Love, a feeling as beautiful as it is selfish. Kuzu no Honkai is not one of those classic brainless teen romances where you have to wait 12 episodes before seeing two characters kiss. It's more of a romance about impossible love.
Here the very theme of the anime is selfishness because practically all the characters are. Doing evil around you to fill a void, doing it for revenge or even doing it for pure pleasure. Doing it to take from others what that they can't have. The anime doesn't go further than that and that's very good. It illustrates how far humans can go to fulfill

I was quite perplexed when I started reading Metamorphosis. I told myself that it was just another classic hentai and that there wasn't much interesting in it but out of curiosity. And honestly I wasn't disappointed.
Beyond its hentai side I think that Metamorphosis is trying to teach us a life lesson. That no matter your situation or your relationships, you must always be ready to help people who are in distress without expecting anything in return. I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. My deer friend nokotan is an anime that goes very VERY far into comedy (sometimes even too far). The characters are endearing, the concept of a human deer hybrid is quiet amusing and original and everything is enhanced by quality animation (even the deer which are animated in 3D). As a person who hasn't played the game, I loved the anime.
I can understand that players of the original game might not like it because of its differences, but I advise you to at least take the time to take a look.
