If this was better fleshed out, this could have been a great series, but it ends barely satisfactory.
Art - 10/10 the details and drawings of the spirits are incredible!!! Certain scenes you can tell a lot of love was poured into them.
Plot - 5/10 the premise is great, but there is no real conclusion to the problems the characters face.
Characters - 5/10 none of the characters have character development due to the story ending what feels like is the middle of the story. There's lots of intetesting characters, but as I said above there's no conclusions to their problems

If you're a newbie to horror manga, this is a lot as there are a ton of triggers and it's intense. However, if you're a seasoned horror fan, then Shoujo Tsubaki doesn't shock at all. The horrific scenes are pretty tamed or standard for horror manga, but the biggest issue I have is the flow of the story. It's incredibly disjointed and very rushed. You have the "main plot" of Midori finding love (?) in her messed up life, and then the story abruptly ends. The Promised Neverland starts out super strong and hooks you right in. As many have echoed, the first arc is the best as it's is well thought out and the execution of the tension was great. Even up to Goldy Pond was interesting, but then it goes down hill from there. The characters become flat and have no more character development. The overall plot starts to get mess as more and more characters and plot twists are introduced. By the end, you're just glad there's an ending that wraps up the hot mess of the final arcs. I love the manga for Gokushufudou, so I was so happy to see an anime adaptation of it.
I know many people hate the stylistic approach to the anime, as I too wished they had just completely animated it. However, it fits with the quirky story and characters (which are my favorite). I love every new character that is introduced and how absurd they are. I do wish there was more added in background noise as it felt empty at times. You get little sound effects, but adding some low level background music would help round out the short episodes better. It's a comedy so don't look ...

I was so excited to watch this considering the history of Yasuke and the mixing with mecha and magic. However, the anime fell flat for me.
Pros: I highly enjoyed a non-racist design for Yasuke as most anime use racist black face features when drawing Black characters. I also found the music pleasing to the ears and fitting to the style of the anime. I loved the fact that Yasuke has no magical powers and continually goes up against all these people that can easily kill him, but he keeps coming out on top. The fight scenes were well choreographed even if some CGI parts were ...

I decided to watch this based on how highly rated this film is on here, and maybe my standards are high, but this movie does not deserve such a high rating.
I'll praise it for the animation and the music. When not employing CGI, the animation is very beautiful and fluid. The soundtrack is very pleasing to the ears, and all the sound effects work incredibly well with the animation. However, this is where I stop praising the film. This movie was honestly not enjoyable.
