Elfen Lied is a controversial anime, but I think it is a masterpiece. It is dark and disturbing, but also thought-provoking and visually stunning. The characters are complex and well-developed, and the story stays with you long after you finish watching it.
Of course, Elfen Lied is not for everyone. It contains extreme violence, gore, and child nudity. However, I think that the anime's dark subject matter is handled tastefully and with purpose. Elfen Lied explores themes of violence, prejudice, and the nature of humanity in a way that is both challenging and rewarding.
