SoL for a while, solid 10/10.

Start slow and boring, but gradually getting more interesting towards the end. As a fans of 1st season of overlord, that's my impression after watching this.
Without spoil anything, overlord II consists of 2 arcs (just like the prequel). and I will tell you that first arc are slow and not so good, either story or action-wise. But it's building and contributing something to the plot, and one of them I've seen it already at 2nd arc. And maybe there are more to come in the next season (I really hope there will be 3rd season). But still, it would be better if they shorten
...
the 1st arc in just maybe 2-3 episodes, instead of 5. And I will tell you why next.
Next let's talk about more interesting stuffs, the next arc offers a lot of good and promising developments. The story is quite interesting, and there are a lot of funny new characters too. Some are related to events in the 1st season, too bad the dangerous enemies (or should we called nation or organization) that gave Ains quite trouble before not properly updated here. but they still appear few times, that's pretty good too though it only increasing my curiosity. Aside from that, the 2nd arc provide more insight to Ains subordinates, like sebaz, cocytus, demiurge and that's nice to see.
I would like to give more score if not for the short of episodes. There are a lot of things that I think it should be explained better and/or need longer introduction. The new characters sometimes just appeared randomly in the middle of events, and later we found that they're actually important characters. Some events switch randomly too because too much happening in the same time frame. That's even worse if you expects Ains get more screen times like I do, because he rarely appear throughout entire episodes, well.. he appeared a lot in the end though. What I want to say is, there should be more episodes, maybe they should make overlord 2 into 24-25 episodes. If not, they should just shorten the 1st arc.
The verdict is, overlord 2 still good to go, it's not better than the prequel though. Well, just endure the first few episodes if you just starting and bored. Overall overlord is good series, including season 1 this series can easily become my top isekai, game like, fantasy story. The concepts evil undead as protagonists is quite unique if I should say. Though Log Horizon still ranked above this, but I think it's plain rude to compare this to simple and brainless kid show like SAO. Please refrain to watch this if you just expect a lot of mindless actions and sappy love story. And I strongly recommend Overlord for those who like great fantasy anime inspired by game and have deep and interesting story and memorable characters.

Have you ever felt that some moments in the story you read should last longer or better could last forever?
That's what I felt at some point reading this manga. I might be exaggerated here, but the bittersweet story will hit you hard if you crave for good romance. The reason why I felt that way is that our main character Shiki successfully bring out my sympathy. He had to face constant suffering and dangers, but only got so little happy and romantic moments. But even if it's short, it's very sweet that I find myself re-read it few times.
This is a short story about drama,
...
romance with supernatural being involved. Our Shiki here always have some bad circumstances even before more strange phenomena happen in his city. His meeting with the princess is strange enough to make me asking and wondering, how could that even happen?? as the plot progressed a lot of things started to made sense and self explained. The story is really good, even if you feel confused at first, you will be hooked eventually. There are some great twists near the end that I could never guessed before.
The supernatural powers here are interesting, though they're not original in concepts. There are some good fighting scenes that I want to see those to be animated. But after finishing the manga in one sit, I'm afraid that the anime will disappoint me, and I'm satisfied already with how the manga going. This is an old manga that I wish I've known earlier, I'm familiar with some type moon works like fate series, but this one really is hidden treasure (or maybe I'm just negligence in the past). So in the end, I would recommend this manga greatly, for romance lover out there.

Bizarre introduction and rather weak follow up,
That's what I want to comment about this manga. At first you'll introduced to an usual another world transfer thingy. Then crazy things would keep happening to our main character. I was really hyped at first few chapters. Who wouldn't want to have super beautiful attendants, great respects, OP ability? but rather than the MC itself, I'm more interested in his servants (sorry little spoiler here, you'll find them soon anyway in first 5 or so chapters). Their characteristics are funny, I mean really funny and unique. Sure they are loyal, but also keep bring troubles to our MC.
...
That's very amusing to watch. I can say that the characters are the strongest point of this manga (10/10).
Like I said before, the story started strong, but it will slow down when the adventure begins. But I wouldn't say it bad. I would say it's learning phase for MC to need to go through, because he's from another world after all. but his servants will keep his journey interesting, or at least for me. Unlike most of isekai stories out there, the MC isn't just wanting to go back to his original world, but he also has another purposes in the current world (I won't spoil it of course). And of course, this manga still long way to go when I write this review (only 29 chapters). There is web novel and translations for this but I've yet to read it. I think the big arc will be coming. I expect it will be great, and show us more of our MC and servants true power. Another thing to mention is, I don't think MC will have more harem (unlike 'death march') if that's not your liking you shouldn't worry.
I recommend this manga for isekai story lovers. As die-hard fans myself.

- Reborn to another world.. checked
- OP/cheat starter skill.. checked
- cool looking protagonist.. Hell no
Back then when I first read this manga, I think of this as weird, unusual way to tell another world story. I mean it's fuckin slime, we talk about here. It started funny, but after few chapters, I grew fond of that slime. Sure, the main character has OP skill right from the start, but he don't act all high and mighty, neither trying to look cool or abuse his power. So, instead of getting sick of it, I started to liking the slime.
The story itself started adventure-like when the world
...
introduced to us. There are a lot of races of monsters he met, as well as human. What make this interesting is, how he is underestimated greatly at first but he keep prove them wrong. I really like that kind of character development. He venture, he learn, make allies, utilize his ability to the fullest. The plot thickens at some point, the real danger coming and then he is forced to make decisions and take responsibility.
Some of us, including me might think that the main character will stay strongest forever. But that's not the case at all. Soon the slime would realize that he can't rely on his skill only and use his own wit to solve the problems at hand. We could say, the operator is more important than the ability itself.
This manga is still ongoing (chapter 35 when I write this review), and I can tell that there are a lot more story to tell. Greatly recommended.

Tate Yuusha is not your average hero story, that's what I want to emphasize from the start. If you expect things started great/awesome from the beginning, and can't tolerate a little bit drama, I suggest you to look away, as you'll be disappointed anyway. I think it's clear from the synopsis too.
Okay lets move to the actual review, I think this could be one of the best isekai(another world) stories I've read or watch until now. If you have a lot of experience in isekai anime/manga, you'll find this to be unique. This might remind you a lot to real life, where tyrant and corrupt
...
scum sometimes become ruler in our world. our MC won't experience glory or rosy life in the world he's summoned into. He will face humiliation because of the scum I've mention before. But I assure you that's only in the beginning. If you think your heart can take it and don't have problem with a little bit revenge story, you should read this. Because even though the main course is about revenge, I find a lot more sweet and glorious deeds on hero of the shield journey.
That's a little bit more about the story, another strong point of this manga will be the characters. There are huge developments here, even though on few characters only. What we can see from Naofumi, Raphtalia, and some characters when they're first introduced will change greatly as the story progressing. Most of them will experience hardship, and they won't just play around with super OP ability like some other protagonist.
Finally, I will recommend this as either fantasy or drama isekai manga. I find some news that there will be anime of this, and I can't wait too see it.

Citrus is a wonderful gift to Shoujo Ai fans. As die-hard fans of yuri anime, I would say citrus is more restless than the others. while the kind like sasameki koto or aoi hana have sweet and peaceful feeling, this one busy with events and maybe over dramatic actions. of course that isn't necessarily bad, if anything it would be more intriguing to watch.
Characters:
Most people might realize this already, that some main character in romance anime usually dense beyond help. That stereotype might be used to prolong the series and delay as much as possible the conclusion audience have been waiting for (cough.. nise***).
...
That's way some anime like citrus will be nice change of pace. The main characters are honest to their feeling, and it's very cute to watch. the others are unique and interesting as well, some are really funny, like Harumin.
Story:
The story itself is good, there are no useless fillers, most of the events are related to the plot. The atmosphere feels serious, so if you want to watch something light or more playful yuri, try yuru yuri xD. There are anxiety and conflicts which we already know from the synopsis what is the cause (aside from mei own problem, which you'll understand once you watch this anime). they're both girls and stepsisters, that's why they hesitate. That alone make this interesting and intriguing. What is the solution awaiting for them, that's what we want to know.
Sound:
the background sounds are okay I guess, it bring feels at certain occurrences nicely. what I really like are the OP and ED songs, they are wonderful and really suit this show.
Enjoyment:
Well I would give citrus 10/10 for enjoyment, I can't explain it well but the flow of this anime is just feels natural for me, I enjoy every second of it, including some cheesy dialogues (well you can't escaped that in japanese shows). The yuri or stepsister aspects don't bother me at all, yeah some "Good and Noble" people might want to complain and harassing this anime because of that. Really, just stay away from shoujo ai/yuri things if you can't stand it, instead of watching just to feel bad (of course that's applied to any other category). In the end, I really recommend citrus to shoujo ai fans, even though too bad it's just 12 episodes.
