So Ra No Wo To

Sora no Woto is K-ON....If it was based on a music playing military platoon. Seriously though, its a 5 member platoon. They all act and look almost exactly like one of the K-ON characters. (except Ritsu, and mio looks different)

Although they have very different plotlines they both have magnificent animation, as well as that melodrama slice of life feeling. They both deal with sadness, seperation, and moving on. If you like one you will definitely like the other.

A-Channel
add

A-channel is so very similar to K-ON, it has the same entertainment. Both shows follow four moe girls that do moe things. Its like a western sitcom with japenese moe to spice it up a little. The characters are so similar. Literally, as i watch the first episode of A-channel i was thinking "That one is Yui, that one is Azusa, and that one is Mio." They are so similar. If you like one you will like the other, end of story. I liked both.

Dragon Crisis!

Both female leads have pyrokinesis. (control fire), have the same voice actress(Rie Kugimiya, who is the best voice actress ever), and are both incredibly cute. There are a lot of similar character types, for example there is a normal powerless shy girl that likes the male lead in both the anime. There is fighting as well as romance in both the anime. The shows will switch between and mix the two nicely. and both anime have special relics that both evil and good sides look for and use that have or enhance their supernatural abilities. Overall there are just too many similarities that you should just give the other anime a shot. (IMO Shakugan no Shana is better)
