Not gonna lie, I want to like this movie but it did disappoint me in some ways. Let me explain:
Firstly, the art style is very reminiscent of Wolf Children and I liked it a lot. The composition of the music was top-notch as well. But this movie lacks the character development and plot that makes the movie fall short on meeting my expectations.
Let's talk about the character development, The main guy, Kun was a spoiled kid who had an attention child complex and demands a lot of attention. This is a good driving point but the way he handles the situation is honestly very

I read this manga based on PewDiePie's recommendation and boy oh boy, it is gruesome. The story started out simple, Guts, the main protagonist was striving to survive amidst the constant warring of mercenaries. He went around fighting for different mercenary groups until he met the Band of The Falcons and that's when he went down the rabbit hole.

At first I was sold by the amazing art style and the animation. The concept of humankind attempting to transcend nature only for the plan to backfire was still acceptable. The opening delivers an impactful backstory to the plot. However there are pedantic errors that I felt frustrated while watching it.
The voice acting was terrible to say the least. No offense to the sound supervisor I think they really did an amazing job at the sound effects. But the voice acting is so out of place that it makes me think that they have no idea of their roles. Like who sounds so soft when ... |
