Don't read this if you want a cooking manga, it's a mislead title

Story, your usual isekai tensei story. MC being powerful, got a skill that no one have, have the highest intelligent and no one can outshine him.

If you think this manga story will be like win the battle using food, then you definitely wrong. The story will just your usual politics stuff and MC cooking skill only as a hobby, didnt even related to his strategy or politics.

I really hate when the title mention about pastry but most of the content are about politics and only a few chapter that have cooking in it. ... When cooking scene or food scene there will be always something get in the way, so the story could continue on politics side. It's feel like cooking stuff only as an excuse to make this manga different than the others isekai manga.

To simple it up so far:
Cooking : 30% of the story
Politics : 70% of the story

Bayside Shakedown

So I only read until 5 volume so far, and I really love the pace of this manga. Volume 1 & 2 about police daily life and comedy. Volume 3 is where there is a real case. Volume 4 & 5, back to police daily life and comedy, also some introduction to another division in volume 4.

Well story mostly about comedy and daily life of police officer. I really enjoy their comedy while it's still relate to their work field. It's funny, it's fresh and it's really worth my time.

Manga character really good so far, there is so many type character in this manga, ... from a genius one to the idiotic one. Every character have their up and down moments. Also a few different prespective when they doing their jobs make this manga more interesting.

I really love female MC honesty and how she always trying her best to keep it up with work even it's a silly one. Well, this manga also tell how it's really hard to be a police officer. Maybe after reaading this manga I will have more respect to police officer who really serious at their jobs.

If you have a hard day and need a comedy manga, I definitely will recommend this manga. If you want a real story in this manga, try at least finished volume 3.

Unusual story

I love this manga story, seriously like this manga story are the most unusual post apocalypse for me. Most of the time post apocalypse story are always follow the same rule, post apocalypse -> fighting mosnter -> meet other people -> leadership or politics stuff -> fighting each others (human).

The most annoying for me about post apocalypse story are politics and when human nature always fighting each others just to make the story continue. But in this manga that things not really matter so much. I hope this manga story still continue to fighting monster instead going for politics or leadership stuff.

Since this is ... advanture manga, I really love how they meet with new people, new type enemy, using vehicle, management resource, and others.

This manga is not really incredible in term of art, but if you looking for new fresh air of post apocalypse manga story, I will definitely recommend this manga, it doesnt follow post apocalypse usual rule where there is politics and stuff or fighting with each others for most of the time.

Anti Hero

Reading this manga at first will make you feel weird because of the new concept it got, for some people maybe will need adapt to it's pace and concept.

Art: yes this is what shonen action art is. The pose are great, the prespective are what you are looking for in shonen action. The art is just awesome.

Story: the story cant be judge on chapter 10 or below. Story got more better with it's chapter, more reveal about their enviroment, situation, politics, corruption, organizational structures, and others.

Writing: just what you are hope from shonen action. There is rival, unreveal past, unknown leader, future forecast, and ... others, this will make more hype for the next chapters.

Character: a little bit annoying for a character that have superhero syndrome, but this make the story better, a fair trade off. Rival also match with MC annoying traits.

If you are looking for anti hero, you come to right place, go read this. This manga is just your usual shonen action manga.

Medical book in disguise

Have you ever read a manga about poilice? Detective? Yes, this manga is about forensics, it's more scientific than those 2 and more realistic on how completed the murder case.

Art: The art really detaill when it's explain about forensics and it's easy to understand with the illustration. I have no problem about art on other things.

Story: the main story it self reveal on every volume with some other cases that can hook you up about forensics. Detail explanation about forensics make this manga seems heavy to a certain reader, but if you a someone who want to know more about forensics, I ... guess you will be okay with it.

Character: development about character seems nice. The detail explanation on his past, his motivation to be a forensics. It's all detail and fit with the story.

If you are really into something new, this manga is prefect for you, it gives a new sight about forensics. If you are a medical student, then this manga maybe will enhance your knowledge.

Vampire trend

It seems this year vampire trend began to rise, there is anime announcement about vampire and there at least 3 new manga about vampire include this one. This review will compare to another vampire manga.

Art: cuteness overload, that is how to describe all about this manga. The art alone is enough to tell the story and cuteness part is the reason I always re-read this manga. This manga level cuteness is the highest compare to 3 new manga.

Story: your usual school life story, fill with school activity and interaction. There also a new a character introduce just to enhance story experience and development.

Character: so ... far character only introduction at the school, no background at home or their past this make so many opportunity to a new story.

If you looking for a cute vampire that will heal your days, you should read this manga. The level cuteness of this vampire manga are above those 3. This manga selling point only at it's cuteness art, there is no more than that at this point. If you come here to search for a serious manga, you are definitely lost at this point and want to stay away from this wholesome manga.

Old days ecchi manga

Remember your 200X ecchi manga? This exactly the same concept, except the story got more longer.

Art: it is advised to read this at age 18+ since may contain a few ecchi scene. The art good enough for ecchi manga. Just the acctual standard.

Story: the story keep developing every one problem solved there will another problem related to stalking, this make this manga rich with story and character. MC also have alot development in story progress and unusual background story (not a high schooller) make another great point for this manga. Also, 10-13 pages is perfect length.

Character: pretty realistic for an ecchi manga. ... Character traits also based on human limitation both pyschology and physical.

Overall I enjoy this manga. If you want a nostalgic 200X ecchi manga, you should read this one.

Is this really a Shonen action manga?

That question pop up while reading ranger reject. Shonen action manga is the most popular manga that have most reader and have most potential to be animated. This review will only point to compare with mostly common shonen action manga.

Art: nothing noticeable from this point. As a action Shounen, ranger reject definitely not the usual art that I have been read. There is rarely "cool" moment pose for MC or villain in one page.

Writing: the most reason I read action manga is because there is less dialogue in action manga. Ranger reject writing has so many dialogue, even during ... fighting page there is a lot explanation, this make action experience in this manga drop drasitacaly. Ranger reject at this point feels like a manga that comes from novel adaptation.

This manga doesnt fit in shonen action manga for me, more like shonen drama with a little action. If you are looking for a unusual action manga, ranger reject might give you a new way to enjoy this genre that doesnt usually offer in other manga.
