Naturally I would give this show a 7 because its a very good show. I haven't read the original material but unless they do adapt it, I hear they will not be animating the summer festival which all this has been leading up to. I have no idea who would make such a stupid choice, long story short, if you wanna continue and watch episode 11 and 12, you have to read the manga. If you are watching it after the show has aired, I feel obligated to let you know that this is one of the worst mishandlings of a shows adaption I have

I don't know anything else to say. When I originally started watching Gintama, I was so into trying to take it seriously because that's what I do with shonen. Blindly going into it knowing it'll be funny yet feeling underwhelmed I felt was expected. I took a break and one day I was bored and decided to just sit down with an open mind and binge it. Feeling free of burden, I enjoyed everything. Every episode got better and I always smiled every single time I clicked on an episode. I laughed, I cried, I loved the entire cast.
