I wasn't initially sure I would enjoy this series when I found it recommended online, but I'm glad I started watching. It takes on a "Mystery of the Week" style of episode, but does treat them with more care. It's less "find who murdered this character" and more "bring this lost soul to peace alongside the one who loved them." The story set up is interesting as well; there's not much clear ambition for the main character and the Emperor specifically, but I have a feeling that will change as the story goes on.
